Torre Alta: Ancient Stone House with Sea View

Tracy LouiseRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Maria’s home was perfect, beautiful location, immaculate, beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything you will need. The bed was comfortable and the view from the bedroom balcony was heavenly - especially first thing in a morning when you open the doors to mist settling over the mountains and the silent ancient town below. The rooftop terrace also offers amazing views and is the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing. Tortorella is a hidden gem, a town where time has stood still for many years, come evening the area is literally silent. Incredibly peaceful, the most authentic rural Italian experience you’re ever likely to find. Maria was so much more than an airb&b host, she went above and beyond to make our stay special, introducing us to the lovely locals and even acting as a personal tour guide on our final evening. Always available for advice and recommendations. This is a trip we will never forget and we will definitely return.

Luigina Apartment: Guardia Perticara

In one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, the location, a complete apartment, was in a beautiful home. Beautiful streets and very well maintained, a good supermarket, beautiful views on all sides. Too bad the directions, because we had driven into the village on the wrong side, was no longer correct, but with the help of all people from the village we ended up getting there. Highly recommended if you like old and tranquility, the surroundings are okay, but no things nearby.

La filera

We arrived late but the host still waited for us to welcome us. The couch bed was already prepared for the kids and we found everything we needed. The view from the terrace is spectacular! Unfortunately we stayed only one night but the village seems worth exploring. It is a good place to find peace and quiet. The streets are very narrow, if someone wants to come with a big car, they need to park farther away from the apartment.

House of the Stars – Castelmezzano

Spectacular views from this Airbnb, especially at night on the balcony. I really enjoyed my stay at Pierfeancesco / Antonello’s place. The kitchen was very useful because a lot of the restaurants were all booked during the weekend I visited Castelmezzano. Parking was challenging. But Pierfeancesco provided detailed instructions and a video. There are a lot of steps to climb in Castelmezzano to get to this Airbnb, so I recommend you find the place first and then bring your heavy luggage on a 2nd trip. Otherwise, I had a wonderful experience staying at Pierfeancesco / Antonello’s Airbnb. I definitely strongly recommend.

Villa Gabbiano - The old lady of the stairs

The special location of the house above the sea and the large terrace are more beautiful than can be conveyed in any picture. House and kitchen are very well equipped, cooking and enjoying on the terrace was a great pleasure. The entire property, but also the region, is a green oasis. The house was built and furnished for private use, the history of the owners gives it a very personal atmosphere, a beautiful enrichment for us. Nicolo was available for questions at any time, his assistant quickly on site, if necessary. Down in Scario, there is a well-equipped supermarket and some restaurants, the promenade and harbor are quiet and tranquil, a small bay invites you to swim, the nature reserve behind the house to hike.

This Airbnb is a DREAM. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Iris and Milena will welcome you like family — so even if it’s your first time in Italy, you’ll feel safe and at home the entire trip! They offer a complimentary shuttle to and from the property if you arrange, which is SO rare in Matera, where parking can be a challenge. It’s the most premium Airbnb experience I’ve had in Italy. 🇮🇹 The views in the place: Absolutely STUNNING. Every room opens onto a picture-perfect backdrop. The home has two bathrooms, air conditioning, & every hotel-level amenity you could want, you can really tell the hosts have hospitality experience. 🌅😍🏩🏨 My best friend and I are content creators & truly couldn’t believe how photogenic the entire place is. Not only the Airbnb:The TOWN TOO—It’s was such a dream for us! Milena’s brother works at the restaurant next door, incredible food and wine, and they’ll even bring it to the airbnb! The location is central and walkable, with minimal stairs, making it accessible for
