Welcome to The Phineas Handerson House, originally built in 1820 by the “the happiest man in town” Able Wilder. This apartment is old school, it features two bedrooms, full kitchen/dining area, and full bathroom. The family room sleeps two on pull out sofa. Guests have a private entrance at the front door and off-street parking behind the building. The outside of the house is older and it needs new paint, as you can see in the picture, the inside is decorated by our drunk Bohemian Grandmother.

You could also walk down the paved road to the neighborhood beach & swim platform. About 30 minutes to Pats Peak, Sunapee, or Crotched Mtn ski resorts. Beds for 6, 2 full baths, W/D, fully equipped kitchen, open living space, gas fireplace, water views, gas grill, parking, firepit, internet. We do not allow pets or smoking.

It’s 15 minutes to Brattleboro, 5 minutes to the boat ramp on the Connecticut River, 15 minutes to Lake Spofford, and 50 minutes to Mt. Snow. Across the road is a (seasonal) tumbling waterfall and gorge called “the Devils Den”. The backyard leads to woodlands with miles of trails.
