Grace's house was a real treat! Nestled away in the trees overlooking the river made it feel so private and peaceful. The house itself was so cosy, clean and inviting but had plenty of space and different areas to relax. The grounds were amazing and the kids had a ball discovering the swings, hottub and reading shed. The whole place was magical and we were sad to leave. Grace was very responsive to any communication and made us feel so welcome. The house location was a great base for some of the stunning sights Donegal has to offer and we were very close to many beautiful sandy beaches. This house was the best airbnb we have ever stayed in! My partner, doggy and myself had an incredible time at Catrionas. We stayed for two nights and sat in both evenings and enjoyed the amenities. Catriona has three lovely dogs and so many cute farm animals - we were lucky enough to see baby bell as a 3 week old lamb. Most importantly Catriona was very accommodating of our dog who can be a bit funny (being very kind), she was a great host. Her place is the most perfect tranquil piece of heaven! Would recommend it to everyone :)

Absolutely stunning location, beautiful scenery and so private and peaceful. Excellent location for visiting the cliffs and beaches. The local pub offers great food and wonderful atmosphere. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly. Patrick was a very responsive host and easy to deal with.

We had a great stay at this Airbnb. The space was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The wood-burning hot tub was a highlight—though it took about 2–3 hours of tending the fire to heat up, it was incredibly relaxing once ready. The surrounding ponds added a peaceful, scenic touch, and we really enjoyed walking around the area. Peter was a responsive and helpful host, especially when I accidentally left something behind—he kindly let me return to pick it up. Overall, a lovely and memorable stay.

The house is gorgeous and so cosy. Mairead was so friendly and helpful and we had a brilliant time. pics don't do it justice was a fab little retreat. absolutely recommend. Glenties is a lovely wee town too and locals were so friendly. had an amazing trip

We had a fantastic stay over the bank holidayweekend. Laura was a great host—friendly, helpful, and full of brilliant recommendations for places to eat and things to do in the area. The cottage itself is cosy, comfortable, and really well equipped, with everything we needed. The views from the cottage are absolutely stunning, and the hot tub was the perfect way to relax in the evenings after a day of exploring. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay! Moya & Gavin were lovely hosts—warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout. The house is absolutely stunning with an incredible view. Inside, it’s cozy and beautifully done, with everything you need. The kitchen is fully equipped, making it feel just like home. We’re definitely planning to come back soon!

We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely cottage and it was truly the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. The setting was beautiful—peaceful and picturesque, just perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cottage itself was charming, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. What really made our stay special was the excellent service and the warmth of the hosts. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We couldn’t recommend this place highly enough and hope to return in the future! Five stars all around!

We choose this cottage due to the downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms as one of our party has a disability and this worked really well for him. One bedroom has an ensuite and the other two bedrooms share the main bathroom (no other ensuite as mentioned in the description). Two of the beds are a bit on the small size for us, but we were able to sleep separately in the two rooms which were available. We were blessed with lovely weather therefore able to watch the sunset over the sea in the evening which was breathtaking. There was a fabulous food hamper waiting for us. Michael, the host made us most welcome and recommended the Narrow Quarter Bar & Bistro in Kerrykeel. Good recommendation as the food was amazing, but you need to book as it is very popular. I have marked down for cleanliness as the freezer was completely frozen over and we could not use it. We would definitely return to this cottage purely for its views, rugged and remote location. I

Just lovely wee place.. the fully fenced garden was brilliant for my dog, the garden is huge, the cottage was very cosy, very warm, bed comfortable, shower great. Noreen was a great communicative host and even supplied a ball for my dog!! Would not hesitate to recommend area, property and host... we had bad weather one day, a perfect excuse to just curl up and and indulge In the fabulous home, heat and a book!! Everything was as described, perfectly clean and everything you could want for a short or long stay!!

This was a beautiful home. everything you needed was there. House was spotless and clean. The views were beautiful from the house. Shop was just down the road so easy for getting the things we needed for staying at the house. We went to a pub which was a bit of a distance for walking but local taxi services were always on hand and local taxi numbers were available at the house on who to contact as well. All in all a beautiful place to stay and I would highly recommend this house and would go back to stay here if visiting Donegal again.

We loved our stay! The house is very well equipped with everything we needed to feel comfortable. The view is absolutely beautiful and the location is great. The host was very kind and always responded promptly to our messages. We were very satisfied with the experience and would definitely recommend it!

A magical and cosy cottage, beautifully decorated in calming neutral tones. The bed and sofa are wonderfully comfortable, perfect for relaxing, lazy days. It’s a lovely place to truly switch off and unwind, but still close enough to explore the charm of nearby unspoilt towns. The enclosed garden made it feel safe and welcoming for our 2 dogs, which was a big plus. Just at the end of the lane, you’ll find a stony seafront where you can take in the dramatic beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way. And if you’re after a sandy beach, there’s a stunning 5km stretch just a 15-minute drive away. There’s plenty to see and do in the area too, including a visit to Belleek Urban Park in Ballina. A wonderful spot for a peaceful, scenic escape.

We had an arming stay at this cottage. Hosts were brilliant, very helpful and friendly. Fantastic cottage and felt like we stepped back in time! Thank you, we’ll definitely be back!

It was an amazing place view was amazing Sarah is very responsible and available every time all over good just some toiletries were missing like body wash and toothpaste but I am sure if I would have asked she might provide but was not staying longer so I ddnt bother her …overall very nice thank you 😊

Wonderful! Laura and Ann were very welcoming! As we entered the house, it smelt amazing!! So clean and everything in its place. Plenty of bedding, plenty of cooking utensils… in fact plenty of everything, home from home! TV was a big hit with our 9year old and the back garden also, where we played. Not far from beaches, little drive away, not far from Dungloe town in a car. Lovely and quiet, which made the sleeps very relaxing! Definitely we will be back! Thank you Bren Tracey Killian

This was our second time in Ireland but the first time in Donegal and Inishorin. We absolutely fell in love with the place. Andrea’s cottage was a large part of that. It was charming, pristine, and in a gorgeous, private location. She gave us so many great suggestions for things to do. And the books…amazing selection of things to look at and read placed all around the cottage. The cozy nook in the dining area had an amazing view. We enjoyed sitting there and watching the sun set and the sky change colors. Andrea had some lovely touches, fresh flowers, a welcome packet with some yummy treats and a bottle of something to sip and enjoy. This was definitely one of the best places we have stayed and we highly recommend it.

We arrived in torrential rain and were met by the owner who quickly ushered us into the house which was warm and cosy, explained where everything was and kindly left us a lovely cake and milk in the fridge to settle us in. The house is exactly as described, comfortable beds and everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. Great to be able to sit out on the decking with a glass of wine after our daily travels and enjoy the view, peace & quiet. The only thing we couldn't find was a hairdryer, not sure if there was supposed to be one but it didn't matter as we all had short hair!! Our hosts were very friendly and great to have a chat to about where we were planning on visiting etc. Lots of amazing places to visit and the most beautiful beaches, so lucky with the weather during our stay...the rain came back when were were leaving. Would highly recommend staying here :-)

We had an amazing time. We enjoyed the house so much that we ate dinner in a couple of nights. Mary was helpful, responsive and kind. The stone circle behind the house was magical. It was the perfect place for a get away with excellent day trips. Mary was a huge asset

I had a lovely stay at Niamh and family's cottage . It's a lovely little cottage in a great location with easy access to surrounding sights. The cottage was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Niamh was a kind and friendly host. I would happily stay again

If you're looking for a great base for south-western Donegal, look no further than Dan & Rosie's place. Ardara is brilliantly located to explore the Sliabh Liag cliffs, Glencolumbkille, Glengesh Pass and a whole host of beautiful beaches. (And any other tips Dan & Rosie will send your way.) The place itself is small but perfectly formed and it's got everything you need to cook meals at home (most probably you'll hit the town for food, though, as there's loads of nice places around). Thanks to a spell of beautiful weather, we particularly appreciated the lovely outdoor space and even had breakfast al fresco!

What a truly magical place, a place where the faeries live… that’s how beautiful it is 💛 The cottage was a dream, with stunning grounds, a babbling stream 😍… everything about it was amazing! We were warmly welcomed and given a lovely tour by Michael, the owner and a true gentleman, which set the scene for a fabulous weekend. We had such a special time … thank you so much, Michael and Yvonne. We’ve already booked to come back in two weeks! 🤩
