Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Chowan County

Had a great time fishing here!! The place had a well stoked kitchen and a nice grill! There's also another fishing area nearby by car that was great too!

We enjoyed a peaceful stay after long days on bikes. We were in town for the NC Coastal ride. After riding for 30+ miles each day we came back to a tranquil location. The home is immaculate. Every item one would ever need was provided. It was perfect to have a full size fridge for our supplies. Beth even left firewood in case we wanted to enjoy the fire pit. We were able to stretch and get in a yoga session on the dock. Yoga mats were provided. The home feels like a ship in that it is surrounded by water. The waves and fresh air made for incredible sleep each night. An osprey nest is outside the window. With the binoculars we were able to watch the progress of the nest and the amazing pair catch fish. The communication throughout the stay was spot on. The “billion dollar” view is remarkable, but the amenities and care from the homeowner make this is top notch vacation spot.

We had a great stay in Merry Hill. Kate was very responsive and helpful. Jordan's Retreat was definitely a retreat for our family. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed, with some nice extra touches. Indoors and out, there are many places to rest and relax. The river is lovely and we enjoyed taking the kayaks out. It was so peaceful. The location is good and the drive to the Outer Banks is easy and makes a nice day trip. Nearby Edenton is a beautiful town with cute shops and nice coffee shops & restaurants.

Scenic views, relaxing stay. Great fishing from the dock and stunning sunsets over the Sound. We had a great time watching dozens of hummingbirds at the feeders over morning coffee on the deck. Kids had plenty of yard to play in and had a blast with the Pokémon chess set and the bunk beds. Thanks for a great stay!

we had a great stay at Betty's Bungalow. The house was spacious and cozy. Had everything that we needed. Located on a beautiful peaceful Farm. Rachel and Tim were very friendly and give us good advice of places to go. the homemade banana bread that Rachel made us was a wonderful treat!

This place is great! Very beautiful, amazing porch and super fun place to stay. The only thing we didn’t love was that the fishing is very tough off the dock because of snags, but we did catch fish and had a wonderful time!

We loved our quick getaway to Gina's cottage. The backyard was DREAMY with the chairs and hammock. The place was spotless and felt cozy. She has games, activities and good amenities.

I have no complaints! The hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating. I felt welcomed and had no issues expressing any concerns that arose. Anytime I mentioned anything they were sure to address it. Because it's a venue, and not a place to stay, I'm sure I won't need to book with them again, however I would of I needed to. Thank you so much for everything.

Our stay was perfect for us. The open floor plan made it easy to clean up and go before checkout. The beds are really comfortable and we felt like we could really relax. We rented during the fall/winter but could really see this place being a perfect spot over the summer months!

Very awesome stay. It was my bday week and chose this spot since I couldn’t go to Cabo and I wasn’t disappointed. Trailer was in an awesome place. Awesome neighbors , very helpful. Out house was well maintained. Fishing spot was awesome and playground area is good for kids (even though I didn’t go) a lot of great places to go In town. Very highly recommend this place and I’m the AirBNB queen when I travel.

Maureen was flexible with us checking in 2hrs early. The house was clean! We got to explore the area, not much to do, but it was peaceful. Be sure to check out the trail by the COA! It was beautiful! The big fenced yard was a great addition for we had our dog with us. The pool was an added bonus! However, there was no “active pool cleaner” and there were a lot of bugs and dirt from the trees on the water—which was understandable. Other than that, everything was great! Felt right at home! My family and I throughly enjoyed our stay. The outdoor space is gorgeous and we watched one of the most beautiful sunsets down by the water. The kids enjoyed fishing, although we didn’t catch anything. This place was a wonderful place to make memories that will last for a lifetime. Thank you Laura for sharing your home with others. ❤️

My family and I love this big old house. Enough space to have togetherness and yet enough space to have a room for quiet time. My adult children would like to make this our annual vacation spot, next time we're going to try booking during cooler months as well. I had the opportunity to speak with our host, Debbie, she was very nice and helpful. Thank you to our hosts!

We were a party of three girlfriends staying on our way to OBX. George’s place provided the perfect layover. All beds and other furnishings were comfortable and the house was spotless. Highly recommend!

This is a small house on a four-lane road, but there is moderate traffic most of the time and little traffic at night. It is tidy and clean, with a well-stocked kitchen, good linens, and comfortable furniture and beds. It is pet-friendly and there is a small, unfenced back yard, as well as good areas to walk a dog nearby. It is a little over a mile to the waterfront, and an easy walk down and back. A grocery story, fast food, a restaurant, and CVS and Walgreen's are located very close by for convenience. The major drawbacks are a busy road (which is not an issue most of the time) and the small bathroom, which didn't bother me but was a bit cramped for my husband who is a lot taller and could use more elbow room. We have stayed here four times now and find it a very reasonable place for a couple to four people to stay. We'd be happy to rent this house again.

We were thrilled with this property! Tons of space, very comfortable, clean, everything you need and fabulous view of the river! It was a haven for us after very busy days! We felt very at home and will definitely be back!

What a lovely home! It felt cozy and welcoming as soon as we walked in. So many interesting things around the house. Demetrea is clearly very creative. It's easy walking distance to the main business district and the waterfront. The front porch is a great place to have morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Demetrea is very responsive, available for questions and helpful overall. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay in this historic home. The home was spotless and welcoming. We had plenty of space and enjoyed the antique furniture and decor. The backyard was large, private and completely fenced in. The bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the brightness with open shades during the day yet had plenty of privacy at night. We spent most of our time in the fully stocked game room. The kitchen had more than everything needed for our stay. The bathrooms were completely stocked. I would highly recommend this stay to my friends and family. 5 Stars!!! Such a convenient location.

It’s always great going back to Melody’s when we’re visiting family in Edenton! Especially helpful to be able to cook meals for our daughter & son-in-law when their baby’s were born the last 2 years. Sitting in the screened in porch for morning coffee and listening to the symphony of birds was beautifully peaceful! We love the new & comfortable cushions for the porch furniture! Everything was just right for us at Melody’s!
