Family-friendly holiday rentals in Hastings Highlands

My friends and I had a great time at Elias' cottage! The cottage was so comfortable with plenty of seating room, enough bedrooms (with super comfy beds!), and a great screened in porch. Unfortunately we didn't have great weather, but we spent the majority of our time in the covered hot tub which was amazing. We look forward to coming back soon!!

Joanne has been a great host from booking all the way to check out. She has communicated with us all throughout the stay. She was kind enough to give us a flexible check in and check out time. The place was as described on the listing and instructions were quite clear as to what’s what. My family and friends had a wonderful time.

Sasha was a wonderful host. The breakfasts that were included were delicious . The setting was tranquil and we enjoyed the nature around us. The place and linens were very clean and comfortable.

Our stay at Dave and Bonnie's home was amazing! There was a lot of stuff to do at home itself including hot tub, sauna, jacuzzi, TV etc. They also provide kayaks and bicycles to make the experience more memorable. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and they had put up a mini decor for us 😇 All parts of home also had mini notes to help guide you with the small details. Places to eat at walking distance. Dave was super responsive and very kind to us during the trip. Book this place without hesitation!

It was another enjoyable stay. This is our second time staying at Micheal’s listing here in Norland. The scenery is beautiful and we enjoyed all the amenities. Thanks again for the relaxing getaway :)

Loved the cottage very clean, there was cleaning supplies and small things that they keep stocked with was very nice to be able to grab from when we ran out instead of going to town. The hot tub was great very clean, and the screened in porch out front was a great touch aswell.

We had an amazing stay at this cozy and clean cottage by the lake. The views were beautiful and made relaxing even better, especially while using the barbecue or soaking in the hot tub. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and there were plenty of board games and DVDs to keep us entertained. A peaceful and well-equipped place to unwind. Grocery and convenience store was located very close to the cottage. Highly recommended!

Being just a short drive to Algonquin Park allowed us to enjoy some fantastic hikes with our dog and we loved returning to the peaceful setting of the cottage afterward. This cottage is a gem, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene getaway or a cozy work-from-home option.

This place was a great size for our group of 10 and had a very spacious and comfortable main room where we could all gather to eat, play games and relax. The sauna is a nice feature as well. The kitchen was very well equipped. Kersti and her co-hosts were very responsive, accomodating and helpful.

What a delightful experience staying at this beautiful cottage! Everything from the rustic decor to the cozy vibes made it feel like the perfect home away from home. The space was clean, well-stocked, spacious and had everything needed for a relaxing stay. Shireen was fantastic, offering great local recommendations and being very attentive to any questions we had. Absolutely loved the peaceful and private surrounding with nature right at your doorstep. My husband and I stayed at Alan and Rosalie’s place for our honeymoon with our pup Phoebe. We had the best time ever. The photos don’t even do this place justice. It really is a little slice of heaven. So private and surrounded by nature. We enjoyed going on walks through the various trails that are well maintained and relaxing on the dock. We will most definitely be back to visit! Alan and Rosalie were also very welcoming and responsive!

This cabin at Forest Mills is perfect for a solo peaceful retreat. The bush setting creates a calming atmosphere where nature is ever-present. Inside the cabin is clean, modern and well equiped for a comfy stay. Inspired by this environment, I focused on art projects and personal growth. Daryl and Karen were available when I needed guidance, such as how to start the fireplace, while also respectful of my need for privacy. I look forward to return to the Forest Mills cabin in the future - it truly is a special place.

Had a wonderful weekend at the lodge, can’t wait to go back! Cindy thought of every little thing, all the extra little details were perfect and so thoughtful.

We loved our stay at Mark and Betty's chalet. The place was quiet and clean. There was plenty of space for our two families, a beautiful deck space for enjoying a morning coffee, an indoor pool for the kids to use at the nearby resort (at a reasonable cost and only a 5 minute walk from the chalet) and plenty of hiking trails nearby. The hosts were responsive and offered helpful suggestions for things to do in the area. We especially enjoyed Mark and Betty's art collection, the many klompen (for the Dutch in us!) and the giant pileated woodpecker that would visit the birdfeed in the morning.

Margaret seemed very nice, she left croissants in the kitchen for us to have in the morning. Overall a very cozy spot to stay and we had no issues. One thing I noticed is that there's an adjoining door that connects from her side of the building to ours and I'm not sure if it locks, maybe it does but I didn't see a lock option on my side. Anyway it still felt private and we definitely got what we paid for.

An amazing property with the most hospitable of hosts. The Cooperage House sits on a picture perfect lake surrounded by romantic ruins . It has all the amenities that you could ever want. Theater room, hottub, suana, firepit, firewood, tent outside, multiple grills, fully stocked kitchen. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated. Kitchen is luxurious. Large deck for entertaining. Large property for keeping children busy. I would highly recommend to anyone.

We had been itching to get back up to Huntsville since we sold our fractional cottage at another place. After 4 years we finally made it back up there and it was nice to visit our old stomping grounds. It is a beautiful resort with so many amenities. We didn't get to kayak as much as we would have liked due to weather but still had a nice time. Myron is a great host. Would love to come back again

We had a great time Gord’s place!The cabin is spacious, cozy, and functional with a fully equipped kitchen and two full bathrooms. Great location with easy access to the pool and a beautiful view of the lake where you can enjoy stunning sunsets right from the deck. The grounds are meticulously maintained with beautiful flowerbeds and ample lakeshore space, very quiet,creating a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Gord and his family are exceptional hosts—friendly, respectful, accommodating, and quick to respond to any questions we had. Gord even offered a flexible check-in time and provided two heaters for a couple of chilly nights. His local recommendations for nearby attractions were also greatly appreciated. Additionally, their thoughtful gesture of providing a play kitchen structure with toys made our toddler incredibly happy. We highly recommend Gord’s place to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. Thank you for a memorable stay—we look forward to returning!
