Cottage holiday rentals in Chautauqua County

The quiet neighborhood with birds singing, waves lapping on the shore, and the breezes coming through the screened deck doors make sleeping in that oh so comfortable bed an overnight vacation. You will certainly get your rest! If you come from the North, make sure to stop in for a take out supper at Off-The-Hook Seafood place at the Dunkirk Pier before the last 5 miles to Wisteria Cottage.

Kelly's cottage was perfect for me and my boys to get away! The stream behind the house was lovely and just a short paddle to Chautauqua Lake. My kids loved the hot tub! The cottage was fully stocked with dishes to cook with and coffee and snacks (my boys loved the mini popcorn!), as well as, plenty of fresh linens and towels. We had such a great time and are looking forward to making this a yearly tradition already!

we had a wonderful time, the place was amazing, so roomie and comfortably, so much to offer at the house, then a couple minute walk to the beach, the littles had a blast, can't wait to go again

Overall, Amanda’s place was adorable and a great getaway for a long weekend! Amanda is very responsive and kind. We had a few hiccups with the house (technical things) and she was very responsive and willing to help as much as she could despite not being in the area. It is a tight space for more than 6 people. There were 7 total in our group so keep in mind it only having one shower and some close sleeping quarters. The beds were very comfy and clean though. It was still cool with the AC window units on too (if staying in the summer). All in all would stay again!

The home is so beautiful, I took pictures because I really want to build a home and it’s what I’m going to base it off of!!! Kathlene was so helpful. Anything we needed she was right on it.!! we will plan on coming again in the future! You will not be disappointed in this location or the home itself!!

We really enjoyed our stay. Close to many wineries. Visited Ellicottville for the day. Walked both beaches. Deb was always in communication. So thankful for the kuerig!!

Absolutely loved our stay at this Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel incredibly welcome. The space was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect—close to the water. We especially enjoyed our morning walks around the area and looking at all the homes and our dog especially loved running on the small beach area. Beach is Dog friendly till 10am and after 5pm. Every detail was taken care of, making our stay truly memorable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a wonderful getaway! Would definitely stay here again! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Ps… thank you for the beach chairs!!!

Our family loved this Airbnb!! The private beach and deck area were so perfect and relaxing. We made meals in every evening and had game nights in the sun room. It was exactly what we all needed!!

We are happy about this finding. The house worked perfectly for our needs. It is very well stocked and we had everything we needed. No hiccups and super easy to find. We also felt safe in the area. We will definitely go back!

WOW! That’s what we said when we opened the front door. The view of the lake was awesome and Barbara’s house was perfect for the 4 of us celebrating our 70th birthdays. We have stayed in many Airbnb’s before but this house had every amenity you could ask for. It is tastefully decorated and well stocked including paper products, shampoos, spices, etc. The beds were very comfortable and the view of the morning sunrise from the master bedroom was absolutely breathtaking! We visited the National Comedy Museum in Jamestown and walked the beautiful grounds of the Chautauqua Institute ! Barbara was the perfect hostess and even offered to mail the clothes we left in the dryer back to us. As one ages, we tend to remember the “moments” and forget the “things”🥴. Thank you, Barbara, for transforming your shack into a spectacular cottage and sharing it with us.

This is an awesome place close to beach, restaurants etc. We loved everything about this place! Will be staying there again!

This place was everything we had hoped it would be , it was so clean and beautiful. We made alot of beautiful memories that we will treasure for a lifetime. The host was very responsive and helpful.. I would come back again and I will be telling everyone about this place

This was a fabulous choice for a weekend wine getaway with girlfriends! The description of the place was spot on! I have been coming to the area for 15 years and always wanted to stay at this place because it looks so unique from the outside. It did not disappoint, and the hostess was spectacular in term of communication. We will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay! The place was nice and clean and so wonderfully decorated. Fully stocked and had clear instructions on how to navigate the house. My family just loved it!

We cannot say enough about how perfect this rental was. Gorgeous home with many amenities and right on the lake. Lots of lakefront views with three different patios and porches. Beautiful outdoor furniture. Three different sitting areas and two with lakefront views. The third sitting area is an entertainment area. The loft is amazing with four beds and a half bath. We were on the property to celebrate a family reunion and my birthday so we didn’t go to any restaurants. But the local bar was fun! Kayaks and bikes are available. Fabulous place!

What a fantastic place!! So charming and steps away from Goose Creek. I grew up spending quite a bit of time at my grandparents cottage on Goose Creek. It brought back some great memories. Very relaxing and peaceful for someone that's looking to unwind. Lots to do if that's your jam. I will definitely visit again and bring friends!!

My inlaws and I had a great 3 night stay at this location! We visited the local wineries and Niagara falls! Perfect location, and a beautiful outdoor area and plenty of room for us 4. We got to see hummingbirds from the deck too!

Dave and I enjoyed our stay at the Steen Cottage! We were visiting friends who had a cabin down the hill, on the lake, so we spent most of our time there. Even though we didn't use the kitchen, except for our morning coffee, we found it well equipped and clean. All rooms were tidy and comfortable. We can't wait to go back next summer and highly recommend this lovely cottage. Deb and Dave

The stay at David's cottage was perfect! our focus was fishing, so we did not spend a lot of time at the cottage besides sleeping and meals. David was helpful in getting us parked, supplying amenities for our boats and getting us situated. Overall, very satisfied with our experience and would absolutely stay again!

The cottage was perfect for us! It is just like the pictures and Stephen and Chelsea were very responsive. I also want to mention how family friendly the cottage is. We have a 3 and 1 yr old and the cottage had baby gates upstairs and downstairs, an adorable play kitchen set that kept them very entertained, pack and play, high chair and more. We really appreciated all the extras for the kiddos - thanks so much!

This is a lovely little cottage for 2 people, but can sleep more with the sleeper couch and the attic loft. Love it! This was our second stay.
