Walk, cycle, kayak, swim. Book-lined lounge/study with sofa bed, double bedroom, kitchen, shower room, access to secure back garden with fish pond. Dogs welcome if friendly to mine.

There is a seating area in the twin bedroom and fridge/microwave/coffee machine in the hallway. An ideal base for visiting the area or for a stop-over. Grounds are extensive and views are breathtaking. Loch Long shore is at the bottom of the garden and there is a kids play area. Easy access to Loch Lomond, Glasgow, Arrochar Alps, Faslane and Coulport Naval bases.

The area is a paradise for anyone who loves peace, wildlife or the outdoors. Tucked away in a relatively undiscovered corner of Argyll, the location is remote yet easily accessible from Glasgow. I spend much of the year here myself but love to rent it to others to enjoy whilst I'm away.

Cats Castle

Built in 1888, Cats Castle sits in two acres on the seaward side of the A814, just beyond the western edge of Dumbarton. The property has wonderful views down the Firth of Clyde. Cats Castle is close to Glasgow, Helensburgh, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. The castle comprises three reception rooms, all with working fireplaces, a family kitchen, pantry, and five bedrooms, including the turret bedroom on the top floor. Our fully equipped flat is part of the upper story of a victorian villa on the western shore of Loch Long. Originally built in 1860 and extended in 1910, the house has fabulous views of the loch. The flat is very well equipped and has everything you need for your stay in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
