The distinctive architecture is a redesign of an old townhouse using modern construction methods and traditional materials. It is about a 10-minute drive to Arakawa and Iwabata, where you can descend the Nagatoro Line. It is dotted with historic temples, so it is recommended to visit the power spots. You can actively move your body with paragliding, kayaking, rafting, and SUP experiences, or rent a bicycle and take a leisurely ride through the town. Nagatoro has many delicious udon and soba shops. Harvesting chestnuts, grapes, Nagatoro strawberries, and more is also fun. If you're lucky, you'll see an SL train running on the Chichibu Railway, which runs parallel to the national highway! A 50-second walk from the log house, about 90 steps to the trampoline park (reservation required) where you can play with your children to your heart's content, and have an early BBQ dinner in the garden. In the evening, if the weather is good, you can talk quietly around the fire under the stars, or have some grown-up time relaxing while watching the flames of the wood stove, with the lights in the room turned off. This is a private container house on the shore of Lake Gyokudō, a beautiful lake in Suefuno, Chichibu. We connected a 20 ft container and a 12 ft container with an outdoor living room. Limited to one group, so you can enjoy with peace of mind. We reuse containers that were actually used at sea, so you can feel the authentic taste and romance. The site is 250 tsubo, so it's okay to bring a tent. Barbecues and fires are allowed on the premises. You can enjoy a barbecue over a direct fire. We also have a tent sauna, drum can bath, firewood cutting experience, row boat, etc. Please let me know if you have any requests. You can go down to the shore of Lake Gyokudoyo from the premises. We have a rental plan that can accommodate up to 11 people for the entire inn. This is a private lodging facility that the owner renovated himself by hand, with a 50-80 year old traditional house. In recent years, the hostel has been popular as a filming spot, and is located on the front approach to Chichibu Shrine (Banba Street), which is dotted with Showa-era retro buildings. The nearest station, Miyahata station, and Chichibu Shrine are both within a 3-minute walk. On the first floor, there is also the official tap bar for Chichibu barley beer, and Mahoro Bar, which offers a variety of regional craft beers and snacks such as homemade Musashibuta sausages, and Kuchina Salve, a famous restaurant serving Italian cuisine made with local Chichibu ingredients. The chef grows vegetables, harvests wheat, and takes care of chickens, all with a commitment to organic. A restaurant where you can not only enjoy the food, but also experience the story of the ingredients. About the building This log house was built in 1992 as a barn management building and was renovated in 2023 after 30 years. The construction, which uses a lot of logs over 50 years old, has a sense of depth, and even after many years, the scent of the wood is still appreciated and heals the hearts of those who visit. Above the building is the famous Harp Bridge, a symbol of Chichibu, which is beautifully lit up depending on the season. There is a Muse Park nearby where you can enjoy cycling, walking, go-karts, and tennis. At the adjacent affiliated facility, Chichibu Farm Stay Cafe, you can enjoy sweets and drinks made with ingredients from our own garden. (Tuesdays and Wednesdays closed 10: 00-16: 00) We also accept fruit and vegetable harvesting experiences. It is a Japanese house surrounded by lush greenery. The space available for rent is 120 ㎡ (about 70 tatami mats). 7 minutes by car from the Kan-etsu Expressway, Hanazono Interchange. Free parking for 4 cars is available. It is a 9-minute walk from Hachioji Station on the Tobu Tojo Line. Since it is a private rental, we can only allow 1-2 people to stay for up to 7 consecutive nights. Long-term stays are possible for 3 or more people. Please use it for sightseeing such as Nagatoro, Chichibu, and Ikuno, or for work. You will have the entire first floor of a rural house to yourselves.
