Tent holiday rentals in Dorset

This was our first glamping experience and it exceeded expectations. Lovely spacious, clean tents that were well equipped. The perfect of balance of a bit of electricity and warm water but the need to light the wood burning stove to cook and heat the tent to retain the glamping experience! The field opposite was perfect for the kids to play and it was fun checking for eggs and watching the cows being milked. We loved our stay and exploring the area. We would highly recommend these tents to other families (Our kids are 3, 5 & 8 and all of them loved it 😊)

We had a brilliant time at Sophia's place!! She was so friendly welcoming us as we arrived, and our kids quickly befriended. Her place is very child friendly and feel extremely safe to let them run around. Definitely recommend Sophia's camping spot for anyone looking for a great family experience with small kids.

We had a lovely 5 day stay in the Kimmeridge bell tent with our 3 children. The kids loved camping, there was plenty of space on the site and they made friends with other children staying. Showers, loos and the kitchen area were well maintained and useful. Location is rural, but there is a nice pub within walking distance and it is a good base the explore Dorset from. Plenty of beaches and towns with things to do nearby. Sophia was very friendly and gave lots of useful tips of places to visit while we were there. A lovely stay and would recommend.

Beautiful bell tent, well equipped kitchen and the kids play tipi was great! Pub a few minutes walk away was also lovely and great food! Perfect location for the beautiful Jurassic coast. Thanks for a lovely stay, Lauren, Alex and Rosie x

Great intro to camping. We had an issue with our own inflatable mattress and asked if they had a spare we could borrow and Sophia responded quickly. The kids loved the friendly cat, great location between Lulworth and Weymouth both 20 mins away, big tesco 15 mins or so in Dorchester if you do forget anything. Campsite was clean, kitchen had plenty of utilities and electricity points for charging stuff. Bell tents are surprisingly spacious for us (5). Will go again and recommend to friends and family

Linda and Gary are fabulous hosts at this beautiful and peaceful glamping site. From booking onwards Linda sent us lots of really useful information on what to pack and what to expect - really handy when packing for three kids! When we arrived Linda and Gary were there to greet us and show us around. The honesty shop set up is brilliant! The tents themselves are well equipped and nicely kitted out - the views are stunning. We loved the pizza night. Everything is very well organised and really thoughtfully done. The kids loved feeding the farm animals with Gary too. The other campers were also really friendly and there was a great atmosphere. Would love to visit again.

We stayed with Simon & Sarah for a little family getaway after our wedding. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we stayed an extra night as we didn’t want to leave. So easy having the pub onsite for dinner and drinks, the kids loved the play bus and the goats! Would definitely recommend.

was a really nice stay, the safari tent was Glamping+++, sight was really friendly, nice and quiet and the amenities were great, we will definitely go back, maybe with our own tent, or maybe for the full glamping experience again!!! kids loved it!!!

What an amazing place. We stayed in ash safari tent and it was so peaceful and perfectly accommodating. Heated blankets, fireplace, kitchen with fridge and everything you need. The pool and hot tub were an amazing bonus and the kids just loved it. We stayed for 3 nights but easily could have stayed the whole week and we were very sad to leave! Toasting marshmallows, pizza on site and beautiful scenic surroundings really made the holiday one to remember. We will definitely be returning!

Me and my partner had the best time during our stay at riverdale barn. The Glamping tent had everything we needed and we felt at home. We slept so well as the bed was as very comfortable and we had a heated sheet which was a lovely touch in the evenings when it got a bit chilly. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful. We look forward to coming back next year and will recommend this place to our friends and family 😁

The camp site was perfect for me and my 2 children, the alpaca’s, the goats, the facilities and whole site was amazing, they loved it! Throughout our stay Claire made us feel right at home, and always made sure we had everything we needed! She even took the time to sit down and talk with my 2 sons on multiple occasions about the fossils they found that day 😊

We spent our August bank holiday at the Foxglove Bell Tent and had an amazing experience! The campsite was impeccably prepared, with fantastic bathrooms and a relaxing sauna session that we thoroughly enjoyed. The field had well-mowed paths leading to each camping area, which was especially helpful at night. The bell tent was fully equipped with firewood, cutlery, crockery, and all utensils, making outdoor cooking a pleasure. Philip is an outstanding host—very responsive, friendly, and helpful. It’s a great place for families as well! Everyone respected each other, and the campsite was pleasantly quiet. We highly recommend staying here!

We had a fantastic stay at Sophie’s peaceful glamping place. With only four holiday lets, it felt beautifully quiet and relaxing. The fishing was a real highlight, my husband caught 50+ fish in three days, including a personal best of 16lb carp. We loved the beautiful bell tent, it was already set up, and spotlessly clean, with comfy beds, duvets, pillows, and all bedding and towels provided. The facilities block was clean and smart and the showers were warm. West Bay and the Eype–Seatown coastal walk was beautiful with stunning views. A few small touches would have made it even better: towel hooks by the sinks for teeth brushing, an extra pillow per person, slightly larger towels, a bench in both showers and some non-metal crockery for the microwave. But overall, this was one of the most peaceful, enjoyable breaks ever. We came home feeling rested and happy, wishing we could have stayed longer. We’d recommend it and we hope to return with friends in the summer.

Fantastic place to stay in Somerset countryside whilst visiting friends. A stones throw away from Bruton and 10 min walk into Wincanton. Charlie and Paul were extremely helpful, friendly hosts and I had everything I needed for a very cosy, comfortable stay, with beautiful view across the meadow. Very tastefully styled and well equipped too. Charlie organised a yoga class in the big chill out tent for a few of us which was extra special and the hot tub was especially magical at nighttime under the stars.

It was fantastic. Myself and my partner were able to switch off, relax and enjoy the outstanding view. We will be back for sure x

What a beautiful setting to relax and have fun with the children. We had a wonderful first night, unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to personal reasons but we will definitely be staying again and have recommended to family and friends.

If I could give hundred stars I would! This is the perfect glamping spot we’ve stayed! We enjoyed it so much we will definitely be back. Great location, fantastic amenities like clean bathrooms and full kitchen facilities, comfy beds, short walk to everything you need. Beautiful scenes. Had the most beautiful trip! Very last minute booking and we couldn’t be any more thankful that Alex let us book with little notice! Absolutely beautiful location and bell tent. The decking area makes it look absolutely stunning also. So much room for the children to run! Alex was super responsive to questions/queries, sadly we didn’t get to physically meet as we missed each other both days. Toilet/shower area was very clean and looked after, so much information in the hut as you enter the site. Everything you could need in the tent, wood, fire lighters, leaflets of surrounding areas/attractions and the site itself. We were very lucky to have the whole site to ourselves for our short stay! Felt even more luxury. We will be back if it’s with the children or without! All the best The Heir Family x

Our stay at Darrell's tent was fantastic! Darrell was super helpful, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, even when we arrived late. The tent was in a beautiful wooded area, waking up to birds chirping was lovely. Cooking equipment was clean and new, and shared facilities were spotless. The only improvement needed is a more precise address, as it took us extra time to find the location. Overall, a great experience for our first tent stay!

A perfect weekend. Host was brilliant. Bell tent was amazing. Location is great. Great local pub with fantastic food Hannah recommended just a short walk. The surrounding is quaint and beautiful. The campsite has everything you need - camp kitchen / hot showers etc. The hosts also brought out toys for our kids to play with and they just enjoyed being free and catching butterflies in the grass. Would 10/10 recommend to a friend - thanks for having us.

We stayed with a group of adults and children for the weekend. Nancy and Richard provided everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, bathroom, and for the kids and dogs. Met us on site, gave great local recommendations and were flexible with check in and out times. Nancy visited daily to stock up on ice packs and have a chat. We’ll be back in the not too distant future hopefully!

An absolutely wonderful stay , beautiful surroundings . Great time spent in nature ( no Internet/phones) with 3 generations of family . The safari tent had everything needed down to the finest detail , comfortable, clean and cosy , lots of nice homely touches. Will definately be recommending this to others and will definately be returning !
