However, due to outdoor temperatures, the water may feel cooler on colder days and swimming may not be comfortable. In July and August, the pool heating function is turned off. The gazebo (sunshade) curtains will be installed from mid-July through August. This is an old private house that is over 100 years old, built in the style of a Kyoto townhouse, located on Otaki Castle Town Street, which is called Boso's Little Edo. Otaki Castle (the 100,000-stone castle of Honda Tadakatsu, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Tokugawa Ieyasu) is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, carefully preserved, and the old castle town, which is rare in Chiba, spreads out, evoking a sense of nostalgia. It is a location with the sea, mountains, rivers, valleys, and black water hot springs. (Within a 10- to 30-minute drive) You can use it as a base to fully enjoy the nature of Boso. Chibanian is world-famous for fishing for Japanese pond smelt in Lake Takataki and for the reversal of the Earth's magnetic field that occurred hundreds of thousands of years ago. (A visitor center is scheduled to open in 3 years) The facility is located in a place overlooking the Isumi River, and the ground is bedrock. If you are coming by car, it is 20 minutes from the Ichihara-Tsurumai Interchange on the Ken-O Expressway. It takes 80 minutes by express bus from Tokyo Station to Otaki. There are few people whenever you go, and it is just like a hideaway. The water temperature is high until around October, so you can enjoy playing in the sea.
