Welcome to Kanminka Kanade🌱 Although it is a travel destination, it welcomes you with a sense of security like returning to a relative's house. We moved from Hokkaido to Noto four years ago. This is a share-home style accommodation where you can experience local life, meet people, and enjoy the slow passage of time. Gather around the hearth, look out over the rice fields, or have fun with board games. You can not only sightsee in Noto, but also enjoy the experience of "traveling like you live." We renovated a 150-year-old traditional house built in the first year of the Meiji era in 2022.The area around water has been completely replaced, and the kitchen and living room are equipped with floor heating, so you can have a comfortable stay.The hearth, which was buried under the floor, has been revived, preserving the good old days. The rooms are developed in 2 Japanese-style rooms with 8 tatami mats on the first floor and one Western-style room with 8 tatami mats on the second floor.Basically, it is not a shared room.Two Japanese-style rooms are next to each other, so you can use them as a group.Japanese-style rooms are a priority for large groups. Western-style rooms are separated, so you don't have to worry about the noise.The stairs are steep, so guests with weak feet will be guided to the Japanese-style room on the first floor. This is not a tourist destination.Surrounded by fields and mountains, you wake up in the morning to the sound of birds, and at night it is surprisingly quiet.The kitchen is stocked with tools for a lifestyle that includes fermentation, such as miso and pickles, which have been passed down in this region.There is nothing special; "everyday life" is the best treat this house offers. We used furniture inherited from local homes and flooring from a demolished temple.It is a space where the time of this land remains, with its scratches and tree rings intact. Our accommodation is standardly room-only.
