Mi Palafito is a house on wooden stilts located on the banks of the Gamboa River in Castro, Chiloé. It was built in 1952 by my grandfather, and we've lived there ever since. As the years went by, my grandfather taught my father how to maintain this typical island construction, which we have maintained over time.
