“Shashitsu no Yado Shirakamatsuri,” a traditional Japanese-style residence featuring a full-fledged tea room built 45 years ago. The house, which was also used as a training hall for tea ceremony, still has the charm of the design that attracts Kyoto craftsmen and pays attention to materials and craftsmanship in every detail. In particular, the "tea room" in the back of the building is made of natural materials, including earthen walls, columns, ceilings, and lighting. You can see stains on the earthen walls, but the traditional tea room is also tasted as "wabi and rust", so I dare to leave it there. It also displays antique kimonos, props, etc. from nearly 100 years ago. If you are interested in Japanese culture such as "tea ceremony", "Japanese style architecture", "kimono", etc., we would like you to have an experience staying in a tea room. In addition, there are many tea bowls for authentic tea ceremony. I would definitely recommend making tea with that bowl of tea once during your stay. Rest in the tatami mat room with your own futons. Small children who do not need futons (enough to sleep together) can stay for free. You can also relax on the terrace in the garden.
