Wonderful place to stay in Unawatuna. Close to everything, easy to get bus/Tuktuk but such a peaceful environment gorgeous house and gardens. Lovely dogs who were so quiet at night. Ajith was really helpful and accommodating to extra requests. Lovely breakfast each morning.

We arrived at three o'clock in the morning and met us like family. The hosts are very attentive and helpful. If you want to stay a little in the rainforest, watch parrots, squirrels, insects, look at plants, then this place is a great place. The veranda is located, so that you can enjoy the view of the vegetation and create a sense of privacy. Breakfast deserves special attention, time can be negotiated in advance, as it was convenient for us. There was always delicious Ceylon tea, fruit shakes, and the dishes were delicious with a local feel, new and varied every day. Now about the house and its hostess. An interesting design (which is why we chose it) for three friends was comfortable and cozy in it for three friends in it. The reality was better than the picture in the app. The host responded to our requests, all of our needs were met. Intika surrounded us with care and attention. We cooked dinners ourselves, either on the grill in the yard or in the kitchen at home. The evenings were spent on the veranda. They clean the house, if we wish, also change towels. There is a washing machine, the Hostess will be happy to show you how to use the appliances. And will dry things. What made us very happy is the beach. Wide coastline, great water temperature and minimum people. Unlike the other end of the beach. 12 minutes walk, we really liked these walks, there is an opportunity to see the real life of the locals. The fruit market is 10 minutes away. The fish market is 15 minutes away. We were very satisfied with both the location and the price and of course the quality. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

We had a lovely stay in Darshaka’s property. His Mum, Veneetha cooked us varied, delicious breakfasts each day. The whole family were very friendly & helpful. We enjoyed a chilled break through this part of our journey in Sri Lanka. Thank you 😊

Madu’s place was fantastic—peaceful, quiet, and perfect for a relaxing stay. The house is fully private, with its own kitchen and bathroom, offering great comfort and independence. The host, Madu, is incredibly communicative and helpful. Whether you have questions or need assistance, he’s always reachable, either in person or via phone. One thing to keep in mind: if you want to be close to the city center, it’s about a 20–30 minute walk, as the house is situated near the second river up north. However, this also means you get to enjoy a quiet, secluded space with almost no neighbours. (bonus: you get to see some fireflies at night) If you have a scooter, getting around won’t be an issue at all!

The host is very nice and he will try his best to help you. It’s a excellent experience 🙂‍↕️

Amazing stay with the Chanaka’s. Will definitely be coming back. Located just off the main road, providing a quieter escape from the street. The family / hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Cabin we stayed at was fantastic, had great air con, shower with hot water and two double beds. Thanks for having us & see you again!

It was a beautiful stay, we could feel very home and without reservation although living in the same house with the host family (in separate Appartement of course). The Family is very very friendly and the dogs lovely and quite. We got delicious breakfast and dinner delivered to our balcony. The garden at the lake is beautiful and we felt peace to wake up with this view. We slept with open doors and fresh air and it was very quite. Everything is possible to get (dinner, scooter rental, massage, beer, airport shuttle, excursions) so it is a great service. We also especially liked that we don‘t have the feeling to have to pay for every small thing like at other places, here the kayaks, bikes and Breakfast are included in the price/for free. The neighbourhood is nice and safe. Thanks for the great stay and hospitality- we are so happyto have found this places for last enjoyable days of our vacation!

This awesome house is run by a very sweet family who are easy to communicate with and always do their best to help. The location is in a very green and quiet area away from the hustle and bustle with a beautiful Buddhist temple and green rice fields nearby with lots peacocks (and all kinds of birds) around. I stayed at this house for two months and it has been a delight.

The service is super good, the check in and check out was super easy and we could leave our bags there for the day ! They offer a free tuk tuk to the city Center! It’s a cozy and calm place , super clean and I loved the pool ! The breakfast is also super nice and you have a lot of choices !

We had a great time at Sanath's place, the beach at the doorstep is an incredible gem! The house is just by the bus stop which makes it a perfecr gateway for day trips to Galle and Hikkaduwa.

The space is perfect place to unwind. Located directly at the beach, the location is unbeatable and the large garden is also paradise. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. On the large grounds, we also got into conversation with a few regular guests who have been choosing this accommodation for many years. We absolutely understand why they keep coming back and would do the same. After a few days, we even had the feeling of belonging to the family and picked up coconuts together on our last day - that was really nice. Thanks for the hospitality and the great time! ✨

Naman’’s place is in a perfect location to explore the fort. Everything is within walking distance including bus and train stations. The staff are so kind and friendly and we appreciated everything they did for us. We stayed for drinks on the rooftop and then dinner which was delicious as was breakfast. We can certainly recommend this Airbnb to all wishing a friendly comfortable stay in Galle Fort

We had a wonderful time at Villa Sublime. Beautiful house, pool and garden. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the privacy. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the housekeeper cooked delicious food for us. Highly recommended.

We had a great few nights, wish we could stay for longer! The place was spotless and had beautiful green surroundings. The dining area was peaceful and her and her staff were delightful. I would 100% recommend!

This place is special in EVERY single way! The location is right in the middle of Galle Fort, you feel like you are right in the middle of this beautiful historical town. The villas itself though is its own urban sanctuary in the middle of the action and truly beautiful and unique in every single way! Ms. Ramya cooked us the best breakfast every morning, the food was so good we went to the fish market and bought seafood for her to make lunch for us 2 days. This stay is by far our best experience on AirBNB of all time. I truly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Galle.

True gem of a place run by 3 lovely ladies, who make you feel unbelievably welcome, from the minute you arrive. The rooms are clean, large and very comfortable and the restaurant food is exceptional. It was incredibly relaxing to sit and look out over the clear Indian Ocean; perfect for that early morning dip before breakfast. The location is ideal for Galle, Unawatuna and Dellawella beach, where you are guaranteed to swim with the turtles. We stayed for 5 weeks and enjoyed every minute we were there.

Bandu homestay/guesthouse is truely unique ... beautiful artistically painted quirky rooms & bathrooms/balconies set in a verdant lush garden of tall multi storied plants that's truely awe-inspiring conveying a natural peaceful ambience with its mangos, birds, squirrels, peacocks & even monkeys ... I couldn't stop taking photos of the place. Bandu is happy to sit & chat with you about Sri Lanka with excellent English & his wife makes the best tea in the morning & I was lucky enough to be offered curry & roti on occasion. Unawatuna is not my favourite beach but this is my "favourite" Airbnb & I will return in the future

Lovely room and Maria was super flexible with early check in as our travel plans had changed last minute. Beautiful room and we love Rio! Only consideration was that is close to the train tracks and you can hear the train passing in the morning

Speechless is an understatement. As much an art gallery as it is a villa! Architecture, design, engineering - sheer genius. Rooms are generous with space, have a shady private garden, a bath with two showers and two sinks for couples ! The pool is surrounded by vivid lush gardens, it’s deep and cool and perfect for a workout swim. The place has got numerous lounges and working places, WiFi. But most of all we fell in love with hosts Mike and Wally ! These two aren’t just hosts; they’re the heart and soul of this villa. They welcomed us at sunset with hugs that made us feel like family. World travelers and dream weavers, they’ve poured their adventures into creating a stay that’s nothing short of magical. All design, art and lush gardens done by their golden hands ! Exiting the gates is rice paddies and a temple. Surf at Kabalana - breezy 22-minute scooter ride away. Closest beach - 13 min. The place is cool and breezy on a sunny day, cosy in the rains, ambient at night. Just perfect!

I love staying here. It was very quiet and there weren’t many people, so I basically had the whole place to myself in the day whilst I did some work on my laptop. The hostess was amazing and kept bringing me cups of tea and breakfast. I felt right at home here. The communal area is comfortable and spacious and there are small homely touches like flowers and incense burning. There was air con and I had my own bathroom, which was excellent and very reasonably priced. The stay itself is a 10 minute walk from the centre, in the less western side of Weligama, so there was less bustle, which I enjoyed. Will definitely come back here when I head back down south. Thanks!

It was a relaxing stay at Michael's. The room was neat and tidy and we felt right at home during our stay. I would definitely recommend their Airbnb for any guests.

This hilltop is one of the most incredible places we have stayed at. No photos can do justice to this little piece of paradise Adam has created. The only downside is that you don’t want to leave the place at all. The bedroom is extra spacious with a private balcony, the infinity pool is huge and cool on a sunny day, the hilltop meadow is cozy and dreamy, grazed by a cute cow, daily coconuts from the estate, amazing local food cooked by the staff, Adam’s unique personality and history - is everything we wished for in search of a place to restore our souls. Closest beach is about 14 mins ride, while closest surf is about 22 minutes. The alternative route around the lake, in hills and rice paddy villages is also an experience of its own. Highly recommended, though one must understand the place is surrounded by vast jungle, hence it’s alive and semi wild. This is not a sterile resort, but an incredible villa on top of hill surrounded by wilderness. 10/10
