Z Shack is part of local history. In the 1940’s concrete barracks were built for Camp Gordon Johnston to house soldiers training for D-Day off the shores of Dog Island. Z Shack is part of what was once barracks, now a renovated condo. This unit is nestled in the middle of a row of condos with privacy fencing on both sides. Our unit is small dog friendly, but each pup visitor must be approved before booking. Sorry, no cats, we love them too but the litter box mess is too hard to keep clean.

We were extremely pleased with the Aargh House for our spring break trip. The layout of the property was within walking distance to the stores and restaurants on the island but also private enough that you didn't feel that the area was crowded. We often like to cook when we vacation and found the Aargh House as one of the best stocked kitchens from any Airbnb we rented from. We will be looking at vacationing here again.

Awesome views of the gulf from the entire back side of the house. Amazing sunrises from the deck! Just steps from the beach so no hauling your stuff a long way back and forth to the beach. House was very clean and kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of counter and storage space in the kitchen. Utility/mud room on the side where you enter was great for leaving anything sandy (shoes/towels) you didn’t want in the house. Bedrooms/baths were set up nicely for two couples. Would book again in a heartbeat.

We wanted a week of peace and relaxation and that’s exactly what we got! This home is clean, well thought out, and the beach is your backyard. We could not think of one negative thing about this place. It is well supplied with lots of beach games, bikes, kayaks and more! There are plenty of places to spread out and enjoy the sounds of the ocean, whether it’s on the beach, lying in a hammock, or watching the waves crash from the screened in porch. Not to mention the views from all windows of the house is perfect. If you’re wanting a vacation that is off the beaten path, slow, and relaxing then this is the place for you! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Great views and overall great stay at this property near Lanark Village. Bo responded quickly to any questions and the house was clean and comfortable. St. George Island is about 1/2 hour drive with miles of beaches and a lighthouse, and Crooked River Lighthouse is even closer. We enjoyed our stay!

This home was one of the best vacations we have taken as a family. Beautiful view of the bay especially in the mornings and evenings. It was breathtakingly peaceful! We had several children so the pool area was perfect for the littles especially since it is screened in. The older kids really enjoyed fishing off the kayaks and playing on the private beach! We even saw a dolphin. This home has EVERYTHING you need. Really all we needed to pack was clothes. The home was lovely and well kept. We are already planning a second trip! ♥️
