Secluded Highland Getaway

Great place in the country. Went to the Braemar Gathering, to Elgin, and to the Mountains using this as our base camp. Rooms were comfortable, but a little cold until heat came on in the morning. Kitchen is very small, but got the job done for the four of us. Beautiful country in and around Tomintoul.

Bridge Cottage on the edge of the Cairngorms.

We had a fantastic stay at Bridge Cottage. Koos and Carolyn are lovely hosts and have made a fantastic job of renovating the beautiful cottage, which has everything you will need and all the small homely details make it amazing. The log burner was great and the outdoor storage for our bikes was perfect. The welcome pack was 1st class and greatly appreciated. The location is beautiful with lots to do in the local area. We would highly recommend staying here and can't wait to return.

A beautiful home set in a even more beautiful setting! It was true moly fantastic to be so far out in the countryside with two children. House had plenty to keep them busy while we cooked in the well set up kitchen, sally was only a click away when we needed her :) helpful from the moment we booked, would definitely book to stay again.

Great place to stay if you're looking for something different. Great hosts we learned so much about the history of the accommodation and area. Very peaceful area with lovely views. Comfy and clean accommodation, had no problems and would recommend this, especially if youre looking for something unique. Instructions very clear so you wont get lost and host available if needed. Thank you!

Highland cabin

Had a brief but lovely stay. We wish it hadn’t been so close to the summer solstice so we could have taken advantage of the dark sky observatory area for some star gazing - but the location was beautiful and peaceful nonetheless. The space was much larger than we expected. Portia provided extra driving directions in advance that were super helpful, since the address doesn’t take you exactly to the cabin. Would definitely stay here again!

Unique off grid cosy farm Bothy in the Highlands.

Amazing escape from the busy world. We loved the calm environment at the bothy and the wildlife in the surroundings. Spending some days without permanent electricity and cooking on the Rayburn was a great experience to slow down during holidays

Drumurnie, cosy cottage

JosiahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Carol was a lovely host, coming personally to check in on us when we arrived and let us know the ins and outs of the place. Carol also was very responsive to questions and provided directions to the place without asking. Driving in and out of the town presents some lovely views, and the town is a great spot for doing walks in the Caingorns.

Luxury self-catering log cabin at Assich Zen Lodge

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Stephen’s zen lodge was an absolute gem. We had an incredible night here , the lodge is beautiful as are the surrounds , so cosy and Stephen has clearly gone to a lot of effort in making a folio he left us full of recommendations of things to do in the area . The whiskey, tablet and shortbread was just the icing on the cake of what was already an environment that made us feel instantly at home . Only wish we’d stayed longer . Absolutely recommend .
