Pet-friendly holiday rentals in El Gigante

We loved CasAnica, it was in a great location, close to both beaches and a regular shuttle also was available to get us into San Juan Del Sur when we needed. Tony was also a great and accommodating host. We hope to come back to Nicaragua and stay again!

Such a beautiful place, love the house layout and the views are awesome… Very comfortable place with everything you might need for your stay. Rudy and Alex (Rudy’s place caretaker) are very kind and friendly people, always eager to make your stay the best they can.

Casa Makai was a true jungle paradise! The house itself was beautifully designed, even better than the photos, with comfy beds and a well-equipped kitchen. The outdoor space was amazing, perfect for relaxing in the hammock. It's a short 10min walk to Playa Maderas (great for surfing) and 3 min walk to Buena Vista Surf Club (excellent yoga). Laura was a fantastic host, very accommodating. Highly recommend!

We’ve stayed at many houses in Hacienda Iguana and this house was by far our favorite. It’s got an amazing layout and gorgeous furniture + comfortable beds. But I’ll always remember the spectacular wrap around screened in porches on both levels. We stayed with our 4 month old and it was so beautiful to give him his midnight bottle in an Adirondack rocking chair on the screened in patio off the main bedroom…precious ‘new mom moments’ under the moon, stars, with the sound of the ocean (you can hear the waves at Panga Drops surf break). The property is located directly across the dirt road from the most secluded part of the beach. We had gorgeous evening walks at low tide sunset and came home to cook dinners in the well appointed kitchen. We had coffee by the crystal clear pool in the mornings and really enjoyed being walkable to Rancho Santanas Taqueria + the cute restaurants in Iguana. Bonus: we decided to elope! Our stay at Elisha’s was lovely. She was very helpful and supportive throughout the stay. The property was beautiful and served perfectly.

The place is very pretty and the host very responsive. She provided an accommodation for the heat. The only downfall was that the water pressure in the showers was at a minimum which made it inconvenient for the amount of time we stayed.

Can't say enough about Casa Margarita. It was a wonderful trip, made even better by a communicative, helpful, engaged owner. I'm hesitant to write such a glowing review because I want it to be available when I return to Guasacate next year! It would be a fool's errand to try to encompass my thoughts, as I'd leave something important out, but it's a safe bet that you'll enjoy your stay at Casa Margarita. I'll certainly be back soon.

Definitely coming back

It was a great pleasure staying at Jimmi’s place. It took a little hike to get there, but the view is totally worth it. I loved the place and the shower was very unique. Jimmy was very responsive and extremely helpful with everything. I felt like he was right there, next to me navigating me with everything. I wish there was more hosts like him on Airbnb. I totally recommend staying at this amazing Cabana. I think it was one of the best places I stayed in when traveling around Central America.

Amazing the experience staying on Katie’s Villa, the views were unique and immaculate vibes. Spacious villa with high roof. They are the fastest replying host I have ever got, Also ask for Dennys he will help you get setup you up for anything you need in town awesome and friendly local. The location was excellent and the condo was comfortable and clean. The 2 pools were a 1 min walk. Onsite restaurants and service was great. We will be back!

A magical place for a relaxing stay away from the bustle in town. Nearby Playa Majagual is incredible, great for swimming as the little bay is quite protected, and El Ranchito, the restaurant run by Luis and his family, is awesome. Owner is very responsive. One of my favourite Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at.

The house has everything you need for a long stay. Victoria was very helpful and always available to help me find something or to answer my questions.

superb value for money. We paid about $26 per night in the rainy season. plenty of space, modern furnishings, good amenities in the kitchen. Close to the beach. Because of other reviews: Insects are quite normal in Nicaragua. If none were there, it would make me suspicious because then probably an environmentally harmful insecticide was used. Power outages are also normal. Unfortunately, we had some problems with the internet as a result, but Rosie and chilano were very helpful. Chilano also takes you to the nearest supermarket by motorbike. Drinking water is also provided free of charge on the property.

Our stay at Todd's house was refreshingly delightful. The house, with its expansive yard, was a hit with my son and pet, offering ample space for play and relaxation. Todd's swift and helpful responses to our questions made everything run smoothly. A special note of appreciation goes to his caretaker, Maximo and his family, whose genuine care and assistance were invaluable in making us feel at home. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and authentic stay. Thanks, Todd!

I loved that place. Stayed there for 2 weeks and was supposed to stay only for 1. Definetly a nice place to stay if you want privacy ! Daniel is awesome as well ! Loved him !

Thank you Luis. Great place. Cool container! Close to Gigante. Less than 20 minute walk to Playa Amarilla to surf. Nice and chill A/C. A little dark at night so plan accordingly on your walks back from town. Where you can find great views at Monkey House. Quality rental surfboards at el Tumbo. Would visit again.
