Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Goodhue County

House is very clean and big. The house has very little clutter and an absolutely FANTASTIC view of the lake. Would be an excellent and spacious place to host a large number of people - you might be able to feed 15 people in the very large updated kitchen. Only drawback is a close proximity to a busy street that dampens the enjoyment of the outdoor space. Road noise was not noticeable indoors though. Again - STUNNING view of the lake and marina from the living room.

Patricia’s place was perfect for our group! Three very spacious and comfortable bedrooms. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. We especially enjoyed outdoor family meals in the lovely private backyard to start and end our days. Other highlights include lounging in the backyard, gathering around the fire pit, sitting in the beautiful outdoor sauna, and enjoying a movie in the living room. The area is very walkable to downtown shops, coffee and ice cream. There are several casual restaurants but we opted to cook. The fishing was also great on lake pepin and Patricia’s back patio was equipped with a gas grill which was perfect for our fish dinner. We will definitely return to Lake City and welcome the opportunity for future rentals at Patricia’s lake house. Her place is top notch and one of the nicest rentals we have stayed in for our summer family trips!

The view was outstanding and the host was great: very responsive, great with "housewarming" provisions, etc. The accomodations were comfortable for our 3-generation group of 10. The driveway was a bit scary (but that comes with the view!). For us it seemed like off-season, and so the prices seemed a bit high, but for all those ice-fisherman (we had no idea that it would still be going strong), I suppose it was still high season. Two of our group managed to get out for a run 2 out of the 3 mornings we were there. But be aware there is no shoulder on the highway right at the house. We enjoyed the shops that were open in the town of Stockholm, and walking out on the river/lake there. We also enjoyed a hike up at Maiden Rock bluff trail.

We had a wonderful stay at this lake house! The house is spacious, clean, and well stocked. There are ample bedrooms, nice bathrooms, and a large kitchen with plenty of counter space and seating. Feels very comfortable and homey. All directions and communications were clear and helpful, and hosts provided recommendations for local dining, shopping, and recreation. Hosts were responsive and friendly. Overall, a wonderful place to stay and a great location in relation to Lake Pepin.

We came up from Omaha to fish Pepin . location was perfect and having a garage to lick the boat in at night saved a lot of work not having to secure my tackle!

The Maiden Rock property was so beautiful and peaceful. Great location right on the Rush River with tons of wildlife within view of the house. Very relaxing and exactly as described, if not better.

We had a great time and really enjoyed the house! It’s centrally located, yet quiet at night, and the neighbors we ran into were very friendly. Our kids loved the heated pool (and the amazing pool toys!), and it was great being so close to the lake - each morning we walked the path/sidewalk to spot eagles and other wildlife. One night, we built a bonfire in the solo stove - super fun. Beau was also very communicative and responsive. Definitely a trip to remember!

Great visit to a great little City. Pool was open and clean - which the kids loved. Felt nice and clean and newly remodeled.

Great place and beautiful view of the lake!

The home was the perfect size and accommodation for our group! The view and the yard are spectacular. We all had a great time catching up. Just a couple things to note. Ubers, lyfts, and local taxis are not easily accessible, especially if you have a dinner reservation to make. The second is that you are expected to wash, dry, fold, and put away towels before check out, which we had never heard of having to do before, particularly with a higher cleaning fee. We honestly probably would have brought our own towels if we had known this. Overall we really enjoyed our time here!

Jodi gave us good recommendations when it came to activities and restaurants. Good location. We enjoyed our stay at her cabin.

The place is quiet, clean, and stocked with more than you’d expect. Though it’s a small space, it’s very well maintained. We happened to visit on an unusually hot day and had some issues with the circuit breaker tripping, but Nicole and her husband went above and beyond to help resolve it. I’d love to return another time to fully enjoy the thoughtful experience they’ve created with a pure heart.

Wonderful home and a great place to hangout with the family and enjoy the outdoors. The owners were great! Received a message a couple days ahead with helpful information of the house and the surrounding areas! Thank you for allowing to stay in your home! Highly recommend! :)

I cannot thank Karla, Steve and Abbie enough for the joy and peace that we experienced while staying at their beautiful farm in Hampton. We had a tour and learned how they care for all the animals. We got to brush the horses, hold the many kittens, and feed the goats and chickens. There were places to sit down and relax in the breezy sunshine, watch the birds and soak in the peaceful pastures. We didn’t want to leave. Thank you, Karla and Steve, for sharing your farm with us.

The space was perfect for our weekend in Red Wing! Easy walk to everything we needed and wanted!

We had a great time staying on the houseboat! It was very nice to sit on the river-side deck or top deck right on the water, and the gas fire pit was a big plus on chilly nights. They met us to show us around the boat and show where it was, which was very helpful as not everything is obvious as to how a houseboat functions. Cozy and cute, and we loved exploring Red Wing! We enjoyed hiking the Barn Bluff, Anderson Center for the Arts, Red Wing Shoe Store/Museum, and some yummy restaurants in Red Wing.

It really worked well for us to use this cottage as a home base for exploring this beautiful area! Would suggest letting people know that many businesses are closed M-W - we love the Stockholm Pie and General Store which was open and excellent :)
