An Tigín

What a delightful place in a beautiful rural setting - complete with amorous ginger cat plus two donkeys. This is a beautifully restored ‘dog house’ which is now very tasteful and lovely accommodation. It has a beautiful tiled bathroom with washing machine in adjacent alcove. The kitchen is great - full oven, hob, microwave, and little dishwasher. There is a good supply of crockery, glassware and cutlery. We really appreciated the flowers on the dining table 💐 and the homemade biscuits 🍪 It’s possible to park directly outside (which is great for luggage) and there is an outdoor table and chairs outside the sitting room. We only stayed one night - wished it had been longer 🙁 Suggest shopping for food at Waterford or bigger town (particularly if arriving later in the day) as Mooncoin only has a Centra which we found expensive and a limited range of goods. We really liked the thoughtful non-perfumed eco products, decent plumbing, nice linen, and toiletries. Thank you 👏🏼

The old barn

CarlaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at The Old Barn. It is set in such a tranquil and peaceful setting that we could just switch off and relax as soon as we got there. We found it was in a good location for many of the scenic spots in the region. The accommodation itself was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. Walter was also very accommodating and came and introduced himself to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We felt comfortable and could easily of stayed longer. We also enjoyed watching the local wildlife and of course the very friendly cows were a delight to see every morning. We will definitely look to return at some point.

Katie's Cottage Retreat

JoanneRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Katie's Cottage is amazing!! Location is perfect for a tranquil get away..The mountain views all around are simply stunning and the well cared for garden is large and has a beautiful patio area looking over at the Comeragh Mountains! The Cottage itself is beautifully decorated, is pristine inside and has everything you could possibly need. I love the high ceilings throughout! The main bedroom is large, bright and very comfortable with ensuite. The 2nd bedroom is cosy which also has a desk area set up if you need to work remotely. Main bathroom is stunning, beautiful tiles and a wonderful power shower over a bath...loved it!! Open Kitchen/ living area was bright and very spacious with double doors that open out to the patio, for those wonderful views of the mountains.. It is the perfect, peaceful, get away from it all and I look forward to spending time at Katie's Cottage again soon. David is a fantastic host who makes sure his guests have all they could need during their stay...
