Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Emmental District

Alles war wunderbar bei Judith. So eine schöne Unterkunft gibt es selten. Eine sehr herzliche Gastgeberin . Ich würde hier jederzeit wieder übernachten

Parfait pour un grand groupe de 15 personnes + 6 enfants! Un échappatoire au quotidien de la ville, surtout quand c’est un weekend caniculaire sur le plateau. Ce n’est pas le pôle nord, mais au niveau de l’isolation par rapport à la civilisation, on pourrait presque y croire. La vue est magnifique, les équipements (cheminée pour raclette, grill/brasero - les deux fonctionnant au feu de bois disponible sur place - bain chaud style nordique - qu’on n’a pas eu besoin de chauffer au vu des chaleurs du moment - et sans oublier la grande toile déployable en pressant sur un bouton offrant de l’ombre sur quasiment toute la terrasse). La cuisine en bas dispose de tous les équipements et d’assez de place si le groupe est bien organisé et rangé (ce qui n’était pas notre cas!) Il faut cohabiter avec deux vaches, les fermiers d’à côté qui y travaillent la journée (mais n’y dorment pas) et le fait que le parking soit à 3 minutes à pied, à l’orée de la forêt. Est-ce qu’on y retournerait? Oui.

Was für ein wunderschöner Ort für eine Auszeit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Aussicht genossen. Die Broschüren für Wanderungen in der Umgebung waren ideal. Keine Maus weit und breit - auch die Hunde haben nichts erschnüffelt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Es waren tolle Tage mit der Familie. Ich finde die Unterkunft sehr teuer. Aber heutzutage ist ja sowieso alles überteuert. Trotzdem, mega tolle Lage! Für Erholung perfekt- Werner ist ein sehr netter Mensch. Hat uns sogar noch einen ganzen Eimer voller Eier geschenkt-danke!

Cilene’s place was spotless, cozy, and in a great spot. She was super friendly and quick to respond. Would stay again!

She’s a really nice person, and her husband is too. They had so many stories to share with us, and it was really interesting. Loved the place and the location. I would definitely recommend it to others and would come back again if we return to Switzerland.

Me and my family had a fantastic time staying at the house, providing us with a quite getaway over the weekend. The area is quiet, surrounded by endless hills of green and perfect for walks and spending time outside. The hosts really thought about every single detail that might make the stay even more pleasant and the house it self an absolute gem. Highly recommended.

Merci pour l’accueil. C’était un séjour agréable. Le chalet est propre. Un super endroit calme avec une magnifique vue des deux cotés. L’hote était gentille. Elle a laissé les enfants nourrir les antilopes. Je recommande fortement ce chalet.

Absolutely loved our stay! The view was stunning — truly something special to wake up to every day. The trampoline was such a fun bonus, and the whole place had a peaceful, relaxing vibe. One of the best host experiences we’ve ever had — welcoming, helpful, and kind. Would definitely come back!

Really enjoyed our stay here! There were a lot of grocery stores nearby and the location was just nice because of the ease of public transport. Would recommend!

Ich habe die Unterkunft für meine Familie aus London gebucht – sie haben sich sehr wohlgefühlt. Der Gastgeber war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit, der Kontakt verlief jederzeit unkompliziert. Die Unterkunft war sauber, gut ausgestattet und ideal gelegen. Wir danken herzlich für den tollen Service und können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen !

Elisabeth always responded quickly and friendly. The instructions for the self check-in were really clear and easy to follow. It is a cute and spacious airbnb. All supplies for cooking were available. There were even coffee cups available which was the best and even a small tobleron surprise when checking in. The view on the mountains is very lovely and we really loved to sit in the garden. Would really recommend this airbnb!

Nice apartment, spacious living area, comfortable bed,nice balcony, kitchen quite small but fully equipped. Very peaceful area but only a few minutes walk to local supermarket, train station and the village pub! Thun is a short drive away or a couple of hours walk on the riverside path. The pub served typical pub meals, they were large and cheap. Annemarie and her daughter were both very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed only for one night but we wished to have stayed longer ! Christine was very friendly, the apartment is cosy, very quiet we can enjoy the view of the fields and the garden from the bedroom. Easy access by car, we could park in front of the apartment and all kitchen tools were available, plus lovely surprises (home made salts with herbs, pasta and few more things). We highly recommend for a quiet stay and to discover this region :)

Our stay at Eveline’s place was absolutely perfect – it had everything we could possibly need and more! The home was incredibly spacious, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with every comfort. From the moment we arrived, Eveline was a wonderful host, and Marion was simply exceptional – so kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The setting was magical for our family. Located on a peaceful farm, our children loved visiting the cows and even got to help feed them. A real highlight for our son was being able to take the lovely farm dog for walks – a special experience made possible thanks to Marion’s kindness. This was truly one of the most memorable and heartwarming stays we’ve had. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

What an amazing little spot and an amazing view! Waking up to an incredible view of the mountains everyday makes this place totally worth the stay. The house is very clean and organized with everything you need to cook for your family in the kitchen. Beds are very comfortable and linens are extremely clean and fresh. Located a quick drive from downtown Thun or a 5 mins walk to the train station that takes you right into downtown as well. Peaceful and quiet surroundings. Everything about our stay was perfect. Zeer aangenaam en ruim appartement. Gelegen aan het eind van een onverharde weg. Heel rustig, in de heuvels, met uitzicht op de bergen. De omgeving is landelijk en wandelingen beginnen bij de voordeur. Op een half uur rijden ligt Bern, en met een uur rijden ben je midden in de bergen van het Berner Oberland. De woning is mooi ingericht, en alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Juliane is een vriendelijke host en reageert snel op vragen. Zeker aanbevolen deze woning.

Arrivée et départ très faciles avec la boîte à clef, logement conforme à la description, parking pratique. Hôte arrangeant. Nous n’avons pas rencontré Risper mais il était réactif par message, et nous avons eu toutes les informations nécessaires. Merci à lui.

Haben uns hier wirklich so gut aufgehoben gefühlt bei Karin! Wenn es Fragen gab wurden diese sofort geklärt und die Kommunikation war stets freundlich. Die Wohnung war wie beschrieben, super ordentlich und sauber! Die Aussicht war wirklich unbeschreiblich. Sehr gerne wieder! 🤗

We really enjoyed our stay at Antoinette's place. The apartment was super clean and equipped with all necessary appliances. It also had a high chair and crib for our 5 month old - very baby friendly. The location is on approx. an hours distance from major cities like Zurich & Basel. Highly recommended :)

Die Unterkunft ist ein Bijoux und man taucht wie in eine vergangene Zeit ein - mit aktuell zeitgemässem Komfort. Die Unterkunft ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet und dekoriert und alles ist top sauber! Ann, die Mutter von Nadia ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin, offen, herzlich und unkompliziert. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und schwelge noch etwas in den schönen Erinnerungen… :-)
