We had the perfect staycation here in Port Vila! The location is absolutely ideal—gorgeous sunsets every evening and so much space for the kids to run around and play. The home was spotlessly clean and felt like a true escape from the everyday. Peaceful, stress-free, and close to some fantastic restaurants. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

“Vanuatu’s Hidden Gem” Review: Our stay at this Airbnb in Vanuatu was extraordinary. Advised to bring snorkels, we were thrilled to discover amazing snorkelling just at the garden’s end. It was a spectacular show of marine life, surpassing any paid reef trip we’ve experienced. The property was paradise personified. Cooking Christmas dinner over an open fire and mixing cocktails in the well-equipped kitchen was delightful. The place’s beauty far exceeded the photos; it’s a true paradise. The beds provided utmost comfort, and the perfect weather enhanced our experience. The onsite staff were notably kind and helpful, adding to our stay’s pleasure. This Airbnb is a gem, offering a blend of natural beauty, comfort, and warm hospitality. It’s a must-visit destination.

If your looking for paradise away from too much tourism this place is a dream. We absolutely loved it and extended our stay. The 9 nights were wonderful. Was the best snorkeling I've ever done and we've travelled a lot as a family. The house is perfect, solar and all your need if you love the environment and don't need excess energy. We took plenty of food from Australia which I'd highly recommend for a long stay so you don't have to go back to main island to shop and just enjoy your paradise. We will definitely return!

This was just what I wanted! A week in the middle of nowhere with good internet for a working holiday. Since it is so isolated, I had my taxi driver stop at the grocery store for breakfast foods on my way to Banana Bay and brought lots of my own snacks for lunch and then just ate dinner on site. The restaurant food was good, but mostly pizzas and burgers/sandwiches, so I was wishing there was a bit more variety by the end of the week, but I am not a big foodie, so no real complaints. (And the veggie pizza and the Aussie burger were my favorites, so definitely give those a try if you can!) Since I did not have a car, I hired Greg from EBikes Vanuatu one day for a scooter ride around parts of the island and that was super fun! I highly recommend! Overall, I would for sure come back and probably spend 4 nights there and 2 nights in town for a bit more variety. But it was a lovely stay all in all and Kris and her mum Carollynne were fantastic hosts!

What a great property and location. We absolutely lived in the pool and the the snorkelling did not disappoint with so many varieties of fish in one location… on our door step!! So close to airport and pre shopping was a breeze! On site team were fabulous and extremely helpful when needed. We will be back for sure as it was just what we needed and all others reviews are on point!! We too wished we had booked longer!!

Wow wow WOW! Booked for a week long girls trip and had the best time. We were hooked by the photos on the listing and our expectations were far exceeded. The villa is gorgeous and the beach a paradise- we could have done nothing else but stare at the ultra blue water. A highlight of our stay was our island mum, Katia. Super responsive to messages even before we arrived, she arranged an airport transfer with a local driver and we were greeted by her on arrival. Her kindness and generosity (sharing time, knowledge, and even fruit from her garden) made the trip all the more special - thank you Katia for being so wonderful!

We had a great stay with our extended family at Namela Villa's. The Villa's were fantastic for us to have our space but come together to share meals and company. The snorkelling off the beach was some of the best in Vanuatu. We'll certainly be recommending this stay/holiday in the future to friends and family.

Excellent accommodation with a convenient check-in procedure, quick pick-up and drop-off arrangements, a friendly landlord, and good housekeeping service.

We had a great stay with our extended family at Namela Villa's. The Villa's were fantastic for us to have our space but come together to share meals and company. The snorkelling off the beach was some of the best in Vanuatu. We'll certainly be recommending this stay/holiday in the future to friends and family.

We had an amazing stay. As soon as we got there (finding it was no big problem for the local cab drivers) we were amazed by the amount of love & attention that went into decorating and furnishing the place. From medicine to cooking equipment & the bbq, everything was in abundance and made to feel like home. Courtesy of this welcoming feeling is no doubt the lovely housemaid Eva, who looked after us with amazing care. As a group of students (ages 20-24) we enjoyed the privacy of the house and its perfect blend of comfort (amazing beds, helping hands of Eva etc.) and more adventurous aspects (bumpy ride getting there, rare power-outages in the night etc.). All of us agree that this house was the core to our amazing time on Vanuatu. We would highly recommend to get a car (4x4 pickup was our choice & we did not regret it), as mobility is key on Efate. Also, if at all interested, get an ATV. Fuel is cheap & the fun priceless. Thanks to Christiana and Eva for this unforgettable time.

Our stay at Whispering Palms was amazing and as described on the wrapper. Spectacular, quiet, comfortable, relaxing. A special thank you Sylvie, John and Peter for the warm welcome, and hospitality. Their willingness to share the local culture makes the stay extra special. Thank you also to Cindy and Dean as well as Marcello for the responsiveness. Some practical advice for those staying at Whispering Palms: Cash is king (and not readily available) - Make sure you cash up in Port Vila as there are no ATM/Cash machines on that part of Efate and with the exception of some of the big resorts, cash is generally the only way to pay. Food - Go with a plan on catering for the first few nights (at least). We arrived in the evening, and although we had organised some food, we found ourselves trekking back to Port Vila for supplies for the 3rd night. Morrison has basics, there are some options in Port Havannah, but again, make sure you have enough cash for these. Absolutely loved our stay.

Our incredible holiday in Vanuatu was cut short by the earthquake (Dec 2024) but we were very lucky as the staff at paradise point went out of their way to assist us and make sure we were safe. Thank you so much and also to the driver/tour guide recommended by our host who was with us during the earthquake and helped us. The local people were so happy and friendly throughout our stay and we hope that many more people will visit Port Vila when it is safe to do so. We loved our short boat trips from town to the house and back which were affordable and a lot of fun. They are a great option and will be essential to access the house until the road is repaired.
