You can actively move your body with paragliding, kayaking, rafting, and SUP experiences, or rent a bicycle and take a leisurely ride through the town. Nagatoro has many delicious udon and soba shops. Harvesting chestnuts, grapes, Nagatoro strawberries, and more is also fun. If you're lucky, you'll see an SL train running on the Chichibu Railway, which runs parallel to the national highway! A 50-second walk from the log house, about 90 steps to the trampoline park (reservation required) where you can play with your children to your heart's content, and have an early BBQ dinner in the garden. We have a rental plan that can accommodate up to 11 people for the entire inn. This is a private lodging facility that the owner renovated himself by hand, with a 50-80 year old traditional house. In recent years, the hostel has been popular as a filming spot, and is located on the front approach to Chichibu Shrine (Banba Street), which is dotted with Showa-era retro buildings. The nearest station, Miyahata station, and Chichibu Shrine are both within a 3-minute walk. On the first floor, there is also the official tap bar for Chichibu barley beer, and Mahoro Bar, which offers a variety of regional craft beers and snacks such as homemade Musashibuta sausages, and Kuchina Salve, a famous restaurant serving Italian cuisine made with local Chichibu ingredients. The chef grows vegetables, harvests wheat, and takes care of chickens, all with a commitment to organic. A restaurant where you can not only enjoy the food, but also experience the story of the ingredients.
