Kid-friendly holiday rentals in East Malaysia

Very big and spacious house. The kids loved the pool. The two washers and a good dryer made it convenient to wash our dirty laundry.

We stayed at Jack Homestay during our Miri trip after hiking the Mulu Pinnacles, and it was an amazing experience. The place was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay here. Check-in and out was easy. The host was very friendly and responsive any time of the day and provided good recommendations for local restaurants. The house worked great for our large family. The large living room was great. The kitchen had utensils we needed to cook some of our own foods. The gated and fenced area outside was a nice bonus for parking the car in as well as for the kids to run around in. Everything was clean and in order and worked as it should. While there is no washing machine, there are a couple laundromats nearby (just a few minutes drive). We did laundry there and ate at a restaurant in the same complex. There’s also a nice sized supermarket within a few minutes’ drive. Overall, we’d highly recommend this place!

Great host, our eight people stayed very comfortably, there are still empty beds, the host provided pick-up and drop-off service very thoughtfully, disposable supplies are all prepared, and it is also very safe ~ Close to the town, very cost-effective, suitable for family trips, the air conditioning works very well!I will stay again next time ~ Chinese communication is barrier-free

good location with some restaurants just walking distance away and a mall right over the road. pillow is not very comfortable to me and can do with few more NEW toilet rolls.

Great seaview and we caught the best sunset during our trip. Road leading to Jesselton Quay Citypad can be congested but it’s actually walkable to the city center,around 20 minutes. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores and laundromat in the same building

Best homestay we have ever stayed in!!! House is fully equipped, whatever tools/equipment/appliances/consumables items that you need are there. Owner is not stingy, communicates clearly & it was a pleasure to come across such pleasant one. We appreciate the owner’s great hospitality, they really placed extra effort to organise meticulously for our stay. Beautiful scenery towards Pulau Gaya & the bustling Jesselton pier. House is very clean, no bad odour, kids-friendly, well organised & great location. In the future, shall seek this same organisation/ owner for our homestay again.

Misun’s Mango House is my go-to place whenever I’m in Kota Kinabalu. It’s not in the CBD but it’s easy to get around with Grab (local car service). What’s stands out from Mango House is its phenomenal panoramic view of the harbor and the city, the unit is at the corner of Tower 1 therefore you’d have an L-shaped view of South China Sea from the living/dining room. Now I’m afraid that my review is too good I may not be able to book Mango House easily in the future… Misun please give me priority because I’m Mango House’s biggest fan. 😬 The lower floors of the towers have 24/7 convenient stores, round-the-clock laundromats and restaurants that entice your taste buds. Walkable to Jesselton Point which is the hub of boats to the islands. Pool may not be as amazing as the hotels’ but still not a bad place for those who’s looking to get some tans.

overall, i am satisfied with everything..responsive host, clean house, great location, clear instructions from the host. highly recommend..i like how i was greeted by the view as soon as i walk inside the house.
