Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Government Camp

We stay at this property once a year. The property and location are both amazing, but the responsiveness and consideration of the host is what keeps us coming back year after year. If you do manage to find a comparable property I can guarantee you will not find comparable hosts. They're amazing!

This stay was everything we needed. It was peaceful, relaxing, clean, beautiful, and gorgeous! The river front property allows you to hear the river with the windows open for relaxing white noise at all times. The landscape was beautiful and the house was so comfortable. Allison was kind and left very clear instructions. She was also quick to respond and help us out when we needed it! HIGHLY recommend!

Incredible stay! We enjoyed every bit of it from dinners on the balcony, hanging by the river, hot tubbin’, cold plunges, and sauna time!

Micheal’s place on the Sandy River was everything promised. It was very spacious and accommodated the 13 of us, including 3 toddlers, so well. A short walk takes you to the Sandy River, a short drive to Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood for snow play. Many beautiful hiking trails are close also. I didn’t realize this is also set up as a wedding venue. Pressure is on our oldest and his love to tie the knot here! The convenience of the Portland airport nearby meant our family could spend our time together instead of on the road traveling to where we live. We highly recommend Micheal’s place.

My partner and I enjoyed our weekend at the cabin. The kitchen was well stocked, and had everything one would need to cook! Hot tub was great, and the bed was comfy.

Mark’s mountain cabin was perfect! Beautiful wooded location in a quiet neighborhood, with amazing proximity to a thousand trails. It was absolutely perfect for our long weekend getaway. Loved the kitchen and deck - we hit the Hoodland Farmers Market and grilled/cooked every night we stayed. Heated floors in the bathroom were a nice touch! Super cute, clean, and comfortable overall, and very dog friendly! We do not have dogs, but 10/10 recommend this spot for anyone who does. Really thoughtful touches everywhere, for both people and pets. We had a mishap that was sheer bad luck during our trip, and Mark was incredibly helpful and responsive. I would recommend him as a host just as much as his cabin. We will definitely be on the lookout for this gem the next time we want to escape to the Mt Hood wilderness!

Great place to stay if you’re planning on a trip to Mt. Hood and the surrounding area!Dean was a terrific host, kind and responsive. The home is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. The location is better than anticipated as it’s a very short drive to local dining and shops. Would recommend to friends and family and will be returning ourselves in the future! If you’re looking for a spot to stay in this area.. this is the place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars

Dream in the woods! Had a wonderful stay and was unable to completely unwind. Quiet, serene, and relaxing.

This was a great spot for spring skiing at timberline. It’s <5 minutes from summit pass parking and about 20 min from the lodge. It was a comfortable spot to rest and cook after a day of activity. One really nice feature I was pleasantly surprised at was the river/forest area in the back, which provided a peaceful soundtrack while on the deck and while falling asleep. I’d stay again - thanks Nat and Nadja!

We absolutely love staying at The Foxglove! Aaron is a wonderful host, the house is full of great items to make you feel right at home. The kitchen is stocked with all the items you need to cook at home, and the layout is great for us! We both work remotely and are able to set up offices, as well as have a space for relaxing and enjoying a good movie, or cozy up with a book. We are repeat vacationers to the area and always try to stay at Aaron's home if it is available. Thank you for another great stay!

The Rhodi House was perfect!! From the wood burning stove and hot tub to all of the big windows, it was so cozy, and the perfect escape into the woods. Riley was also very communicative and kind. We would definitely stay here again!

Great house, great location and sparkling clean! At first, we were thinking that there is nowhere to walk our dog. We like very long walks at least three times a day. Next day we found the pass to the other part of the neighborhood with unlimited amount of trails along the river and in the forest. It is just couple minutes away from the house. Our favorite forest entrance is the one dedicated to Ladybug dog. It is a very nice pass to the river. The living room has big enough table for the board games nights. I see that some people complain about the mattress. It is memory foam one. You either like this type or you don’t in general. It worked perfectly for me, though my husband complained it is too soft for him. Kids really liked upstairs beds. The house also equipped with everything for the dogs. We didn’t need it as we bring everything for our pup as we travel a lot and many houses don’t have dog items. You will find: bowls, towels, poop bags, etc. Thank you for having us!

Steal of a deal 👌🏽 Extremely reasonably priced! Right on a golf course, peaceful and friendly vibe around the property. No fancy bells or whistles in the unity, but a very homey space that had many thoughtful touches. Mike and Betsy were beyond accommodating and responded quickly to my messages. We would 100% stay here again!

We had an incredible stay at Kelly’s cabin. It was way more spacious than we even expected from the pictures which was a nice surprise. It was extremely clean and comfortable. There are a couple flights of stairs (if you’re traveling with a baby or someone elderly) but was totally fine for us. The location is very convenient. It was so nice that snowshoes and hiking poles are provided, though the trails were packed down enough that we didn’t use them. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cabin or book another stay here!

Nice cabin in a great spot by a creek. Enjoyed having a bonfire and having plenty of sleeping areas. We were all very comfortable. Wish we could have stayed there longer to enjoy the hot tub as well. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location was private, tucked away from the road, and convenient to so many great hiking spots and outdoor adventures. The hot tub was a perfect touch and, again, very private. We would definitely stay here again!
