Holiday rentals with breakfast in Coimbra

Domingo and his wife Olinda are absolutely gems that I will always treasure in my Heart! I had a lot of questions initially before booking and they were kind to answer everything I needed to know! My stay was super peaceful, the little house was cool on a warm summers day and I slept very good in the bed! It was a blessing to receive home grown yummies from the farm (Potatoes, tomato, apples, grapes, herbs...) and I took some walks into the stunning nature behind the house. I would return there in a heartbeat. The only thing I did not check before booking (which turned out to be a good thing) was that theres NO WIFI - this would't bee something for working travelers that rely on good internet. Also I'd only book in the summer as theres only one coal oven in the kitchen but no other heating in bedroom. This stay is ideal with car. I stayed 5 days without car and I was so grateful that Olinda took me with her to farmers market and supermarket so I had enough food for my stay :) Loved it

We had an unforgettable, beautiful break. The view from the bedroom and from the balcony was unsurpassed and the vegetarian dinner was a perfect complement to enjoy the time even more. All in all, it was really a beautiful place, the ruins of the old houses surrounded by the rebuilt ones, the nature and the pure relaxation really impressed us. Only the mountain road was a bit unpleasant to drive, but it was incredibly worth it.

Beautiful, clean house, stylishly decorated. Food for breakfast was in the fridge, with fresh bread a croissants delivered in the morning. Owners recommended us a restaurant nearby for dinner, where there was a great chef - Taberna Dos Sabores. It was a great experience. Only issue was with the Wi-Fi which did not work, but we did not mind.

We had an amazing time here! So wonderful setting and peaceful. All the amenities we could imagine. Exactly what we were looking for when we would stay near Coimbra for one of us to work there and the rest of the family have a great time. We went around and discovered the surroundings and found both good restaurant and shops a short drive away. We bathed in the biological pool and also had fun with tadpoles, lizards and other things you could see. The river at your fingertips was also a lovely place to be at. We picked grapefruits from the trees and eggs from the hens. Helena was an amazing host and thought of us right away when there was a power outage in all of Portugal. We felt safe and cared for. One of the beds is very hard but it was possible to solve ok with some cushions. We would be glad to come back!

lovely, quiet country get-away. We stayed in March, but especially summer would be great for the wonderful swimming pool/area. The fresh, warm rolls for breakfast were fantastic, cold cuts, cheese, juice, milk, trade, instant coffee and lots of fresh fruit provided are a nice touch! the kitchen is basic, but sufficient. wifi is an older version but worked most of the time. the shower water is nice and hot. We checked in early evening and had some needs; the host responded very friendly and quickly. Enjoy your stay!

The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning. It is very large terrace and overlooks the river, the two bridges and the village. It has several trees and it’s just wonderful to have a drink and relax. The house is a vintage house with a vintage decoration. Plenty of light in our bedroom, the bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was good. Breakfast was very tasty. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you Claudia for all you kindness and responsiveness.

Warm welcome from Carla always smiling. Carla has the constant concern to show you good places to enhance your stay. The apartment is impeccably clean and decorated with a multitude of objects, painting statues...I enjoyed very much the proximity to the ocean and its beaches as far as the eye can see. Have a drink while admiring this grandiose show every day,what better way to feel good? I recommend it.

What a great experience to be able to stay here. You feel like the king (or queen). The owners will pamper you and help you with everything. They were ready with a piece of cake for us! The accommodation is also pleasant in terms of space, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Even with use of swimming pool and with breakfast. So couldn't be better!

The apartment was spotless and fully equipped, it was not missing any details! One of the cleanest places I've ever been to. In addition, Lucia we leave variety of fruit, juice, milk, etc. for breakfast. It was a real luxury to stay in his apartment. Thank you so much! We will be back!!!

I recommend Thocamalu's house to everyone who seeks peace, quiet and a cozy place, surrounded by beautiful landscapes. I have nothing but good things to say about this place.

It was really pretty and quiet. The place was located near a small town and I liked it better than Fortune or Lisbon. I felt very warm and friendly. Breakfast is made with your own bread and butter jam. The sheep were enough. I recommend it because the view from the window is beautiful and the atmosphere felt like a well-maintained old house. And the host is so kind and considerate. If you're lucky, you'll even see a cat you own. I can't wait to go again!

Josephina is a very nice host. See was willing to change the initial sleeping arrangements to one that served us best. See prepared a great breakfast for us and I really enjoyed her beautiful pets. I recommend Casa Traca.

This was by far the best AirBnb we‘ve ever stayed in. It‘s an absolute heaven and we would love to come back! The room is spotlessly clean and so cozy with lots of space and privacy. Breakfast is served by the pool and it’s absolutely delicious with juice from oranges farmed in the garden. On the first day, Marie served handmade Pana cotta and Canelés - so good! Marie and Fabrice are great hosts. Helpful, very friendly and always with a smile. We felt right at home. We also fell in love with Maurice and Lulu, the two cats. By car, the beach is 10 minutes away with good restaurants recommended by Fabrice. There are also several grocery stores in this area. But you will need a car! Marie and Fabrice - thank you so much for hosting us. We could feel the hard work and love you guys put into creating this paradise.

We had an excellent stay with Briony and Robyn’s. They were amazing to talk to and gave us lots of history on the place. They welcomed us and made us feel at home. They were extremely accommodating. Breakfast was a real nice touch and a wonderful start to our day! The location was very quiet and peaceful. We would highly recommend this place to everyone
