Thank you for looking at Windy Pines Suite. This spacious one bedroom/one bathroom suite has a large kitchen/living room; and is perfect for travelers. It is clean, comfortable, & uncluttered, a home away from home! It is surrounded by beautiful pines, in a safe neighborhood with accessible parking. Close by is the interstate with access to Iowa State Fair Grounds, and Downtown Des Moines. WP is attached to our home but it has its own separate outside entrance. Please send me any questions.

Drive into the attached garage and go upstairs where you will find your very private entrance to a quiet, peaceful, and restful living. Located 1 mile from the downtown area on a street loaded with large Oak and Walnut trees. A huge back yard in which to stroll or barbecue. It is the top half of my house complete with it's own kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. My residence is the bottom half of the house. Lots of excellent restaurants nearby. Beautiful historic duplex house in the heart of woodland heights. Walking distance to downtown and next to Ingersoll avenue which is full of shops, bars, restaurants and more. Our place allows 2 parking spots on site with a side entrance to your upstairs Airbnb. The 800+ sq ft space includes a private kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, and balcony with views of downtown. Picnic table and grassy area below balcony can be used on those nice Iowa days.

Outside we have a pool (guaranteed to be open 5/26 - 9/5, but will do everything possible to have it open well before and after those dates based on weather!), hot tub (year round). After a long trip into Des Moines we easily found a parking place, and with the instructions pretty much just walked right into the apartment with no effort at all. The apartment was awesome! Simple retro furnishings combined with the industrial construction gave the place just the right vibe to relax in and just felt, 'right'. Any time I thought I needed something, I opened a cabinet or looked in a closet, and there it was. And the view of downtown... wow. Everything else - parking was easy and felt safe. The apartment was right there after coming in - no long walks. Just a short walk down the hill and across the beautiful bridge to downtown. Lots of night life and great food just a few blocks away, yet distant enough that no noise followed you home. Looking forward to the next time I can take Diego up on his hospitality! Cheers!

Nice & Lofty 1bed/1bath in DSM - Pool-Gym-Parking

Had a very nice stay in Des Moines and the Air B&B was nice and clean and the bed was big and comfy. Nice view the City. I like to cook and having just some salt anf pepper and maybe some olive oil on hand could really do wonders for the kitchen situation but they had good pots and utensils etc. One thing that could improved is the coffee maker - the carafe doesn't fit the maker and grounds would go everywhere inside the coffee maker when trying to brew a pot. These are all minor things that would not prevent us from wanting to stay there again. Overall it was a wonderful experience with a great view of the city and it was close and convenient to good restaurants, breweries/bars etc. We even walked to Principal Field and caught an Iowa Cubs game. It was a great time!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and comfortable. Logan was responsive, kind, and made sure everything went smoothly. The location was perfect for all our appts and close to great places to eat. Really enjoyed resting on the porch with some hot tea.

Spotless room, bathroom, and home. Instructions were detailed and specific, which I appreciated. Room was easy to find based on description. I liked having a bathroom to myself. Instructions were provided for how to use the lamps, WiFi, location of usb/plugs. Friendly host; I appreciated being able to park in the driveway instead of on the street, but still, it’s a dead end in a quiet neighborhood so I would have been fine with on street parking too.
