Timber Haven Chalet is a private secluded getaway for family and friends located 4 miles from downtown Lake Placid. Recent renovations of the entire home have made this a wonderful vacation spot. The location is perfect for hikers, cross-country skiers, and minutes from all Olympic venues. The main living area has hardwood floors, vaulted ceiling, a gas fireplace upstairs, TV, and a fully equipped eat-in kitchen. Double slider doors open up to the rustic large deck which boasts a fantastic view of Whiteface Mountain in winter, table with fire feature and a Weber gas grill. There are 2 bedrooms on this level with queen sized beds, dresser, and a custom built cedar lined closet armoire in each bedroom. There is a full bath on this level (updated 2024). The lower level includes a gas fireplace and a Queen Bed with a Roku TV, a full bathroom with tiled shower ans soaking tub (renovated 2024). French Doors on the lower level exit to the backyard. There is a brick patio under the deck which looks out to the backyard firepit. The property has a short pathway leading to the Jackrabbit Trail for winter cross-country skiing and connects to the Craigwood Golf Course. The home is on a 2 acre wooded lot. 4 miles from Downtown Lake Placid 1.9 miles to the Olympic Ski Jumping Complex .4 miles to the Adirondack LOJ Road and excellent high peak hiking 16 miles to Whiteface Mountain Ski Center 2.8 miles to the Mt. Comfortable apt. in its own building on 50+ wooded acres near Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, and Whiteface Mtn. Miles of walking trails. Great road biking. Large, private screened porch; Tempurpedic queen bed; full kitchen, big LR & cozy recliners. We now have covered parking for one car! We are only 20 minutes from Whiteface ski area and nearby hiking and mountain biking trails as well as lakes and rivers for swimming and paddling. There are trails on the property for walking and snowshoeing.

Riverside Cottage

Our fully equipped seasonal cottage is on the Salmon river 15 minutes north of Malone and close to the Canadian border. We can provide info on visiting Montreal as well as the Wilder Homestead, fishing and hiking trails. We have an appetizer or home made soup waiting for guests on their arrival.
