Welcome to Bosch en Duin in our former garage/barn which has been converted into a very luxurious and stylish home as of 1 September 2016. Ideal for 2 people, but also suitable for a family with 2 children or 4 friends. The house is completely insulated and is heated by underfloor heating and a wood stove. Through a window as large as the garage doors and on the other side windows up to the ridge and 3 large skylights it is a lovely bright room with beautiful views of the garden and forest of a total of 2800m. The Garage consists of one large room with a wooden unit in the middle. On one side of the unit is a beautiful, complete kitchen with 4 burners/combi oven, dishwasher and fridge-freezer integrated in a hard stone countertop. On the other hand, there is a small but tasteful shower (thermostatic tap), toilet and sink with automatic tap and illuminated anti-condensation mirror. The unit offers spacious wardrobes and drawers and a staircase to the top. On the unit there is a double bed of 1.60 x 2.00m with a lovely sheep wool duvet of 2.00 x 2.00 m. For loungers with fear of heights, there is a spacious and comfortable sofa in the sitting room that changes into a double bed of 1.40 x 2.00 m with one movement. Next to this spacious corner sofa there is another loom chair to slide close to the stove. In the dining area there is a spacious wooden table with 4 chairs. Through the drawings and ceramic images of our son, outsider artist Hannes, the space gets a very personal and cheerful look. The house has a private, private and wonderfully sheltered terrace with comfortable garden chairs with cushions. In the forest there is a bench to enjoy nature in peace or to read a book. Finally, there is a hammock for a delicious afternoon nap. The house has wifi, with which you can watch via our Ziggo connection to the existing Ipad TV, also radio. There is no flat screen TV. We have a dog of our own, but we don't want a dog in the garage. Guests can use the entire property, but also the terrace, the forest and the driveway to park their car. We will be present when the guests arrive and leave. We tell the guests about our house, the equipment and the environment. Smoking is not allowed in the house. We do not provide breakfast or other meals. Combine nature and culture in 'De Garage', on the estate Ter Wege in Bosch and Duin, surrounded by the forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and a short distance from Utrecht and Amersfoort with their many museums, restaurants and other nightlife. Guests can use our bicycles. A bus stop is present at about 10 minutes walk. Of course, own transport is always easier and faster. The guests can always reach us by phone for questions.

Guesthouse on private tennis court, near nature reserve.

We have a detached guesthouse in the back of our property, 50 meters behind our house and our private tennis court. Perfect location for visiting Utrecht and Amsterdam (10 and 40 minutes by train, and station is within walking distance). Also ideal for cycling and hiking tours because we are at the National Park “Utrechtse Heuvelrug”. The rental is incl. max. 2 hours (per day) use of our tennis court. Please indicate in advance if you want to play tennis. Bicycles can be safely stored here.

We had 4 great days in the beautiful house. The great thing is that it is super usable in both good and bad weather and invites you to simply relax. Fireplace and sauna for rainy days, the large terrace for hot days. Highly recommended. 🍀 In addition, the kitchen is equipped with all the essentials, so you can start cooking right away.

Nice, atmospheric, super clean and inviting. The hosts were very welcoming and super helpfull. We love the fresh strawberries from their garden. We love the heated floors. The area is great for bicycle riding, to enjoy pastures, castles and windmills. Also there is the opportunity for buying fresh cherries, jam and eggs.

it was a very nice experience with my friend. We stayed for two nights. The place was easy to find, clean and with all the equipment that we needed. Frank was very friendly. He offered us a welcome drink and snacks, and checked with us whether everything was okay from time to time. The neighbourhood was also very friendly! We had a flat tire when we were 3min-drive away, many people passing by stopped and offered to help. Overall, we would choose this place again the next time we go to the Nederland. :)

The house is wonderfully located in a wooded area. Joanne's husband was already ready to welcome us upon arrival. The cottage is beautifully light among the trees and has a lovely patio. There is a trampoline for the children and a playground. We will definitely come back.
