Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Galway

We loved staying at Ocean Crest - the property was beautiful! Ocean and sunset views from the living area. A short and picturesque walk to the village, but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful even during the busy Folk Festival. It was a serene retreat and we would love to come back someday!

Tom Jacks is in a stunning, peaceful, location with beautiful coastal views. We even spotted Dolphins, whilst eating breakfast outside! The decking area is spacious and comfortable outdoor furniture is provided,along with a BBQ. Inside, the house is very clean and quite spacious, with a log burner for cosy evenings. (Plenty of logs provided) The house is well situated for drives to the local beaches and surrounding area. Letterfrack has a good supermarket. We wouldn’t hesitate in returning in the future.

What a beautiful home, and it truly felt like home. The views are absolutely stunning—imagine seeing a 3,000 year old stone fort while washing dishes and the ever changing colored sea right out the front windows. Bernie is the perfect host and her communication is instant. We hope to return!

Steven's cottage is absolutely beautiful and charming. The cottage was spotlessly clean and every detail is perfect. The setting is peaceful, with only the singing of blackbirds filling the garden. We visited Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey, which is a beautiful drive away. We just loved our stay! Thank you so much, Steven!

House is beautiful and very comfortable! All the amenities we need and super clean. The view and surrounding scenery are amazing. We walked 3 1/2 miles to town on Sky road each morning and saw donkeys, Connemara ponies, jack rabbits and pheasants. Wonderful restaurants in town. Great hike up Diamond Hill in nearby National Park and swam in ocean at beautiful Dog’s beach. Amazing place for a relaxing and fun vacation!

We had a really good time at Connie's place. The hut and the garden around are beautiful and Connie is a lovely host. She makes sure you feel home straight away- she even baked delicious cupcakes and put fresh flowers!!!:) In the kitchen you find everything you need and the place is very clean! If you are in the burren area, make sure not to miss this place!!

Our stay was absolutely lovely. The location is remote, yet within 15 minutes of a village with great pubs. The cottage was exactly as described and the views on the walk suggested to us were breathtaking. If you are looking for a peaceful place with excellent hosts, you should book this immediately!

Helen and Ronan are everything you could hope for in hosts—exceptionally communicative, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. The personal touches and thoughtful local recommendations made a world of difference. We dined at Fawn, a nearby restaurant they suggested, and the food was absolutely divine. I even got to meet the local horse on arrival, which added a charming touch to the experience. If I’m ever in the area again, I’d return in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

Nous avons passé un super séjour chez Terry, qui a été un hôte hyper réactif et compréhensif. Le logement est parfait, simple et fonctionnel avec une vue magnifique sur la mer. Quelle chance de vivre dans un endroit pareil. Terry et sa femme sont charmants, discrets et à l'écoute. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir..

The location was in the heart of pubs and restaurants. Easy and convenient parking garage. The apartment was perfect and had everything I needed for a 3 day stay in Galway. The area is noisy due to all of the pubs and restaurants but ear plays were offered and I used them except for the night I was out making noise as well!

We had such a lovely stay here everything was perfect and clean and it’s so central. All id say to be aware of is that the fire alarm is very sensitive - we were cooking pasta one night and I think the steam triggered it - just something to be aware of if you’re planning on cooking big meals!

Olivia hat uns am Tag vor der Anreise Bilder vom Haus und genaue Erklärungen geschickt, wie wir das Haus finden, wo die Schlüsselbox ist und so. Als wir ankamen waren wir vom ersten Moment an total begeistert von der Wohnung, sie war genau wie beschrieben eingerichtet. Sehr schön, Küche, Bad und Schlafzimmer sind zufälligerweise genau wie unser Einrichtungsstil zuhause gewesen. Das hat uns sofort ein „Zuhause-Gefühl“ gegeben. Die Wohnung war überdurchschnittlich gut ausgestattet. Es gab mehrere Sorten Tee, Duschgele, Shampoo, Conditioner - Handseife von Rituals, es gab adapterstecker & Haarspray, zusätzlich eine schöne kuschelige Wolldecke. Olivia haben wir am Tag der Abreise persönlich kennen lernen dürfen und haben ein sehr sympathisches und angenehmes Gespräch mit ihr geführt. Wir würden die Wohnung und Olivia als Vermieterin jederzeit empfehlen. Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen.

This place looked just like the pictures - actually it was bigger than we expected!! Beautiful location, super clean. Full kitchen was perfect for any kind of cooking we wanted to do. Absolutely lovely and would return!!

a lovely apartment with everything you might need. Slept very well with the firm matress and quality bedlinen. Good shower pressure and lots of towels in bathroom. The pizza downstairs in the bar was so good that we had it 2 nights in a row. Really friendly and helpful staff in the bar who gave us plenty of recommendations for the area. The pub was full each night but we didn't have any issues with sound or noise from below. Highly recommend staying here.

A hospedagem foi simplesmente perfeita! Sally foi muito querida conosco o tempo todo, sempre atenciosa e prestativa. A gente adorou o cuidado e o carinho com que ela preparou tudo pra nossa estadia. As cadelinhas são umas fofas e foi uma alegria conhecê-las! Também amamos as dicas que ela nos deu sobre Galway — fizeram toda a diferença na viagem. Gostaríamos muitíssimo de voltar um dia. 💛

Irish hospitality at its best. Our hosts were lovely, bringing us freshly laid eggs most days and usually around at the end of the day for a friendly chat. The location was great, we loved our evening strolls along the beach. We hope to return someday.

We had an amazing stay! The place was just as described; was very neat and clean and Gerard provided clear instructions for how things worked (shower, stove, etc). It had everything we needed for our week long stay. The location was perfect, right in the center of everything local that you could want to do and an easy walk to get on buses or trains to take longer trips / things to do. Gerard was such a great host! He had a straightforward and clear check-in process, provided some great recommendations for us, checked in just often enough to be sure we had what we needed, and was flexible on some check out options we might need. Would definitely recommend Gerard and this location. We'd book here again if we are ever needing to stay near Galway.

Marion was a lovely and attentive host. She gave us very clear instructions on how to find her place. She checked in on us throughout our stay to make sure we were doing ok. Her hideaway is very peaceful and situated in a great place for exploring the west coast of Ireland. We had a great time and would love to return!

Jackie’s place was lovely and spotlessly clean! We didn’t need to contact Jackie much because everything was very straightforward and informative! The position of the home couldn’t be better for the places we wanted to visit especially Galway! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jackie’s place to anyone. Thank you Jackie!

Seamus was a great host and was always super responsive. The Airbnb was clean, had good amenities and the instructions were easy to follow. Only thing was that the area lacked good restaurants, but nothing that couldn’t be solved by the Spar around the corner & the hobs provided. The beach is only a 5 minute drive away which was an added bonus.

Perfect place to stay in Galway! The location was great! The apartment was equipped with everything we needed and so much closet space. An updated kitchen and bathroom with high end finishes and appliances made living there a breeze. I can’t recommend this place enough! We hope to be back some day!

This was such a quaint and charming apartment in a very quiet area just a few minutes walk from all the action. Could not have asked for a better location! Walkable from the rail/bus station and everywhere else you want to go. Very cute place, has everything you need. The Hooked restaurant next door was also wonderful and convenient (they do take-away too). Thanks so much Ollie and Mary for the excellent stay :)

We had a great stay in peaceful surroundings. Julie was friendly and welcoming and the place had everything we needed. Special thanks for my mum’s birthday treats! We would recommend staying here.
