A peaceful riverside retreat with a stunning view! The flowing river beside the property is easily accessible and adds a calm, refreshing touch. The indoor dining area was perfect for relaxing together, with beautiful views straight into the river. Though we couldn’t use the riverside bank dining area due to rain, the ambiance was still magical. Matheww’s hospitality was outstanding—always helpful and smiling. The food served during our stay was delicious, and the breakfast menu is a must-try, especially with the surreal river view in the background. Jasmine’s clear instructions and follow-ups made the entire experience smooth and well-organized. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind in nature with great service and a view to remember.

For a nature lover like me, Joy’s place was just perfect! The house is surrounded by trees, making it peaceful and refreshing. It was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. You get access to most of the villa, except for two locked rooms, but the space is more than sufficient and never felt restrictive. Uncle and Aunty live in the back portion, which was actually reassuring because they were always nearby if we needed anything. The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary utensils and appliances. What truly made this stay special was their warmth and hospitality. Aunty’s food was amazing - she even made North Indian dishes just for us, which made us feel at home. And Uncle was incredibly kind. When I had a minor fall and needed a doctor, he immediately arranged for a checkup and made sure I was okay. Their kindness and generosity made this place more than just accommodation - it truly felt like home. Highly recommended!

We had an excellent stay at this beautiful property! The place offers great privacy, making it perfect for a peaceful getaway. The home is thoughtfully designed and true to the pictures — clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Out of the five bedrooms, two are located on the lower floor and do not have internal access from the main house, so you need to step outside to reach them. This might be a bit inconvenient for elderly guests, especially since there are stairs leading up to the main living area. However, for the rest of us, it added to the charm and resort-like feel of the place. A special shoutout to the hosts for arranging a smooth pickup in their Pajero, which added a nice touch to our arrival. The food prepared during our stay was absolutely delicious and felt homemade — a real highlight of the trip! Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing experience. Would definitely recommend this place for families or groups looking for a serene escape!

The location couldn’t have been better—close to everything we needed while still offering peace and privacy. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to make our stay unforgettable. Emmanuel's place is a designer outhouse overlooking a 200 year old Keralan family home. It was renovated by his sister who is an Architect. We were given a tour of the main house and you can see the beauty in the architecture and antique furniture. The outhouse however could use some maintenance done to it to revive the place to it's former glory as it's a beautiful and spacious homestay. Emmanuel went beyond by setting a kitchen space for us which was useful. We had the pleasure of meeting his mum, Rani who cooked us the best meals we've had in Kerala. It was so homely and you can see her passion in the food... she also made a kaftan for my husband... reasonably charged for something bespoke and something to remember our stay by. Emmanuel is an ambitious young man whom you can have good conversations with... we had hours of chats with both of them and felt right at home so we extended our stay. There are good cafe/ restaurants nearby and Emmanuel negotiated a scooter for us.

If you like calm , peaceful places ; No hustle and bustle .-This is your place . The hosts are inviting friendly people who make you feel like family . More than a place to stay we felt that we have made new friends !

The home is exactly opposite Samasthi retreat center near the bank of Pamba river. It's a private and peaceful place with ample space in living area. The balcony and the compund area is large enough to accommodate bunch of people. I had booked the home for my wedding. The sitting room and living room space was more than enough to accommodate the priests and other guests who came in morning. Overall, I thank Jiji and his sister in law for their excellent hospitality and clear instructions during the stay.

Located on a hill with great view, fully functional kitchen for groups, very responsive host n care taker as well, 20 mins drive from vagamon town, they do have big speaker n barbecue setup n finally felt like a home. highly recommended for a group of 6-8 people. It needs basic maintenance plumbing maintenance, apart from that, everything else is perfectly functional.
