Today, it is a private Estate with big jungle trees, about 4km of trails, fruit orchards and beautiful gardens. The house has been fully renovated and is welcoming and comfortable. A large wrap-around terrace looks out toward Volcán Barú and La Amistad Park. Hacienda Viva offers a setting to slow down and reconnect. The home is completely off the grid, generating its power from solar, and has many modern conveniences including full size fridge, industrial stove, solar hot water, wifi and a brand new dipping pool off of the deck.

Casas Colorado, is located in Cabo Matapalo at the tip of the Osa Peninsula, surrounded by tropical rainforests and within walking distance to three spectacular beaches; Pan Dulce, Backwash, and Matapalo by walking. (Wifi has been spotty lately) We are featuring the Garden House, which you are welcome to enjoy anything that is in season from the garden, including; ginger, turmeric, lemongrass, and a variety of other edibles. This beachfront house is located on Matapalo Beach and overlooks Cabo Matapalo's world class right hand point break. This is one of the few homes in the area with a refreshing ocean breeze as well as scarlet macaws and sloths who frequent surrounding almond trees. Whales, dolphins, and sea turtles are also commonly sighted from Matapalo beach. Please note that due to rough waves and rocky coastline Matapalo Beach is not ideal for swimming.
