Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Danbury

A gem of a home if you’re looking for a waterfront property with great lake access. David’s home is well stocked with everything you need - from baking to cooking , from laundry to great choices of board games , a nice library if reading by the water is what you care to do . If you’re a bass fisherman like me , you have direct access to Squantz Pond, which can be a great fishing alternative to nearby Candlewood Lake. The property is close to the main road and traffic can be a nuisance to folks who are not used to it . City folks like me don’t mind it. David was a great host , very responsive . There was a slight miscommunication during check in , but that was taken care of right away . My family hopes to come back again . BTW, for those who don’t know how to play the piano , take some brief lessons before coming and impress your folks. Joe

This beautiful property has a special place in our hearts. We stayed in the A frame during COVID and we always wanted to come back. This time we stayed in the main house and it was phenomenal. Wish the weather was better for us to use the pool, but next time! It well worth the price. Only an hr from the city and it feels like a full vacation. Wonderful way to lose time time for a few days. We will be back!

We had a great time at the Zen Cottage! It was an amazing getaway with beautiful scenery all around! Alma and James were very responsive and helpful with recommendations around the town. The house was clean and we had everything we needed. We can't wait to be back!

No notes, incredible escape even in the pouring rain. The ambience, even down to the little things like walking through the door to classical music, was truly top notch.

My family had a great stay at Amanda's place. It was the perfect vacation spot - we really enjoyed the panorama view! Everything was just as described and we felt right at home.

Edina and Glen's house was beautiful, spacious, and pristine. It was the perfect setting for a "girls weekend". The grounds were stunning, and made for a great setting. Very close to town, shopping, and wonderful restaurants. We really appreciated that our hosts were very proactive in reaching out and making all instructions clear. Lovely home and communicative hosts! The house was very clean and comfortable as well as the back deck and yard. Felt very comfortable and very close to beach (though ended up being a rainy weekend so we didn’t get to go to beach). Close to Dockside Brewery which had great views and tons of tables and a few little stores within walking distance for convenience items

It was clear that the host put thought into making guests feel welcome—there was a mini chocolate bar and a bottle of water waiting for each of us when we arrived, which was such a kind touch after a long day of travel. Check-in was smooth, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked perfectly. While we didn’t spend much time there beyond resting, it was the perfect place to recharge. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and cozy spot!

We had a great time at The Ridge House! The property was gorgeous, and the creek is even more stunning in person. The apartment was clean, fresh, and felt very cozy. The kitchen was well stocked to make a meal. Instructions were clear and we had no logistical issues. Thanks for great stay!

Very quaint little spot! Located in a very quiet, serene area. We absolutely loved the yard and the trails behind the house, my dog felt right at home! Renee was very responsive when needed but otherwise felt we had plenty of privacy despite being on the same property. Space was clean and charming and everything we needed for a quick wedding weekend! Would definitely recommend for a relaxing quiet weekend!

We booked this place to be close the the festival downtown and it was. 1.3 miles or 25 minutes walk. Perfect for us. The Airbnb was clean and spacious. Shower is a little small but ok. King bed is very comfortable. Yummy welcome treats on the table was a nice touch. Keurig pods and maker available for your pleasure. Well lit and very secure. Felt safe at all times. Great place to book if you need to stay in this area.

Dan & Jill’s home was beyond beautiful and comfy. It was very easy to find, private and felt safe. The inside of the home was more spacious than expected and extremely clean. The panoramic views from all windows was truly a treat. The hosts were very thoughtful and sweet. If you forgot to pack something, they most likely had it. Check in was smooth, stores/supermarket was a 3 min drive. 0 complaints and cannot wait to stay again!

I chose Marlene’s lovely spot primarily because it was in a location convenient for short trips to visit family and friends in Wallingford, Middlebury and Middletown while on my way south from New Hampshire. The peaceful, quiet surroundings along with a spotless, well-appointed accommodation made it very appealing: highly recommended.

The Modena House was perfect for our trip. We wished we had the chance to enjoy the outdoor aspect a little more, however time and weather didn’t cooperate with us. The place is adorable, a great kitchen, nicely decorated sitting room, bathroom and bedroom made for a lovely stay. The hosts are top notch! We hope to stay again in the future if we are in the area. The house is very cozy and beautiful and very close to the downtown where there are a plenty of good coffee shops and places to eat. The host was extremely responsive and accommodating. They treated us to free coffee at their nearly Korean coffee place. I highly recommend

While this is my first time using Airbnb and also first time staying at the Catskills, my family enjoyed our stay at Emily’s cabin; it was peaceful, cozy and quieter; the place is stocked with all the basic things that makes life comfortable; my wife and the kids loved it and that makes me happy! We will be back!

Had a great time! Was perfect for a few days away with my husband and dogs. Everything was clean and as described (it's even better than the photos!) and the area was a lot of fun to explore. There are tons of hikes and other outdoorsy things nearby and Woodstock is a quick 20 minute drive, so the location gives you get the best of both worlds.

Incredible air bnb experience. Hosts were extremely hospitable (along with their adorable pups)! Place was cozy, remote, clean, and decorated beautifully. Will definitely be staying here again. They also responded to each question within minutes and even reached out to us when we forgot a couple of things and offered to ship it to us if we weren’t in the area. 10/10 hosts and beyond!

I know the area super well so have a good perspective on location and quality of available accommodation etc. Mark and Lori’s place was standout on all dimensions. Close to both Woodstock and Saugerties which is great for dining and social options. Location is safe, pretty, peaceful and convenient. The house itself is immaculate and charming with a lot of nice character touches. It’s well appointed, and even if you choose to dine in, they have supplied all that one could need. A special place and if I need accommodation again I would book in a heartbeat.

The cabin was great! Just what our group needed. Very clean and in a nice private location.

Our second time staying at Maitopia with our cat, just as wonderful in a different warmer season. Tina was super responsive as usual and even accommodated a late checkout. We enjoyed feasting in the kitchen as well as grilling in the yard, floating around in the pool when it was warm enough out, "hiking" with our cat on a leash around the forest on the property, taking baths, streaming music. We didn't leave the property much, but it was a fun highlight to get a few local produce items at nearby Greig farm and meet the adorable goats. One tip- bring an eyemask if you're sensitive to light in the mornings- there aren't any window shades in the bedroom.
