Siendo fanáticos de la naturaleza y el deporte, ya sea senderismo, ciclismo, parapente, golf, surf, Kite o windsurf, no sabíamos muy bien donde asentarnos, si junto al océano Atlántico o por el contrario próximos a la corona forestal en las faldas del Teide. En nuestra búsqueda nos topamos con San Miguel, un pequeño pueblo con mucho encanto, lejos del bullicio, pero con todos los servicios al alcance de la mano. Cute cottage at the quiet El Palmar's rural valley, just placed at the beginning of many paths to hike and enjoy nature. Near black sand beaches and historic villages at "Isla Baja", the secret of Tenerife. Two companies placed near the cottage offer you awesome outdoor activities (elcardon and tenoactivo). Many restaurants close to the house where you can taste local gastronomy. A grocery allows you to buy all you need, and local farmers offer you a nice organic veggies box (each Wed & Sat)

We were very doubtful about where to establish our residence, if by the Atlantic swells or rather by the coniferous forest on the skirts of Teide. Being fanatics of nature and sports, no matter if it's trekking, cycling, paragliding, golf or windsurfing we decided we would rather stick to the middle road, and in our search we bumped into San Miguel, a charming small town, away from the hustle and off the beaten track, still all amenities a short walk away. We surely found the perfect balance.
