Holiday rentals with a patio in Gaula

Great place and good location. Supermarkt and bakery very closeby. Nice house, big kitchen. Host also helped us with arranging a ride from the airport.

I really enjoyed my stay. Wouldn't hesitate to come back. It's a very quiet and very well located accommodation. Perfect for the last or first days on the island given its proximity to the airport.

This is a beautiful place! The pictures did not do it justice. It was open and spacious, we felt relaxed the minute we stepped in! We traveled with our 3 adult children and we had plenty of space. There were a lot of extra touches-fresh flowers, a cooler to use, swim towels, complimentary cake and wine, and blankets for use out on the patio. The parking was convenient as we rented a car for travel on the island. We took the path to town and wish we would have done this earlier to enjoy the beach. wonderful stay. clean and tidy

We had a wonderful stay in Peng’s flat. The flat is furnished very well, has a beautiful view from a big balcony and a usable swimming pool in the yard. I can surely recommend this Airbnb! Peng was endeavoured to ensure our stay is flawless at all time and gave lots of recommendations for activities in the area.

We were welcomed immediately very friendly by Connie, who gave us great tips for the restaurants in the neighborhood and some fresh vegetables from the garden. Connie and Johnny are always available for any questions, yet you have total privacy. The view is amazing, day and night. All furniture is from the highest quality, fully equipped kitchen, a perfect bed and an awesome bath. Worth every cent, just book it and you will have a dream vacation!

We stayed here for 9 nights as a couple and were absolutely thrilled. Communication was excellent, even before the booking – friendly, smooth, and very helpful, which gave us a great feeling right from the start. The apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished with high-quality amenities – nothing was missing. A real highlight were the balconies and the stunning rooftop terrace – perfect for relaxing! We were also able to use the parking space after arranging it in advance, which was very convenient. Grocery stores and great restaurants are within walking distance – the location is ideal. We felt completely at home and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

The villa was beautiful - stunning location - and perfectly furnished. Lovely walk to Ponta do Sol village but the walk back is not for the faint hearted - Bolt is available :-) Whilst there were a few teething issues on arrival, Rita was super responsive and helpful in sorting any problems and our stay was great. It was a lovely stay in a stunning villa with amazing views and we would love to come back.

Absolutely stunning stay! The views were like something out of a postcard—so picturesque, we almost didn’t want to leave. The house was spotless, and every detail was thought of: towels, blankets, shampoo, even spare wood for the outdoor barbecue. There’s AC in every room (though we didn’t need it), plus a washer, dryer, and plenty of supplies like soap and dishwasher pods. The host was incredibly responsive and attentive at all hours. The garage was a bonus, especially in the rainy weather, giving us extra comfort. The area itself is very peaceful and quiet, yet only a short 7-8 minute drive to cafes, restaurants, and shops. If I ever return to Madeira, this is where I’ll stay—no question.

This chalet is absolutely beautiful! It was exactly as pictured - if not more lovely in person. It was peaceful, clean, and so cozy! We enjoyed making a fire in the fire place when it was cold and rainy. Ana was so responsive and let us check in early and was helpful giving directions and gave great recommendations for places to eat. Hot shower, comfortable bed, washing machine, full kitchen - everything you need! There are, however, some pros and cons with the location to consider. This is a remote property in a small village - which is what makes it so pretty, unique and peaceful. It’s also off the main road on the way toward Pico de Areiro which is great if you’re spending time in this location hiking, canyoning, etc. However, keep in mind it’s very remote. I really did not like driving back there late at night and was a little uneasy sleeping there at night because it felt so remote - but if that doesn’t bother you, I couldn’t recommend this place enough! We would stay again!

We had an amazing stay at this adorable Santana cottage! The view was beyond stunning. The hosts are fantastic. They gave us a welcome basket and provided information about hikes and local restaurants.

Our stay at this Airbnb was absolutely perfect! We were so impressed by the peaceful and quiet location, which allowed for a truly relaxing getaway. The property itself was of exceptionally high quality and very well-furnished, making us feel right at home. We genuinely had everything we needed and more. The heated pool and whirlpool were a fantastic bonus, providing a luxurious touch. To top it all off, our host, Jorge, was incredibly responsive and friendly, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. We highly recommend this Airbnb!

Bernardo and his wife are very warm and helpful hosts who make you feel very welcome. I was even greeted with a typical Madeira cake and mangoes from their own tree. The terrace offers a beautiful view of the sea and the accommodation has everything you need. The house is a bit noisy, but if you are a light sleeper you can help yourself with earplugs. I would highly recommend the accommodation and would come back at any time.

We loved our stay. It felt like our own peaceful oasis, with a stunning view of the ocean and Funchal. Patricia was a great host and we loved chatting with her dad too. Walking distance to Funchal, with great restaurant recommendations from Patricia. Would definitely come back!

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Funchal. The space was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. Perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location was ideal: quiet but still within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the waterfront. Check-in was smooth, and the host was welcoming and responsive throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Madeira!

Vasco was a wonderful host. Our only contact was really checkin and checkout process as we had no issues during our entire month stay. The apartment was clean with a well equipped kitchen and is as photographed. We booked this apartment because of the view which really is exceptional! Added benefit of seeing port so we always knew when cruise ships were docked so we could plan accordingly. Location provides easy access to highway in either direction. Comfortable walk to old town but return by bus is recommended. Rental car to tour the rest of the island is also recommended. You do need to be skilled driver as narrow hill roads are no joke. We walked to local Padaria Pastelaria Mariazinha for coffee and pastries. Highly recommend for digital nomads/long term stay. Very quiet neighborhood and always felt safe. We brought earplugs because of previous dog barking comments but never used them. Recommend if you want authentic experience. Had a great stay.

Gorgeous spacious apartment walkable to everything in downtown Funchal - restaurants, shopping the water, musicians in the restaurant area were so fun! (Not near the house). All of Funchal seems to have some construction especially behind this building but I suspect u can’t escape that anywhere in Funchal. Otherwise it was a fantastic apartment and would definitely rent there again. Hosts were wonderful

This condo was beautiful, clean, and had an amazing view. Plenty of seating, close to a grocery store and many restaurants. The infinity pool which looked over the ocean was lovely. We would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely time at Robert‘s place. Robert lives in the same house and was really friendly - he gave us tips for hikes and even handed us some herbs from his garden for some infused water. The appartment was nicely furnished and had everything that was needed. The views from the terrace for breakfast are amazing too! :)
