Join me, Abbey, as we go to one of my FAVORITE parks in Colorado Springs, Ute Valley Park! Here we will go on an adventurous, easy-going hike, and stop along the way to take unique and memorable professional photos in the beautiful scenery all around us! This is a group experience so you may be enjoying the park with another group. We will meet at the front of the park where we will start our adventure! From there we will start walking into the park to some of my favorite spots for taking breathtaking photos. These spots include an open field with mountain views, stunning rock formations and lastly after an easy hike up to the top of the hill, some AMAZING mountain views as our final backdrop before heading back to the park's entrance! As a professional photographer for the last 4 years, I love making each of my guests feel special and more confident when they leave then when they came. Never been in front of a camera? Don't worry, I've got you! I'll be providing posing tips and cheering you on the whole time! At the end of our experience you will leave having taken in the beauty of Colorado, some new friends, and in 7-10 days you will receive a private gallery of high quality, professional photos that you will cherish forever! *note if you are the only guest on this experience your experience length could be shorter because it won’t take us as long to make our route

We will be making one of a kind wood and resin Pocket Pipes from scratch! No kits here! Instagram/mountainpupllc This will be a similar class to wooden pocket pipes, however we use many new tools and manufacturing processes! You will start by picking out your wood blanks for your bowl as well as our hybrid stem blanks that will be assembled during our workshop, cut, carved, engraved if you like, polished and finished into something you can really be proud of. Of Course we have to try them out so feel free to bring tobacco or otherwise since this is Colorado...and give them a try! Feel free to bring a friend to observe for FREE! However seating is limited and prioritized for paying participants work order will go: -Pick your wood -Assemble the blanks with glue and clamps -Use the drill press to prep our bowls -Carve, sand, shape the pipes - take a quick beer/wine break -Engrave our pipes -Enjoy your new creation! We will be in my shop (Garage) the entirety of the work time and most of the class primarily using a rotary tool with an extension attachment (makes it like using a pen to carve/sand rather than holding the entire tool). I will have music playing and examples for ideas, like I mentioned feel free to BYOB while we work as well. Just use common sense, we will be working with power tools that have sharp bits Other things to note Any and all experience levels are welcome, I especially encourage folks who have never tried any wood working. I will always be there to help or step in if any step of the process makes you uncomfortable. I can often accommodate custom time slots as well, just shoot me a message anytime!

You will learn the basics of lampworking AKA glassblowing. The main difference is glassblowing is done with a very large oven called a glory hole, while lampworking uses a torch. This is a 4-hour class and about 1 hour is spent training you on safety and techniques. This is split up throughout the experience. You will spend about a full 3 hours on the torch playing with molten glass. In the class, we can go over basic items like an implosion or a mushroom marble, pendants, glass ice cubes, and other more simple-to-make items. Glassblowing is freaking fun and amazing, but it is not easy at the start. Be warned, you may experience too much fun, melting glass in fire is just plain cool! Another project we have been working on to incorporate is trying to make a pipe with you for a small added cost. It takes a good amount of time to make one from scratch so we have pre-made pipe slugs you can pick from so we can whip it up and potentially add a marble you made to it in a timely fashion. The pre-made slugs do cost a little extra as it takes more labor, but you get a really cool extra special piece. With this added option the teacher will be the one making the pipe towards the end of the class if not after the class so all who still need help can get the help they need. We use an ozone generator nightly to sanitize the work facility to ensure a healthy work zone

**6/5-8/1, SAT/SUN SUNRISE hikes are $10 off ($39 v $49) due to Yoga on the Rocks. The only change? You'll end at a beautiful vista for breakfast, instead of inside the amphitheater, which you can go into when the event concludes (~8 am). We'll rendezvous for a beautiful, guided, educational hike on a public trail at Red Rocks Park - followed by breakfast in the world-famous amphitheater! After intros, we'll scamper down the trail and set off on a 1.4-mile adventure, with the smallest of elevation gains (~350 feet). Throughout the ~70-minute hike, we'll share stories of the area's history - from the development of the park, to stories of the artists who have played at the amphitheater, to the dinosaurs who used to roam here. Once the hike is over, we'll give you a delicious breakfast and show you how to get into the amphitheater, where you can eat, relax and explore on your own. Prepare to break a little sweat and make your friends jealous of your beautiful photos! Quick Facts: - Can I get there without a car? There is no public transportation to Red Rocks. Uber/Lyft both run to/from the trail - half of all hikers choose this method. - Is the hike hard? This hike is rated "easy".
