Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Cowlitz River

Spacious, beautiful, and peaceful! This was a very well-appointed home that accommodated six comfortably and allowed us to organize our gear and cook real meals. I only wish we could have stayed longer to play frisbee or croquet on the grass and eaten some meals outside in the gorgeous green surroundings. Would return in a heartbeat!

Special place to stay. Idyllic views. Right on the river. Hot tub, swimming, Kayaks, sauna, grill, outdoor space to hang out. All spectacular. Well stocked kitchen. The only two complaints we had were that something may have been up with the gas stove (wouldn't get hot enough to boil water even when on high for upwards of an hour). Second, the listing had two rooms with king beds, and in reality there was only one room with a king. Overall, I would stay here again. Probably the nicest Airbnb I've ever had. Great place for families.

We absolutely loved this cabin in the woods - it was magnificent! It was so private - exactly what our family of 4 needed as we vacationed from our busy lives. And the hike to Duncan Falls was incredible. What an enchanting area! We will plan to visit this property again because we were so taken with the unique architecture, private space, and beautiful scenery! A true gem in the Columbia Gorge!

This home was so peaceful and welcoming!. The sound from the waterfalls was just magical! The pictures did not do it justice. The kitchen was stocked with great cookware and sharp knives. Hard to find that at most bnb’s. Every one of us said multiple times that this was the best place we have ever stayed. We will definitely be back. Thank you for being a great host, Foster!

Wonderful stay!! loved the bed and the shower the most! everything was cute, peaceful, and lots of thought into what a first timer in Portland would need.

The cabin was just what we wanted. Beautifully surrounded by the forest with gorgeous views of the river and plenty to explore. We enjoyed the easy fireplace, walked in the river just steps away, and hiked the multiple water falls just down the road. Kitchen had everything we needed for specially planned meals and the place was comfy in each room.

Hosts were very organized and wonderful communicators. Easy check-in / check-out process and overall great for our girls weekend away. The Troutdale home is well located — any easy drive to the airport and lots of good hiking. Few maintenance issues and outdoor area could use a little TLC, but really a beautiful spot and the hot tub was a delight. We had a private chef come to the house and it was a really good layout for it. Downtown Troutdale is super cute too.

The view here is gorgeous and the decor inside is beautiful. This place is probably best for 2 couples with kids. We were 10 adults so it was a bit tight. The bunk room was adorable for kids but the top bunk was not as functional for an adult. We brought a cot so 2 people could still sleep in there. The kitchen is very well appointed. We loved our time here!

Nice property right by the River. Comfortable stay and a good value. Beds were comfortable. The hosts set up a fire in the fire pit for us which was a nice bonus. They were also flexible on check out time.

Just a short mile from town, nice view out front sliding door of the river. Clean space, Christine and Martin were very friendly and have lots of knowledge about Columbia the Gorge.area.

This is my favorite air bnb I’ve ever stayed out. The location was great, the space was so beautiful and so affordable. Jim was amazing so friendly and helpful with recommendations. He didn’t make us do any of the cleaning, had seltzer waters and coffee for us on top of everything else, and was just so lovely and pleasant. Thanks so much Jim! Your home is so wonderful.

The Quiet Place was great, it was centrally located to what we needed to do. Dee Dee was very responsive to messages, I would definitely stay again. Also, being in a basement, there was not much noise from up top, nothing out of the ordinary foot steps. Great place!

Great stay! Lovely place and neighborhood full of flowers and very walkable and accessible by public transportation. Scott was super helpful and accommodating with check-in when I arrived early. Would love to come back.

Reading the reviews and then visiting Maddie's beautiful cabin, I can see why people have come here multiple times. we came for a family vacation and to see a show at the amphitheater in Ridgeland. we drove 12 hours from Salt Lake City and it was so incredibly worth it. The pictures looked beautiful, but they didn't do this place justice. The surroundings are absolutely stunning, and so much more incredibly than the pictures can show. The cabins are well stocked, the beds comfy, and amenities like the pizza oven, fire pit, hammocks and seating areas scattered around made our stay perfect. We will be back. ❤️

I hesitate to reveal how great Carl's place is because I don't want it to become so popular that it becomes hard for me to book. The setting is spectacular. If you like to cook, the kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans everything you need. There are also basic staples that renters can use. If you don't like to cook, a lakeside restaurant is a short walk from Carl's. The restaurant is currently open Wed- Sun. We went on a couple of short hikes that were close by. Millersylvania Park is about a 15 min. drive. We also enjoyed seeing the Monarch Butterfly Sculpture Garden. Lots of outdoor art and a fun area for kids (or adults) to play in. I had some questions for Carl and he always responded quickly and clearly. Carl and Sue make available everything that the renter might forget to bring: Toothbrushes, Q-tips, shampoo, etc. Did I mention the jar of chocolates? We are not fishing enthusiasts, but it looks like that could be fun. Carl also has kayaks & life vests.

The definition of cozy cottage in the woods. Loved every minute! Felt like stepping back in time, played a movie on the VCR and songs on cassette. Didn’t want to leave!

If you’re looking for a cozy place where you could feel comfortable lounging all day, but also have the beautiful Mt. Rainier nearby, this is the place for you. I’ve never stayed at an Airbnb that felt like a home. The hosts did a great job balancing clean and organized, but cozy and personalized. You can tell a lot of love went into decorating. All the furniture was comfortable as well. Renai communicated throughout our stay and even checked in before going backpacking. I look forward to staying here again.

This place was amazing for our stay. Taimoor was more than accommodating and communicated and answered all of my questions when asked. This place will be awesome if you want a get away from the city life!! Thank you Taimoor for the accommodations!

We enjoyed our stay and the surroundings(minus the house next door)are lovely! Great trees and so quiet! We are older, and so going down steep stairs to use the bathroom wasn’t ideal for us, but so many things to love about this place as well. We appreciated the comfy robes, the bed was really comfortable, being able to open the bedroom window was great! There was a boil water advisory going on during our stay and so some restaurants like BaseCamp were closed. We did find a great place for breakfast at Copper Creek Inn just down the street. The grocery shopping at the Ashford General store was not great, but plenty of food options inside the park! Mt. Rainer did not disappoint and this was the perfect place to stay for our trip!

Great place with everything you need. Town has all amenities you would need. Beds were comfortable- not the most toddler friendly place (although most places aren’t built for that anyhow). Only issue was intermittent power outages which are expected in isolated mountain towns- not the hosts fault but when you buy food to cook and plan to sit in hot tub, it makes a difference. Next time will come more prepared to use bbq instead. Overall, would recommend
