Kittiwakes Coastal Cabin

TessaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Kittiwakes is the most stunning cottage on the cliffs. It is superbly situated literally right on the coastal paths where you can walk north to clovelly and south past the hartland quay. The views from the cabin are spectacular and the cottage itself is cosy, compact and very comfortbale with everything you need. Kelly was extremely kind and helpful on the day of my arrival i would not have gotten there without her help. The walks in the area are breathtaking!! I will miss it very much and cannot wait to return x

Otters Cottage, Lilypond Cottages

AndrewRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a super short break at the Otter Cottage. The location is really good, well positioned for Clovelly and the Hartland peninsula to the south, the beaches (and golf courses) of Westwood Ho and Saunton plus Exmoor to the north. Sophie was really welcoming and what really struck us was the attention to detail in the cottage. Everything was well prepared and everything had been thought through to make the stay as relaxing as possible. Highly recommended!

Shepherds Retreat. Handcrafted , North Devon

LucyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved our stay in the shepherd's hut. We wanted a peaceful escape surrounded by nature and it was exactly that. We were rained in for one day but it ended up being our favourite experience- the hut is so cosy, everything you need is to hand, and we could sit and watch the scenery for hours. On the sunnier days there is a short walk to the coast path and the views of the coastline. The toilet and shower is the perfect set up, we also loved the outside bath and the wood stove.

The Treehouse at Salcombe Farm

LorraineRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had a lovely time at the treehouse ,it was everything we had expected .The weather was amazing which enhanced our stay, meaning we were able to sit outside playing scrabble in the sun ,and walking into salcombe both evenings to enjoy lovely food, particularly Dick and Wills on my birthday where we had booked on recommendation,we particularly enjoyed the Devon Rum company cocktails on both evenings .We did ask one of the owners walking through on our arrival about one of the wooden loungers missing and he said they had new ones being assembled and he would bring it up but we never saw it.We just moved the rattan up to the level and used that ,perhaps that could be sorted .We would recommend the treehouse to anyone .Thank you x

Peaceful eco-retreat in the Devon countryside

JasmineRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We had amazing stay at Axe Valley View for a long birthday weekend in June. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay with beautiful valley views. We especially loved how wildlife and eco-friendly it was, both inside and out. A short drive to Lyme Regis where we attended the Fossil Festival 2025 and great local hiking routes, including Golden Cap in Bridport. Alison was a lovely and welcoming host and we would highly recommend a visit.

Tranquil luxury in the South Devon countryside

EmmaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We had the most wonderful relaxing 2 night stay at Monty’s. The sun was shining and it was just perfect. It was really peaceful and we loved listening to the birds and enjoying time away from our daily life. Everything we needed was there and the lovely cake that was left was absolutely delicious! Nice to have milk in the fridge as well and also shampoo and shower gel! The bed was extremely comfortable with its lovely crisp white sheets and the shower was really nice. It was lovely to have such friendly hosts and hear about how Monty’s came about! You have both clearly worked very hard and we thank you for letting us stay. Thank you also for saying to ditch the satnav and go the coastal route to Dartmouth as it was stunning! It is such a lovely area and there was so much to do that we needed longer!

Barn in Spectacular, Tranquil Gardens and Farmland

RebeccaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful 3 weeks at the barn and were very sad to leave! As soon as we arrived, I felt myself relax. The gardens and farmland were beautiful and so peaceful, and the barn itself was thoughtfully considered, spotlessly clean, spacious and very well furnished. We had a lot of fun exploring around the farm with our 3 year old - playing down by the river and rowing the boat on one of the small lakes. It was amazing to have this on our doorstep! We visited a lot of places during our stay but my favourite was probably Boscastle - we enjoyed walking through the village through the valley to the cliffs and watching the blowhole in action. We loved the Boscastle Farm Shop & Cafe too - we sat outside enjoying the wonderful views while we ate delicious food and our little one had fun in the play area. Liz and Robert were the best hosts - we really enjoyed chatting with them and they were super responsive when we needed anything. I really hope we can return to stay again one day!

Otters Holt: Dog friendly flat in converted barn

AlexRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Fiona is a really excellent host, so friendly and welcoming. She even sent back to us via the post some things we left behind, which was so kind. It was really sweet, charming decor (Fiona clearly has excellent taste) and 2 great sized double beds. Surrounding countryside was lovely with lots of great walks from the house. It’s all on one level (the only stairs are to go up to the entrance) so worked well with us and our 2 small children. The only watch out I would have are the beams in the kitchen are quite low so one to be aware of if you are tall. Definitely one we would come back to again

SarahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved are stay at no3, lovely quiet location and so peaceful, very friendly layback atmosphere in the village and being able to walk straight onto the moor, a real bonus, found parking spaces easily near the cottage. The, Taw River Inn, in Sticklepath and, The Tor, in the village were great for food. Ledford Gorge is definitely worth a visit, just magical.

Cosy recently renovated country 1 bed cottage.

JohnRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Just what we needed for our stay. Everything we could possibly need was made available for a very comfortable visit. A very comfy large bed, a great en-suite with a great shower that (importantly) was easy and obvious how to operate. The kitchen had all we required to keep us happy for food prep and a nice comfy sofa to relax on when our tummies were full! Nice spot for eating/drinking/relaxing outdoors and very importantly for us, safe off road parking on the premises. A beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and comfy cottage in a lovely location. We’ll have to come back in winter so we can light that lovely stove in the fireplace! Thank you Jenni and Husband for a perfect stay.

Clover Carriage with pool, sauna and outdoor bath

JakeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our stay at Clover Carriage was peaceful, fun and the view we had of the countryside was outstanding. Clara was responsive and gave clear instructions (with photos) on how to find the farm and the carriage. She also gave some great recommendations of the local area. The pool and sauna are fantastic, and the privacy we received in our personal garden was incredible. The accommodation itself is super clean has everything you need. We absolutely loved our stay and will certainly be back again in the future.

Peace and Tranquillity -Hot Tub- Dog Friendly

TonyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Debbie’s place is a little piece of paradise, the setting is stunning, the gardens are fantastic and the cottage is warm and cosy whilst also being spacious and really well laid out. We had everything we needed and immediately felt at home. The open plan kitchen into the cosy living room left us all feeling connected, utility space was really useful, conservatory with stunning views allowed us to dine together and relax during the day. Outside area is also stunning for meals on the patio and bbq’s and the hot tub was great to relax in on an evening looking at the stars in peace and tranquility.. there’s a slight walk up to the property across a field but once you’re in the cottage and its gardens it’s worth every step. Great for the dogs too. Loads to do in the area, our highlight was Lyme Regis beach.. many thanks to Debbie and everyone who made us feel so welcome. We would go back to Debbie’s place in a heartbeat!

Luxury, thatched Devon bolthole on Dartmoor

EllieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Ben's cottage was stunning — we loved every moment of our stay. If it were possible to give 6 out of 5 stars, I would have. The surrounding area was breathtaking, we enjoyed wandering through the fields and visited the vineyard, where we sampled some fantastic wine. There were also some excellent local pubs close by, all serving delicious food. Everything felt convenient, peaceful, and just perfect — there wasn’t a single thing we could fault. We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

Fingle Farm

EricRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Shirley (and Roland) were very friendly and helpful. The place you stay is a separate little house. It is well arranged and very functional. Parking is easy and very close to the door. You don't need the TV, the ducks and chickens will provide entertainment. You get great views of the English countryside but the roads are very narrow.

Idyllic Country House on a Farm

RichardRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We chose this venue as it was recommended by Upton Barnes’s wedding venue where my son and his fiance were getting married. We were able to accommodate all of my side of the family for the wedding and the newly married couple joined us on Sunday to entertain members of the wedding party With a cooked breakfast followed by a barbecue lunch. There was plenty of space seating and parking for the approximately 25 people who visited us over the day.. Tracey was very helpful host and the house was equipped extremely well a three-year-old grandson had an enormous range of toys to entertain him. I cannot recommend this property more highly

Dream oasis for 2 w/starry nights & cosy delights

JennyRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Emma and Kevin couldn't have been more welcoming. Oystercatcher is a lovely place to stay and the private hot tub was perfect for us. Kevin made sure it was ready for when we wanted it. Touches such as the tea/coffee/ milk/Luscombe Elderflower Fizz made the visit and the homemade biscotti was perfect. Even the dog had a bag of treats. There was alot of information about the locality, including walks from the property and personal recommendations once we arrived. The location is very peaceful and the garden was beautiful. We will stay again.

The Old Stables - A Cosy Riverside Retreat

JoshuaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Ian’s place is great. The surrounding area and immediate vicinity are picturesque. The cottage is warm and homely. Ian’s dedication to making your feel comfortable is very welcome. Ian’s level of organisation, in particular, is outstanding; his guidebook covers everything you can think of and more - military precision. 10/10 recommend!
