Casa do Rio Alva is a very special place with private access to the river! Our country house is located in the village of Secarias in the heart of the nature of central Portugal, 4 km from the village of Arganil and 55 km from the city of Coimbra. Exploring the Alva River from our home is a unique experience, where the following stand out: avocets, bees, kingfishers, crows, swallows, foxes, field mice, frogs, toads and snakes, numerous fish such as bass, bogas and carp, but also trout and eels.

When it snows in the Serra da Estrela and you can see the all-white top of Portela Unhais. In Portela de Unhais, we have a coffee restaurant Por Sol, gas stations, a supermarket, and an ATM
