Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Eastern Province

I had a wonderful stay at this villa! The views were absolutely stunning—waking up to that scenery every day was a real treat. The overall ambiance was calm, cozy, and inviting, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. Both the indoor and outdoor areas were spacious and beautifully maintained, offering plenty of room to unwind, dine, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The staff was amazing—attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. A special shoutout to the chef Ranga who was fantastic and prepared delicious hotel-style meals that made the experience feel even more luxurious. it was a truly memorable stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape with great service and stunning views.

What an adventure. We were a group of friends with people of all ages and everyone loved the space. It’s not a child friendly place but kids (and everyone else) loved the surroundings,birds and views. We hiked to the neighboring hill and were rewarded with amazing views. The hosts are very attentive and dealt with any issues proactively. It’s not an easy location but one worth making the effort to get to. The house is beautiful and rustic. An outdoor bathroom isn’t the most practical but somehow adds to the house and we can see how it would be great on the summer. The kitchen had everything we needed, we cooked all our meals with ease, and the local housekeeper is perfect if you prefer not to cook, in fact having her cook for you is a great way of empowering her to create a better life for herself and her family. Jody and Punyaka were always responsive and we hope to have the chance to visit again, it’s not an experience we will easily forget! Don’t miss Diyaluma falls (take swimsuit).

Our family group (including grandparents and grandchildren) really enjoyed our stay. We really appreciated the provision of the water cooler to eliminate having to buy bottled water or boil it from the tap. Arun was very helpful and informative leading up to the visit when we had questions about parking our bus and driver’s accomodation. The home itself was very pleasant and well maintained.

The host and his family are very friendly and helpful. The apartment is spacious, with plenty of room to spread out. There's a pleasant balcony out the back where we enjoyed eating our meals. It's a twenty minute walk into town, or a quick Tuk Tuk ride. Scooter hire is available, and we made use of it to explore Sigiriya and the local area. The neighborhood is peaceful and welcoming.

Croco House is a relaxing retreat. You can easily walk to the main area (recommend renting a scooty via Mita) or just spend the day at the house with hammocks, ocean, and good vibes. Nicola was a very responsive host and he genuinely cares about his guests. Having Mita on the premises was a blessing; he is very reserved, helped organize local logistics, and made great breakfasts. The place would be perfect for a small group of friends.

We had a great stay at Azeers and Leann's place! They were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our time as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The accommodation itself was spacious, beautifully furnished, and very well equipped — the kitchen had everything we needed, including a washing machine, which was a great bonus. The location was perfect: just a few meters from the beach, yet quiet and secluded, offering total relaxation. We would definitely love to come back!

Our stay here was truly special. The place is cute and cosy - like right out of an Enid Blyton book. Their adorable pets - cats Lucy and Sally and dogs Toby and Sandy can become the perfect furry companions sometimes :) We fell in love with the food as well. Starting from the wholesome lunch with rich portion sizes of rice and 4 different curries to the breakfast of hoppers, caramelized onions, pancakes and homemade orange marmalade- aunty’s home cooked meals made us come back for more! They could also arrange a scooter for us for 3000 LKR per day that helped us explore Nuwara Eliya as per our wish :) Overall, this is a highly recommended stay for anyone visiting the charming little hill town.

We stayed 5 nights at Cecilia Cottage and did not want to leave once our time was up. A beautiful and peaceful apartment that felt homely right away. The host sharmini went above for all our requests and made our stay very special. I can’t wait to visit again. Thank you very much for everything!

I had a wonderful stay at this place in Nuwara Eliya! The location was perfect- close to all the main attractions, restaurants, and shops, which made it super convenient to get around. The property itself was lovely, clean, and well-maintained, with all the facilities I needed for a comfortable stay. Everything from the cozy rooms to the fully equipped kitchen. Definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya and would love to stay here again!

We travelled with our 3 year old daughter and had an exceptionally nice stay! We recommend it 100%. Stunning views, peaceful surroundings. Fantastic breakfasts served on the beautiful terrace. It’s even better than the pictures! The host family was extremely kind and helpful at all times. The house is located at walking distance to 9 Arch Bridge and about 15 min by tuk tuk/car from central Ella. It’s super easy to find transport and to get around. We will for sure cone back and enjoy this house and Ella! Thank you so much.

Quite nice apartment，brand new with good furniture. And the staff are friendly and professional. near the building there is a nice coffee shop，That would be better if you prepare the hair dryer😊

Oh I just loved this special place. I slept great and woke up to such a beautiful morning on my balcony. I had a tea while watching nature and taking it all in. The garden is very special and I was able to find such a moment of peace there.

The apartment was as described and very clean. Upali met us on arrival and provided us with the keys and showed us the place. We asked him for a heater as it was quite cold in the apartment and he brought that along with a blanket right away. The unit is very damp - perhaps it is because of the location but it is quite noticeable. There was an elevator which we appreciated since we had luggage. Having a kitchen and a fridge was also very convenient. There is a restaurant at the first floor of the building that serves decent food as well. We walked to the main market which is about 9 minutes away. Overall excellent value for the money and great for a night or two!

This was our first time visiting Sri Lanka and Nilaveli was the first stop. The rooms are immaculate, very homely and everything is clean and well maintained. The facilities at the complex are plenty. Loved the view from the balcony facing right towards the Sea ! Ghazzali was extremely cooperative and helpful throughout the stay. Highly recommend this spot and will definitely be back !

Beautiful place. Very clean. The pools and beach are amazing. The restaurant on site is good and cheap. The wifi only seemed to work in the morning.

Where do I start? We arrived and were struck by the beautiful pool and gardens. The apartment is stunning - palacial in size! The photos don’t do it justice and the huge balcony offers stunning views of the garden, pool and beach. It was honestly the best apartment we’ve ever stayed in. The condo manager was also friendly and helpful with any queries we had. We had planned to visit Trinco but decided to make the most of the apartment and beach to relax. The balcony offers the perfect location to capture the awesome sunrise over the ocean. We used a local company (Pigeon Island Tours) to visit Pigeon Island for a snorkel safari - amazing sea life! We could have stayed longer but regretfully had to continue our adventure of this beautiful country. The apartment was a 10/10! Thank you Nalinda.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Nilaveli condos and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. Host Tisura was very supportive. The apartment was clean and well equipped. Direct access to the beautiful Nilaveli Beach. It was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the view of the ocean , I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay and enjoy the Nilaveli beach .I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit!

A bit hard to find, but host was responsive and spoke to our tuk tuk driver. Otherwise a lovely condo and right next to the beach, would definitely come back

Absolutely amazing breathtaking fact you forget about all your worries and sorrow the moment when you walk in and look through those big massive windows really really wish I could’ve stayed longer however, looking forward to Returning in November once again thank you for all of your assistance during my day and constant phone calls definitely recommend this place guys worth every penny
