"Anglesey House" Iconic Forbes CBD Heritage Home

"Anglesey House" a two storey, Late Victorian home built in 1884 in the CBD. A wealthy merchant from Anglesey in Wales, loaded two ships with finery that could not be obtained in Australia at the time. William Thomas built Anglesey House with it's seven marble fireplaces, cedar staircase, high and ornate ceilings and sandstone stables in the back garden. Although built in 1884 Anglesey has all of the facilities that are expected in a modern home. More history available in the guest guide.

I booked Heilala’s place whilst I was working Eugowra. What a great space. One of the cleanest places I’ve stayed in my three years of FIFO work. Great spot, great host. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place in the area. Plenty of room inside and out, even a nice private spot in the courtyard to set up my bbq. Great little coffee shop just around the corner too.

We loved it there definitely worth the 11 hour drive! We ran outa gas and they were there within minutes with a new bottle. They were so friendly and kind we will be coming back in the near future for sure. Also we hid a card with where’s Wally on it keep playing and hide it for the next group that come along 😁 ThankYou for letting us relax for the week it was well needed
