House holiday rentals in De Fryske Marren

We were there in June, four of us – despite the rain and colder temperatures, we were able to enjoy our stay thanks to the sauna and the heated pool, which was our highlight! We were very warmly welcomed, the accommodation is really great – we can only recommend it and will definitely come back. The adjacent forest is great for walking and Groningen and Leeuwarden are each just under 30 minutes away by car.

We had a very nice stay as a family in the very spacious house. The large living room was particularly nice, the kitchen offers everything you need. Jaap was very helpful, gave us tips and was very flexible with a late check-out. The area is wonderfully quiet and idyllic.

We enjoyed the time very much and did many small bike rides. The accommodation is beautiful, quiet and very idyllically located. However, we would not stay in the property again with 5 adults. The loft bed is more suitable for children and unfortunately we were not able to sleep so well, as there was no air coming up under the roof at night (despite the open window) and it became very warm and stuffy. With children, you can definitely recommend the accommodation! :)

We had two beautiful days at the house. It is quiet. There are also two supermarkets in the village. There is a lot to do in the region. But the house also invites you to linger. Both saunas were really great. We'll be sure to recommend

The location and the house certainly contributed to the beautiful memories we made during our annual getaway with sisters, mother, brother and aunt!

Spectacular, I loved it, everything was very nice, super tidy, and the place is a delight. I recommend it. If I go on another trip, I would definitely stay here and for more days. It makes you want to stay longer

We had a great time in this beautiful cottage in the countryside. The welcome was very warm, the cottage was clean and very characterful. We completely relaxed and the jacuzzi was great. We expected the pool to be open, but in the end we had a great time swimming in the Canada lake and with long walks. Highly recommended for anyone looking for beautiful nature and tranquility.

We spent two relaxing days and nights as a family in the cute cottage in Terhakle. The cottage is even prettier in reality than in the photos, the beds are very comfortable, everything was very tidy and clean and we lacked nothing. The environment is very quiet, pure nature! From here you can reach many pretty Frisian towns like Sneek in a few minutes by car. We will definitely come back!!!

We had a fantastic 3-night stay, the house was very comfortable, spacious, well equipped and the surroundings were just amazing and quiet. Beds were very comfortable and everything felt clean. A great plus to have 2 toilets with a group of 8. Our kids enjoyed the place too and especially the space to run around the house and in the high grass. The lake was not even 1min away and one can access with a boat, swim from there (ladder) or just enjoy the sunset. Finally the village, with 2 restaurants, very tasty eel/fish seller and a a grocery store, was very cute and at a walking distance. Plenty to explore around!

We were personally welcomed by our nice hostess Anke and we enjoyed our stay very much. The great big kitchen , the beautiful outdoor area and the many different rooms were perfect for our large group. The location is great, right on the canal and everything is within walking distance. Thank you so much, we will be happy to come back.

We had a wonderful time with our big family in this beautiful house. We were able to use the large dining tables inside and on the terrace for cozy, shared dining, there is a great playroom for the kids, a relaxed sitting area for a game night and a spacious kitchen. It's also great that each bedroom has its own bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our stay in the beautiful vacation home was great! It had everything you need. Patricia responded quickly to messages. Thanks also for the flexible check-in and check-out :) It would have been good to know beforehand that two large towels were missing, then we would have brought some ourselves. Otherwise, everything is great and highly recommended!

This is a great place to get away for a weekend. Everything in Woudsend is within walking distance (supermarket, restaurants, harbor, bus stop, etc.) and the area is beautiful. The garden is just as beautiful as in the pictures! The bedstee certainly adds something, but perhaps a tip: the doors of the bedstee have windows. So if you can't stand light when you sleep, consider bringing a sleep mask. We enjoyed our weekend tremendously and would love to come back.

Our stay at this property was simply fantastic! The apartment was spotlessly clean, stylishly furnished and offered all the amenities we could wish for. The location was ideal – quiet yet central. Particularly noteworthy is the host's hospitality. He/she was always available, helpful and gave us valuable tips for our stay. Communication was smooth and uncomplicated. Especially in summer, access to the water is great. We felt at home from the first moment and would come back anytime. This accommodation is a real gem on Airbnb!

Very satisfied with accommodation, spacious, great kitchen. Lovely location, on the small canals. Enough room, with comfortable beds. We felt at home. Opposite is very quiet, from there you can do a lot. Gladly again.

A very nice house in a very nice location / environment. The cozy living room and kitchen are particularly noteworthy. Cooking is twice as much fun on a stove like this! Otherwise: House and location are very inviting, we felt well taken care of!

The house and the town are both beautiful. The house is cozy and very well maintained. A crate of outdoor toys, all of which is fresh and whole. A fantastic foosball and Donald Ducks on the kids bedroom. The kitchen is nice and complete, BBQ in the garden, great WiFi. And you can watch the rumbling in the harbor from the house, if you are not working on a boat yourself. Bauke and Claudia are friendly and helpful if you have questions.

All around it was a great stay for everyone. We will remember the place.

We had a very nice stay at Jos. We were on the road with our 3-month-old son. It was nice that our son had his own bedroom and a bed ready for him. In addition, everything is easy to walk to from the apartment, and you are back in no time when needed. We sat outside in the nice weather, a nice quiet place in the center of Sneek!

We stayed three weeks at this great place. We immediately felt at home. Our two children aged 1 and 4 discovered many great play opportunities and were always able to keep themselves busy with something exciting. The house is very personal and well equipped. A cozy bed, plenty of towels, parking, a huge play garage, etc. were provided. Bert also quickly made us feel at home. It was all around great. The location and location are also perfect for a relaxing family vacation.

We have already enjoyed this great place twice and we will definitely come back. What a calm and space!
