서나와 할아버지 통나무집_햇님에 오신걸 환영합니다. 햇님의 주제는 두가지에요. 첫째는 "공작산 바라기"랍니다. 한국 백대 명산의 하나라는 공작산과 그 위의 하늘을 방안에서 마주 보고 싶어서 벽을 사선으로 깍아 만들었어요. 둘째는 "숨, 쉼"이에요. 머무시는 분들의 몸과 마음이 편안히 숨, 쉼 하실 수 있길 바라는 마음으로 방안을 아무런 칠을 안하고 편백나무로 마감했어요. 또 막지 않을 수 있는 곳은 최대한 막지 않아서 최대한 넓은 느낌, 어디든 다 통하는 느낌을 자아내고자 했어요. 햇님은 이런 주제로 씽크대 하부장과 탁자 세트를 빼고는 모두 서나 아빠가 직접 만든 집이랍니다. 햇님의 자랑인 전망창이나 데크에 편안히 자리잡으시면 공작산과 그 위 하늘에서 펼쳐지는 구름과 바람의 춤을 즐기실 수 있을 거에요. 새들과 풀벌레가 조잘 거리는 소리와 가만히 귀 기울이면 들리는 길 건너 냇물 소리도 맘을 편하게 해드릴 거구요.

‘골말가’의 탄생은 1938년으로 거슬러 올라갑니다. 86년의 세월을 견디어 온 목조 구조는 일부 무너진 곳도 있을 만큼 손봐야 할 곳이 많았습니다. 한옥 기둥과 보는 최대한 원형 그대로를 살렸고, 도저히 살릴 수 없는 부재만 일부 교체하여 과거와 현재가 목구조에서 함께 어울리게 하였습니다. 실내의 모든 공간은 외부 마당과 시각적으로 소통될 수 있도록 신경을 썼습니다. 넓은 욕실 공간은 이 집에서 가장 아늑한 곳이 되도록 설계하였습니다. ‘골말가’에 머무르는 동안 과거와 현재의 만남을 체험하시기를 바랍니다. ‘골말가’의 역사, 주변 맛집, 술집, 카페 정보에 대한 안내서를 비치해 두었습니다. 2023년 1월말 한옥체험 숙박업으로 정식 오픈하였습니다.

Daegwallyeong-myeon, known for its heavy snowfall, transforms into a wonderland blanketed with white snow during winter. It is home to Alpensia and Yongpyong Resort that serve as the stage of Snow Festival. My house was the official lodging of the organizing committee of the Olympic Games in Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics. They loved our accommodation very much.
