Family-friendly holiday rentals in Del Monte Forest

The house was perfect for our family. The private fenced backyard, hot tub and dining areas made the space twice the size. That big beautiful maple was a treat to sit under and enjoy all the birds flying overhead to the lagoon nearby. The location is epic! We loved walking to twin lakes and blacks beaches with the dog. Early mornings with low tide gave us plenty of beach to run around on. The farmers market on Sunday is also just a walk away. Highly recommend !

You will not regret staying here. Debra and David were so incredibly nice. The house and the outdoors/garden are beautiful. We loved the hot tub being off the master suite and the fact there are no neighbors so it’s incredibly quiet. It’s in a great location near both downtown and the fairgrounds. We can’t wait to return. We might need to add more nights because we had such a fantastic time. Thanks Debra. So great to meet you and David!!

What a GEM this house is!!! You will not be disappointed staying at Shari's home! From the great communication & responsive host ... to the welcoming cookies... to the private adorable backyard and extensive amenities ... it has it ALL! Great location all around and just a short walk to the beach too! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful place, and a nice quiet neighborhood right next to the beach, and the E- bikes are hella fun, would come back.

We had a lovely visit in Santa Cruz. We were in town for an event at UCSC and this place worked great for our needs. Erin was lovely and the Airbnb was cute and as described.

Joyce’s place was clean and had a really great location. We thought we were right on the Cliff so that was kind of a bummer to have a house in front of our ocean view. But the place was really nice, and very clean! The space was really cool and had great decoration. Beds were comfortable. Kids were happy. We loved playing in the hot tub and in the garden in the backyard.

This property is just like being at home....It is clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Julia is a wonderful host that goes up and beyond to make your stay as wonderful as possible. We truly enjoyed every minute of our visit, and for the first time in a long time, renting houses for our vacations...We just didn't want to leave! We look forward to getting back to Julia's!

Sean's cottage is an absolute delight, we moved in as though it was our own home. Worth reading previous reviews mentioning building works next door. As we were prepared for this (they started 8am promptly Mon-Fri), also ants (which didn't show up) and the racoon in the bins (which did show up) none of this was an issue, and was reflected in the reduced rental. Sean was an excellent host, replied speedily to any queries, including calling a plumber for a minor problem. The cottage is the most homely of places, there's everything you could need, the kitchen is generously equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The pretty patio is full of flowers and birds. Since it was April, we were not outside in the evenings, but it seems noise is an issue with neighbours. There are polite but firm notices requesting no outside noise after 9pm which could be difficult on hot summer evenings. This was one of our favourite Airbnbs, the location is fabulous, so much to do, we were busy all the time

We came to Monterey for a wedding and were lucky to stay in this beautiful house for an extended weekend. It’s the cleanest and best-stocked Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. The kitchen is huge and has every gadget or accessory you might need—and it’s stocked with thoughtful extras like popcorn, s'mores supplies and coffee. The 4th bedroom is a little unique, but it worked perfectly for our group. It’s downstairs and isn’t accessible from inside the main house. You reach it by going down the steep driveway and a few stairs. It’s easy to find once you know it’s there, but challenging for someone with mobility issues. I spent about 5 minutes searching the top floor for it before calling the property manager—who was incredibly friendly & responsive. Everything was spotless, and the location is super convenient. We wish we had more time to enjoy the house, but we were busy celebrating with family and friends from around the world. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we visit Monterey!

Great little apartment in the middle of everything in downtown Carmel by the Sea. We LOVED staying here!

We had such a lovely stay here! The home is beautiful, and our kiddos (2 yo and 4 yo) just love it here as well. We had so much fun eating family dinners on the patio outside, and we also loved watching the sunsets (and the fog roll in) on the front deck. We try to come out to Carmel once a year and this is our second time staying at Holly’s home. We look forward to staying here again for our next trip!

We had a large group that rented both properties - the Hacienda House and Vineyard House. Both were excellent, as described, stocked with anything you need and communication was fast and helpful. Our entire family loved it and felt like royalty. Would highly recommend it and would come back again for sure.

This Airbnb was a gem and I’m so happy that we came across this listing. It was the perfect stay for our weekend getaway to Monterey and Carmel! The house was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. It had all the kitchen and bathroom amenities that we needed. I would stay here again and recommend it to my family/friends as well.

This neighborhood is safe and peaceful. We have stayed at The Dunes numerous times over the last 4 years. Lisa’s home is beautiful and inviting. We all felt very comfortable and relaxed. It is such a gorgeous area and the staff at the front gate is always so helpful too. I had to reach out to Lisa multiple times throughout our stay and each time her responses were quick and respectful. It was a delight to chat with her and we are definitely planning to come back and would rent this home again.

Really hard to describe how wonderful the whole back yard is. Sunset here were amazing. All kinds of wildlife. The smell of the California hills in springtime always refreshes. Dogs loved it (and couldn't quite believe it). We swung on the swing, sat in the gazebo, enjoyed basking in the balcony views.

We had a wonderful short getaway at Sue’s place! The condo is just steps from the beach, pool, and jacuzzi. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was relaxing, and the ocean breeze was very refreshing. It was exactly what we needed to reset and recharge. Everything was just as described, and we would stay here again! Thank you, Sue!

Fantastic location and home for a family get-away. Much to see and do on site and in the local area. The home is very comfortable and welcoming with all the amenities you might need and more. Can’t wait to book again!

Himani was super sweet! She made sure she was available when we arrived to give us the keys then gave us a run down of the place. My husband and I stayed with our friend and her fiancé so it was perfect as there were 2 private bedrooms, each with a private entrance outside. Each couple had our own half restroom and shared a shower, so if you don’t mind that, this place is perfect! Super close to Capitola and seascape resort where we attended a wedding.

We loved every moment spent in this house ,especially the cats , the house was very comfortable, clean and cozy, I would definitely recommend this house .

Thank you so much Rhea for allowing my family to enjoy this gem! The reviews spoke about the views but wow, incredible! You can literally see up the coast line on both sides. The condo was clean, had enough to accommodate a family of five! We were able to cook our meals every night without a problem. The pool is just a few steps up which my youngest definitely appreciated. We are already missing waking up to the sounds of the ocean! If we’re ever in the area we would be so lucky to book this place again.
