Family-friendly holiday rentals in Downtown, Pensacola

It’s a wonderful beach and beautiful surroundings. The pool was a nice size. It didn’t feel overcrowded. The balcony with the table and chairs had a great view of the ocean.

When we first arrived, I was notified that the unit i booked months ago somehow got double booked and that it was already booked for the weekend. They told me there was a “replica” in the same complex that they would move us too, no big deal. I walked in this “replica”and was NOT happy at all (i spent close to 3k on the room alone) i called and they were nothing but understanding and accommodating! They agreed that it was unacceptable and immediately moved us to a new location. We were moved to La Playa and stayed in unit 903 and that condo was a DREAM! Amazing views, comfy beds, the kids each had their own bedroom with their own full bath, we felt so comfortable in this unit and it was hard to come home! Thank you for making this trip so memorable and accommodating our needs. We were more than satisfied once we made the move and highly recommend La playa resort. Less people, more private, and very clean and upscale. We will definitely return! Thank you!

Highly recommend this condo. Very roomy, clean and comfortable. The view is exquisite. Loved the pools. Not crowded. Nice to have the beach chairs and umbrella. Although we sat mostly by the water. It’s the perfect location. Host was very friendly and helpful.

Me and my boyfriend make an annual trip down to Pensacola Beach and this was our first time staying at Nancy’s place and it was perfect! Her space had all the amenities you need like beach chairs, toys, beach towels, and dishes for cooking! It’s across the street from beach and an easy walk. The pool was also a nice touch and the view of the bay from the balcony was great. All the restaurants are within a 5 minute drive with a little convenience store minutes away as well. Nancy is also super kind and gave great recommendations and had clear communication! We will definitely try to book her space for next year as well!

Leigh was a wonderful host during our stay, she was so helpful with recommendations and answering any questions we had. The condo was very peaceful with views of the Blue Angels right from the pool! The condo was tastefully decorated and extremely clean. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Let me tell you this place has the most amazing views in the world. We stayed five nights and six days. You walk in and you feel like you are in paradise. It has everything you will need for your vacation. If you want to go out on the town you can or you can stay on the resort your whole stay and will have something to do every day. From booking to checkout it was amazing. I would recommend this place to everyone. My kids could not stop thanking me for this Mommy and me vacation. They had the best time ever. You definitely will not be disappointed when you stay here. I can’t wait to book this place again for our next vacation.

This older beach house felt like a nostalgic summer camp- clean, cozy, full of charm, but not fancy. Expect some quirks like foggy windows, loose deck boards, and the occasional critter (we saw frogs, birds, a turtle, ants, and 18 palmetto bugs!). The dock on the bay was the highlight- we even saw 4 dolphins up close! My husband only caught 2 small fish, but still enjoyed the peaceful water. The house could use a welcome guide- we struggled a bit with the TV- but the host was super communicative and helpful throughout our stay. The hot water here...chef's kiss! It got hot quick and stayed hot so we both could wash off the sunscreen at the end of a fun day. If you're into nature, want to be on the water, and don't need luxury, this place is a great budget-friendly option. We made some great memories here!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Mermaid Cottage, everything that is posted is accurate to include images. We have been coming to Pensacola Florida for years and usually stayed at the hotels so this was the first experience we had using Airbnb and due to Ella’s hospitality we will continue to use Airbnb when we travel. Ella was very responsive when I had questions. As new empty nesters our 2 dogs are like our children and it was amazing to bring them with us to share this experience. This couldn’t have happened without the opportunity Ella provided us to bring our pets. All in all this was an amazing experience, I would highly recommend the Mermaid Cottage and Ella if you are looking for the opportunity to enjoy Pensacola Beach.

This was our second time staying here. It's clean and spacious. I love how close it is to the beach. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to have a couple home cooked meals and even did a little baking! Beautiful place and another wonderful time with the family.

The house was peaceful and in a quiet historic neighborhood. Dick had bikes available for us and even offered a bike tour! The house had plenty of amenities, we didn’t need anything because it was all there! The bedrooms were beautiful and quiet. I highly recommend this house!

We had a great week here for Spring Break!!!! The directions were a little off saying the office was located across the street and we never did get codes to any of the doors - however, we lived!:). We would love to stay here again! Thank you!

Amazing place!!! House is clean, well stocked and decorated lovely! AC is so cold and works fantastic - nice to walk into after a hot day at the beach/pool! Beds comfortable too! The shuttle to/from the beach club was fantastic and we enjoyed the golf cart to take night drives around the neighborhood. Excellent communication with host and very accommodating. Even the bus drivers and community gate guards were amazing! We would most definitely stay here again if in the area. Thank you!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property in Pensacola, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. The house is beautifully designed with impressively high ceilings, creating a spacious and airy atmosphere. It was impeccably clean upon arrival, which immediately made me feel comfortable and at home. All the appliances were in perfect working order, adding to the convenience and ease of our stay. The location is another standout feature, with the beach and numerous restaurants just a short distance away. This made exploring the area and enjoying local attractions incredibly convenient. Overall, this property is in an excellent location and offers everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Pensacola.

Beautiful condo with an amazing view! We didn't want to leave!

We were very happy with our stay here. The condo is in a great location, close to everything we needed/wanted to do. If I have a question or needed the host for any reason he answered my questions very quickly. We had a small issue with the gate code when we first arrived but we called the hose and we were buzzed in immediately. When we tried again later in the evening it worked perfectly. Everything was clean. They even had coolers, binoculars, and a speaker that we could use if we chose to which was really nice! (We brought our own so we didn’t use but it was nice to have.) The balcony was very spacious with lots of seating. Overall, we were extremely happy with this condo and we stay again!

Beautiful views. Beautifully decorated. You feel in awe as you walk in the door. The views are spectacular. And the condo is clean, decorated well and feels like a home. Asti is an excellent communicator. We wanted to add one night to our stay and she had availability for that one night and she made it happen. Highly recommend this condo and Portofino Island Resort.
