Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Cowlitz County

Felt so blessed to find Linda's place on such short notice. She has taken the time to put a lot of thought and consideration into her home to make it welcoming and comfortable. The location is absolutely beautiful, with lots of bunnies and birds around to entertain you. The two patios were both covered to protect from the rain and though we did not use the hot tub, one is available. The novelty item was a tape cassette player mounted in the wall above the microwave, with several oldies tape cassettes in a case to choose from. Thanks so much, Linda, for a wonderful week. Would stay again if the opportunity arises.

Spacious, beautiful, and peaceful! This was a very well-appointed home that accommodated six comfortably and allowed us to organize our gear and cook real meals. I only wish we could have stayed longer to play frisbee or croquet on the grass and eaten some meals outside in the gorgeous green surroundings. Would return in a heartbeat!

Tim is super friendly and helpful in the extreme. There was nothing missing and they went above and beyond to make our stay the best possible for enjoying our family for which we were grateful. It is a basement apartment space with the owners living above so perhaps be aware of that. There are large windows with a great view so it doesn’t feel much like a basement. We only point it out so future tenants aren’t surprised like we were. The hosts are wonderful and if you prefer a hosted place you should seriously consider this one.

The house was so comfortable and well furnished. Lots of seating and extra blankets to get cozy on the couches and watch movies. Loved the beds, bedding and pillows. Good water pressure and very clean throughout. We saw deer in the yard and enjoyed our adventure down to the lake.

Great stay with great host. After climbing up to the second floor, this is a cozy and private space. We did notice the sound of trains passing by, but it didn’t really affect our sleep. Tonya was very prompt and helpful in responding to any questions. This was a great stopover option on our way to Seattle and will continue to be.

My Dad and I really enjoyed our stay at Jim’s place! It is well appointed and we really like how it’s decorated. It has an amazing view overlooking the river! We have family in the area and we travel out there often. We would love to stay here again!

We loved this place and would definitely come back! The house and surrounding property matched the pictures. The amenities supplies were many. For example, various teas, coffee, and snacks for hiking and toiletries. I especially appreciated the kitchen as the cookware was of good quality and not the cheap stuff that is usually provided. The bedrooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the decor was welcoming. The outdoor area had many spaces to unwind. For instance, the river was accessible from the back yard and a fire pit area was located near the back deck. We enjoyed a few nights on the back deck wrapped in a blanket drinking hot tea in the comfortable rockers. We originally came up to Washington to visit family in Longview, and I was not familiar with the town of Kalama. It is a wonderful little town with both welcoming people and fun sites to see. I will be coming here to visit again next year, if this home is available i would definitely rent again.

this is a nice apartment, in a quiet neighborhood. I look forward to staying here anytime I'm in town.

Melissa and Dan were great host. We were very glad to see Coffee and fixings were on hand, as well as a few spices. The kitchen is well equipped. The washer and dryer are a bonus. The property is beautiful. We saw a deer one morning too.

Great place to stay! The bed was super comfy, and the area is perfect for anyone in recovery as they have a place to hit meetings really close! 10-10

Great location if you are looking for a peaceful and quiet time. less than a block away from a gorgeous park for running/walking. Beautiful neighborhood. Place was very clean and tidy. Everything we needed was there. The high celling gives the feeling of a much bigger place. Super comfortable large studio. Jon was a fantastic host, flexible and very responsive. He was on site, so he popped in to help me operate the fireplace. Very friendly and accommodating. My wife and I loved the place.

nice place, don't expect to be in longview again (not anytime soon anyway), but if I am I'll be staying here.

Dustin was very responsive, and his place had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. My kids 4 and 6 loved the woodwork displays, and we all enjoyed the massage chair. So glad we found this spot - already planning our next visit!

The views from this place are much more beautiful than expected. The river was absolutely gorgeous. Bonus we saw a beautiful doe walking just below the house along the riverfront. We enjoyed our morning coffee watching the massive views of the river. We even saw the USS Jack H. Lucas sail by on its way home from fleet week. 💙. Go Navy!! We would definitely stay again.

I loved my stay for two weeks there. Both Julie and her husband were very nice and accommodating. If I’m ever back in Washington for work again I’ll be sure to see if they have anything available first. You have a lovely place and thank you for everything! Connie

Charlie is a great host who is always responsive and ready to answer questions. His place is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed seeing deer and birds in the yard. The hot tub is very clean and easy to get to. This is one of the nicest airbnbs we’ve stayed at!

She was very kind and responsive. Everything looks brand new. Getting down the stairs was hard with kids. Parking on the street was hard with kids. Had to do street parking. Cleaning people were so kind! Small but works. The propane grill was nice!

My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. I was in the area for work and I am seriously considering returning with the family. It's a beautiful area and everything about the stay was perfect.

Judy was a phenomenal host for this incredibly beautiful Airbnb. She was beyond helpful and kind. Can’t recommend this place enough. I’ll definitely be back!
