L’emplacement est parfait, en plein cœur de Pavones. La maison dégage une véritable poésie, avec son ambiance cabane et ses vieilles planches de surf en décoration. Les grandes chambres sont très agréables. Moshe est chaleureux et nous aura bien fait rire !!

Chez Carlos, nous avons été complètement plongés dans la nature, à vivre au rythme des magnifiques mangroves environnantes. Carlos est un hôte discret, très aimable et plein d'attention. Paola est une merveilleuse cuisinière qui nous a régalés de plats traditionnels pendant notre séjour. Carlos et Wilson nous ont emmenés traverser les mangroves en kayak, et nous ont accompagnés faire une très belle marche dans la jungle environnante. Nous avons adoré séjourner chez Carlos, le calme, la vue magnifique depuis la terrasse, c'était magique. Merci beaucoup!!

Mein Aufenthalt bei Anabell war perfekt. Es ist sehr ruhig, man kann ausgezeichnet entspannen! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat mich positiv umgehauen! Anabell und ihre Familie sind überaus nett und hilfsbereit. Von der Unterkunft erreicht man in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß einige Supermärkte. Der Bus von und nach San José hält direkt vor dem Haus. Die Gegend um Sabalito, San Vito, und Agua Buena ist wunderschön und sehr gut zum Wandern geeignet. Mit dem öffentlichen Bus (Cepul) kann man auch sehr entlegene Orte gut erreichen. Ich habe unter anderem eine Nachttour gemacht, bei der ich einzigartige und endemische Spezies gesehen habe. Auf meinen Wanderungen, in Fila Tigre und von San Vito nach San Francisco über die Bergkette habe ich zahlreiche Vogelarten und Echsen sowie Frösche gesehen. Besuchen Sie diese Gegend um Coto Brus, denn sie ist sehr von netten Menschen geprägt! Überall wird man gegrüßt und herzlich empfangen.

really calm peaceful and beautiful oasis. full of outdoor spaces and nature. easy walk from the airport. the airport is very quiet. easy access to all local amenities. Andrew and his lovely family couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. strong recommend

We used Vistadrakelodge to stay in Drake Bay on our way to and from an overnight trip to Corcovado Preserve. We stayed a relaxed extra day after, swinging in the hammocks on the deck overlooking the sea. It had lovely views of the sea, birds and monkeys in its gardens and trees. And much enjoyed air conditioning! Emilio was great, met us at the boat from Sierpe to take us up the short hill from the beach, even though it would have been an easy 5 minute walk. He offered to take us to his farm to walk in nature but we were too tired to take the offer. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. He can also help arrange local boat tours and arranged our return trip back to Sierpe. Easy walk to several restaurants in town and the beach.

C'est tellement plus simple et agréable d'avoir une personne qui parle le français et qui s'occupe de tout (réservation bateau, sorties....). Toujours disponible et arrangeant, le top 👍.

From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was special. Having had travelled much of Costa Rica already, this was our favourite accommodations because of how unique, immersed in nature and accommodating the staff were! You are literally amongst the monkeys, birds, flora and other fauna. The outdoor bathrooms are unlike anything I've seen with waterfall showers and clean (no bugs)! The food 👌🏼 Wow - we arrived late but we're famished and we're treated to an incredible lunch (and dinner a few hours later). Thank you for an incredible experience!

Super mooie plek in Pavones. Alle surfspots liggen in de buurt. Dus fijne plek om korte maar zeker ook langere tijd te verblijven want je voelt je hier snel thuis. De open keuken met gezellige bar bij het zwembad in de tropische tuin werkt perfect om wat eten klaar te maken. En top dat de koffie daar ‘s morgens vroeg al klaar stond ☕️ thanks David en Gootje!!

Het was echt een heerlijke plek met een lekker zwembad en vlakbij het (surf) strand. De kamers waren netjes en ruim met super lekkere (warme) douche en privé buitenruimte. We konden elke dag vanuit de kamer van de zonsondergang genieten. Bij het zwembad was een fijne keuken die we konden gebruiken waar we konden koken en eten. Alles was helemaal nieuw en overal was over nagedacht, by far het mooiste huis in de omgeving. Margot en David zijn super vriendelijk en deden er alles aan om ons verblijf nog beter te maken. Wij raden deze plek zeker aan!

This place was beyond my wildest dreams. After having traveled all around the world, I have never stayed at a place so unfathomably beautiful, so seamlessly connected to the natural world around, and so ready to welcome anyone and everyone into the loving, easy care of Costa Rica's pura vida. Literally next door to Corcovado National Park, easily within reach of Caño Island, and far enough from Drake Bay to feel like you're off the beaten tourist path. Even *getting* to Ocean Forest is an adventure worth having, whether by boat through old mangrove forests and along rugged coastline, or by 4x4 across two rivers and dense jungle. And upon arriving, the remoteness creates a sense of oneness with other travelers and the staff alike. Everyone feels like they are in on a really, really good secret. Where we stayed was elegant, simple, and in touch with the nature around: fresh sheets, delicious and accommodating meals, and beautiful places to reflect, swim, surf, wander, or practice yoga.

Ronald and Marilyn represent all the reasons why we love travel and Airbnb! We had just visited the major parks in Costa Rica and thought that La Gamba would be a nice respite between Manuel Antonio and the Panamanian border. We didn't know that this would be a highlight of our adventure! The breakfast was amazing and we were visited by a plethora of exotic jungle creatures! The hike in the park was absolutely beautiful and unlike the big parks, free! The hosts, and their beautiful grandchildren, are really what made the stay epic, however! We sang, and danced, and laughed, and celebrated life! After Ronald drove us to our bus stop, we thanked him profusely. Little did we know that he was watching over us to ensure safe passenge. As our bus arrived, he came up and wished us well! Their kindness and consideration is most amazing! All the Very Best!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Canto del Tucan!! Melanie and her family are the perfect hosts and make you feel right at home! The place is very cozy, clean, and just as described in the listing. There's a beautiful landscaped yard where we saw tons of color birds, and there were super sweet pups to play with. Melanies family prepared a delicious breakfast with fresh cold coconut water for us!! We loved every minute, and really made us feel at home. We will absolutely stay again when we are visiting the area! Pura Vida!!

I have no words to descrive this place. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Much more better than the pictures. Carlos is really welcoming. The food is very good at a very affordable price. Carlos answers very quickly and he will provide help if you need. I wont recommend enough this place. Its far in costa rica and maybe a bit difficult if youre going around in bus like me but i dont regret it at all. I even book an extra night because i didnt want to leave and just stay there to enjoy this place. Yes you can go to Corcovado park which i did but walking around there was better. I dont know what the rest of my trip will be but im pretty confident this place will be the highlight of it. Do yourself a favor and book at least one complete day just staying there, going for a hike maybe kayaking. This place is wonderful, so authentic, very private, a lot of nature and birds. Beautiful location, room was as described. No communication from the host, although I didn't ask any specific questions. Location is off of a dirt road behind two different restaurants you can use to access it, so it was a little difficult to find at first since Google maps just left you on a road with no access. View from the room was amazing and the accommodation was very confortable.

Superbe endroit. Nous avons eu la possibilite de voir des Aras sur le terrain. Hôte très accueillant. Bon petit déjeuner pas cher. Bien situé. Il n'y a pas de laveuse tel qu'il était mentionné dans la fiche.

Thank you for the special attention that you offered to every guest; the staff is very kind and our dog “Hugo” enjoy a lot the manglar. The breakfast was very good and easy to pay for other stuff.
