Family-friendly holiday rentals in County Londonderry

This was a last minute few days away, and what a find, so peaceful, I loved the garden, could just potter about in it all day, huge fish pond so relaxing . Little slice of heaven. We have 2 pugs one very very anxious, Nicola was so understanding. Hot tub was a wonderful bonus. Definitely recommend this place, in such a lovely area and walking distance to the beach .

Hugh's house was stunning I really enjoyed my stay here would love to come back again. The place was so clean and the kitchen is beautiful, he had everything in that you would need. The outdoor area was private and quiet, it was a blessing to sit outside and have a coffee in the morning. I messaged him questions about the hot tub and he was very responsive and easy to follow with his instructions. A brilliant house and location, Thanks Hugh!

Booked this house for a wee treat getaway for my mother who just went through cancer treatment with a bunch of girls & we had the best time from start to finish. The place was beautiful very spacious, had everything we needed & we really enjoyed the hottub. The host was so helpful & answered any questions i had within seconds. Would definitely recommend this place

Orla's property was a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of busy life. A beautiful wee gem in nature, log cabin exactly as pictured, clean with all facilities to enjoy your stay. Orla was very responsive to any questions asked. We are glad we got the added extra of the hot tub, which was lovely to relax and take in the stunning views of the sun setting. We fell in love with their beautiful dogs Marti and Gerry it was lovely to get a wee visit, they were very friendly. We would definitely recommend their accommodation for an escape. We hope to visit again in the future. Thank you 😊

The place really worth the money. Nice surroundings, half an hour to the beach. Jacuzzi is a bonus! The host very nice and helpful. Really would recommended this place.10 out of 10😊

Absolutely beautiful surroundings and a beautiful house. The smell as soon as you enter is lovely, just like a sauna with all the cedar wood. The view is beautiful, and the hot tub was super. The house is close to all the activities, a 5 min drive to everything. Thanks Pearl for a lovely stay!

Everything was perfect, nice jacuzzi, very spacious house, everything what you need to stay included (pans, pots, cups..), very clean inside. One thing what wasn’t perfect was smell from cows farm which is very close to house (not whole day, just from time to time), if somebody don’t have a problem with that and like “country side vibes) I’ll say its 10/10 👍

Myself and my husband had a lovely stay. Just what we needed to relax. Beautifully clean pod, with fresh milk, cereal etc for the next morning. We would highly recommend and will most definitely be back.

Lorna is a fantastic host, very responsive, with great attention to detail. The house is beautiful, ideally located within walking distance of Portrush and Portstewart and includes all the necessary components to instantly make you feel right at home. This was our first trip away with our 6 month old and Lorna’s house and hosting was major factor in us having a wonderful time. We can’t wait to return.

Lovely house near Portstewart. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable living space. Two full bathrooms so ideal for our party of three couples. Spacious terrace accessed from main living area with open views over golf course towards the coast. Works better with a car as about 1.5 mile walk in to Portstewart centre. Recommended!

We had a great time here. It's just a short walk into Portrush centre and to the beach. The apartment was quiet despite being so handily placed.

Cosy, warm, bright, airy and exceptionally clean. Very well equipped throughout, particularly the kitchen. The cottage is a great place to experience the Rosguill peninsula regardless of the changeable Donegal weather. In particular, the sunroom has beautiful views across Sheephaven bay. It was a perfect place for our two dogs. Close to beaches & an ideal location for an superb stay in the Downings area.

We loved John’s so much last year, we found a 5 night slot for June we reserved in November, and flew across the ocean to savor it. John is great, and we loved talking to him about his animals and helping to feed the lambs, who were much friendlier this year than last! John’s land is beyond words, very therapeutic in these troubled times. Accessing internet at Malin Head made communicating with family across an ocean quite seamless. This year, in contrast to last, we did regular exploring in Donegal ~~ Glenevin Falls, Gap of Mamore, Famine Village, Carrickabraghy Castle, Nancy’s Barn in Ballyliffin ( award inning chowder and more), Five Fingers Strand etc. ~~ so much to explore, and plenty further afield. Don’t book if you need state of art appliances and bathrooms, but John’s thatched roof little cottage is charming, fine for meal prep, and a perfect base for exploring beautiful Donegal. John, his animals and his land are memorable, a one of a kind delight.

Maggie really is the perfect host. Her beautiful house is spotless top to bottom. Easy to find and so peaceful and quiet. She met us there and gave us a quick tour and showed us how everything worked. A charming lady with great knowledge about the local area. Had a relaxing 3 night break just after Xmas to recharge the batteries in lovely surroundings. Fab conservatory to chill out in and watch the world go by. We can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend for a quiet break in an excellent house with the perfect host. Thank you Maggie. See you soon.

Jill and Alistair could not have been better hosts. From initial booking inquiry through checkout, they were incredibly helpful, responsive, friendly, and went the extra mile without any prompt. Directions to the stay were crystal clear, the property is immaculate, beautiful, private, and well located for the exploration of Finad and all of Donegal. Rathmullan is a wonderful town, and I can not recommend enough a stay with Jill, and Alistair, and especially their wonderful dogs. Alistair was extra helpful in navigating the area, providing recommendations, asking for feedback, and saving a few strokes up at Portsalon Golf Club. If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay well within reach of some of Ireland's most beautiful drives, landmarks, and scenery, this is the place to be. We have travelled quite a bit over the last few years, and this stay was the best we have experienced due to not only location, but the hospitality of Jill and Alistair. A review of 5 stars is too few.

What a fantastic find. David’s place met our expectations and beyond. The finishing touches in the decor, furnishings and kitchen/bathroom additions was second to none. Great location for local amenities and as a base for exploring beyond. David is a super friendly and responsive host offering a vast array of information on both the house and local areas. 100% recommend and we hope to visit again soon. Thanks David x

What a pretty little slice of heaven - the true Irish experience. I’ll never get over the views out the front door as I did my work from the dining room table each day. Maura deserves an extra special shout-out (and hug). I ran into a small snafu my first night in town and she sat with me in the dining room and helped me make some calls until my issue was resolved. In my opinion, that goes way above and beyond the expectations of an Airbnb host. Whether she was around the property or not, she was always responsive. The cottage itself was a dream and within easy driving distance to Malin Head, Giants Causeway, etc. Triple five stars!

This cottage is really sweet and comfy. It is literally only a few steps to the rocky, wild romantic beach. We had great sunsets that we could watch from the warmth of the livingroom. You can walk to Ballycastle in 20 minutes. It's a very special space in every way and we appreciated it very much.

Raymie responded quickly to any of my questions prior to our stay. We were grateful for a flexible check in within reason. There was even some continental breakfast items which was nice to have available to us. A peaceful and private place for the 2 of us to enjoy. Thank you.

We absolutely loved our stay here - it was peaceful, calm and well provided. The view is pleasant and it was such a novelty for us to see sheep grazing just next door. It was a shame we only stayed one night!

We had a great stay at Helen’s accommodation, my 3 girls and me had plenty of room in the home with a large enough garden to play outside whilst I got ready for our daily adventures. Loads of places to go for nice walks all within very short distance and the large city of Derry was only 40 minutes away for the spectacular Halloween event. My kids loved staying at this warm and cosy home, they slept well and just loved the idea that it was so quiet and peaceful. Definitely will stay here again. Gillian provided the perfect cottage for our holiday, we cannot fault the property! It absolutely felt like a home away from home! we will definately be back next time we visit this part of the world. We absolutely loved our stay at The Loft. Perfect location to attend a wedding nearby. The loft was absolutely spotless and had such comfortable furnishings and sheets etc. We were delighted to have access to Netflix on the TV, as we were planning a quiet night in👌🏼 The surrounding area and Sarah’s property is absolutely beautiful and a great base to explore the country side and coast of surrounding areas
