Churchill Cottage

Frederick and Kelly have a great little rustic cabin right on the lake. Peaceful, quiet (a tiny bit of road noise occasionally, but overall very quiet). Frederick is super helpful and friendly. Cabin was built around 75 years ago (original builder's son left a note in the log book!), so don't expect anything ultramodern.. just a nice unassuming rustic family cabin.

Our Little Lakehouse

FionRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My friends and I had a wonderful time at Frank’s lake house. The photos did not do it justice, it was beautifully renovated and very spacious. The house was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. Frank was fantastic, there was a minor issue with one of the ACs and he came over in under 30 minutes to fix it. The lake was beautiful and quite warm for early June. I would highly recommend staying here for your next trip!

Bluebird - Home by Columbia Lake

KimberlyRating, 5 stars10 months ago
My family and I had a wonderful relaxing vacation at Chris's Bluebird house. It was exactly what we wanted and needed. The house is quite large however, it is amazingly cozy. Our favorite spots were the deck overlooking the pool and the spacious living room with a beautiful floor to ceiling stone fireplace. Even our little kids were impressed. I do also have to mention the pool table and the basketball court were a big hit. The decor was also perfect. We loved the organic yet eclectic casual style. We immediately felt at home. We were so lucky to have the best weather the week we stayed. The kids enjoyed the pool so much. Our youngest member of the family, Liam, learned to swim in Chris's pool. It was so cute to see his cousin's cheering him on. He did so good. It will be a summer they will all remember. Overall it was the perfect family vacation for my family. The hardest part was having to leave. Book this house... you will love it just as much as we did!

Cottage on lake, 10 min to UConn

LucyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
My two daughters and I had a great stay at Gina's place for 2 nights while visiting my mother. Visiting Mom is increasingly more difficult as her Alzheimer's has progressed, so having a comfortable place to stay is critical. The girls and I were able to retreat to the little cottage to rest and relax. It was very comfortable, well-appointed, and the proximity to the lake made for lovely walks . Gina communicated with us frequently and was very friendly. We will definitely be back!

Coventry Lake Getaway w/ Yard: Near UConn!

MelissaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Place looks just as shown in pictures. There’s a beautiful lake walking distance away. The night before and morning of my checkout date, there was a snowstorm. The host was communicative and was very helpful to make sure I got out ok, which I appreciated. Overall it was a good stay.

West Hill Outpost

JamesRating, 5 stars1 day ago
I had a fantastic stay at the West Hill Outpost while visiting my cousin in New Hartford. The cabin was spotless, well-designed, and very cozy, with everything needed for one or two guests: a full kitchen with a fridge, a comfy Murphy bed/couch, a ceiling fan, fast WiFi, a TV, radio, strong air conditioning, a wood stove, and a private, fenced-in patio with a fire pit. Verizon cell coverage was around 2 bars for me. I spent one morning mountain biking in Nepaug State Forest and another morning walking down to West Hill Lake, a 5-minute stroll through Brodie Park. Brodie Park also features some hiking trails. The lake was stunning, with crystal-clear waters and picturesque surroundings. From the outpost, it was a short car ride to New Hartford, and a 15 to 25-minute drive to Avon, Litchfield, Torrington, Winsted, or Norfolk. Mike and Erin were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the peaceful, quiet location made it the perfect retreat. I'll be returning and really recommend this spot.

Little Rest Studio

My wife and I had a lovely time staying for the weekend. Walking through the working barn up to the beautiful loft area was a really fun experience. We loved the view from the back deck and the bathroom was really amazing. They have done an amazing job with this place and I highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area!
