Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Frenchman Bay

My family loved our stay! The house was beautiful, peaceful, and right by the lake. There was lots to do at the with all the kayaks, canoes, paddle boards available to explore the lake. We spent a couple of days exploring Acadia, but enjoyed just staying at the house enjoying the scenario. James was also a very responsive host.

From the very beginning of our booking process, Stephanie was absolutely incredible! We had a secret wedding elopement and Stephanie made sure that we had the best experience possible for the reception we had at her place. We set up tents outside for the dinner, and spent quality time with friends and family both inside, and outside by the fire. It was a memorable and unforgettable experience thanks to Stephanie and her beautiful home. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a getaway close enough to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, and needs some peace and quiet! Her home was absolutely beautiful, we had no complaints, just all great things to say! Cannot wait to come back here again next year! (: Stephanie was very responsive and so kind! Great stay! Located on Flanders pond (5 min walk; boat launch / public beach to fish / kayak / SUP). Caught over 10 fish in one boating trip. We’ve been to Acadia before so while we did visit the park, it was awesome to have the option to hang out at the ponds/ lakes / public land nearby and go hiking / swimming / fishing. Schoodic Mountain hike (Donnell’s Pond - 10 min drive) with a 1000ft ascent has stunning 360 views and rivals (if not surpasses) main Acadia hikes. We also went to the quiet Schoodic Peninsula side of Acadia, stopped at the beaches and then hiked Schoodic Head (500 ft ascent) / Buck Cove Mountain Trail (25 minutes away). The new modern cabins have great kitchen set ups with high-end appliances, deep set sink and cuisanart pans which made cooking easy. Super comfortable beds and every amenity needed for teenagers (Multiple TVs, WiFi) etc. Fire pit, grill and screen porch also made for a comfortable stay. Owned by a super nice local family. We will be back!

Brian’s AirBnb is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The keypad check in is simple. The home is spotless. There are plenty of linens and kitchenware. The home is close to Acadia and downtown Ellsworth. If you want a short drive to Acadia and MDI, this is your place!

Great place to stay especially with young kids because they had a pack and play. The house had everything we needed. The host was great and offered us early check in which was greatly appreciated. Walking distance to town and very close drive to Acadia National Park entrances

Bendigo and Jenni were great hosts from the start. They communicated before we arrived and checked in with us regularly throughout our stay to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Their house is beautiful and looks just like the photos. Every room was meticulously clean and so lovely. The location is very private and peaceful. After a day of hiking and sightseeing it felt like coming home each evening. We would definitely book again with Bendigo and Jenni on our future trips to MDI.

Such a peaceful and charming getaway! Loved the private backyard space and all of the cute design details. Plenty of fans to keep us cool and lots of supplies/activities. The little radio speaker was great and loved that there were some guidebooks to read and games to play. The first aid kit was fully stocked too which was so handy. SO glad that we had this spot to come back to after long days in bar harbor, nice to be away from the touristy area and to have such a cozy space to unwind. The neighboring town of Ellsworth was super cute and definitely worth a visit if you stay here. Would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to visit the area.

Wonderful stay. The house has beautiful views and is very peaceful. We really enjoyed the view from the house and the beach is right in the backyard. The water is so clear you can see the bottom. Really really nice. Michael had great recommendations on what to do and where to eat before we even started our stay. He was always responsive and helpful. We had an incident where we locked ourselves out (totally our fault) and he responded in less than 5 minutes and was able to unlock the house pretty quickly which we greatly appreciated. The only thing I would note is that if you're coming solely for the main views in Acadia and to hike the most popular hikes, it did take us about 1 hour and 10 mins to get there. Winter Harbor and the Schoodic peninsula is much closer at about minutes. I would highly recommend!

Me and my friends loved this BNB!! The hot tub was amazing and the pool was an awesome addition. Instructions were clear and even called to walk me through everything. Plenty of places to sleep and loads of places to go!

this was the 3rd time our family has stayed,again we had a fantastic time! We chose to return due to the great space, a fabulous indoor pool, great kitchen and an amazing view. Great attention to details, comfortable for large families or groups and peaceful for just 2.

Adorable cottage, newly renovated. Perfect for two with an open space loft for one more. Kitchen is well stocked right down to the coffee. A good location if visiting Fort Knox, Mt. Barrie and not too far from Bar Harbor if that is on your list. Great stay, highly recommend. Beautiful view and private.

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

The cabin was extremely clean and felt like a home away from home. My husband and I highly recommend staying at Wild Acadia. It is an easy drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

We got a very rainy week in Maine but still enjoyed the beautiful, comfortable and well stocked house, views, decks and incredible garden. Beautiful restaurants, bookstores and wine and antique shops near by. Hope to return to very soon.

I recently stayed with my family at this incredible Airbnb that exceeded all my expectations. This property offered a hot tub, a pool table, and a level of privacy and tranquility that made for a truly relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was being able to watch the northern lights from the hot tub – it was absolutely magical. We spent a week in Acadia, and the location was perfect, just 15-20 minutes from Bar Harbor or the nearest town. The hosts were very responsive, and the place was fantastic for families, being both kid and pet friendly. It was a week filled with unforgettable moments, and I can't recommend this place enough!

My wife and I loved our stay in the yurts! The yurts were very clean and the host were incredibly accommodating. We also really enjoyed the fire pit, the views and the kayaks. Overall a fantastic airbnb and we would highly recommend!

We had an amazing time staying at Jay and Lisa’s cottage! It was our first time in Maine and their place was the perfect spot to stay! It was close enough to Bar Harbor while still also letting you have a relaxing and peaceful place outside of the busy city. It was also really close to some restaurants and sight seeing! This cottage had everything we needed for a nice cozy stay in Maine! Jay and Lisa were also very quick to respond whenever we had a question and were very helpful!

Our family enjoyed our second trip to Bar Harbor. Our stay at Diana’s cottage was perfect. The location was close enough to town and easy to get around the island. 10-20 minutes to most anywhere we wanted to go. The home was clean and the hosts on property were the best! The master bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The first part of our stay was chilly and it was so lovely having the fireplace in the living room and then A/C once it warmed up later in the week. We are already looking at dates for our next trip!

Spent a relaxing long weekend at the cabin. Idyllic location right on the water with plenty to do outside. We enjoyed making fires, fishing, and exploring in the canoe. Inside, the cabin was thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. Camden is nearby for a nice dinner or a stroll and shopping downtown. Acadia is also close enough for a day trip. Checkin/checkout was very straightforward, and the host was helpful and quick to answer any questions. Hope to visit again!

We LOVED our stay at Little Gem! It was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We loved being able to access Acadia from there. There were also so many great opportunities to explore the local area as well. It was amazing to come back and relax at the end of the day with a beautiful view! Nicole and Russ have thought of all of the details. They provided so many great recommendations for the area. They were always quick to respond to our questions. We could not have asked for a better stay.
