Family-friendly holiday rentals in Herkimer County

We took a weekend trip as a group of busy moms. We went away to find peace and be in nature and thats exactly what we got. The house was in great shape and well maintained.

We stayed at Jon's place for our snowmobile trip. Jon was extremely helpful with letting us know the local restaurants and where to ride. He went over and above trying to help us plan our daily rides. The BBQ was also put away for the winter but once asked about it, he got it out for us without hesitation. The cottage itself is nice homey place with a wood stove and separate games room where everyone can hang out. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place!

My family thoroughly enjoyed staying here and we appreciated the use of the kayaks, the beautiful and peaceful setting, and evening campfires. Most evenings we would take a walk down the road to view gorgeous sunsets on the pond.

We booked this cabin for a girls weekend getaway. It was lovely. The cabin is clean and well laid out. The kitchen area was actually a bit bigger than it looked in the pictures. The dock, the deck and the fire pit area have lots of comfortable seating to enjoy the views of the lake. Get up for the sunrise, it was beautiful. Just a short drive into Old Forge for restaurants and shopping and very close to the Bald Mountain Trailhead. Our first night we grabbed a bite at the tavern next store. The food and the service were both great! The host was very responsive and answered all our questions. I would definitely book this cabin again. Thanks for a great weekend!

Absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful! The weather didn't cooperate with us so it was very nice to have a comfortable home to stay in. Thank you for being animal friendly. Our dog got to experience a vacation with us. She loved it. The kitchen was very clean as well as the bathroom and the views are breathtaking. This is our second time staying here and I can't wait for our next vacation to go back.

Steve was very easy to communicate with prior to check in, through the stay, and at check out. The setting is very quiet, close to the lake, restaurants, and stores. Steve and his property manager went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable when we had a power outage after a storm. The yard was great for our pups to have their space while on their tie outs. Overall we have a great stay and felt welcome!

We loved our stay in Old Forge! The house is well taken care of and made for a great family vacation!

We always love being hosted by Palmer Point! Cindy is friendly and super responsive. The beds and couches are super comfortable and the kitchen comes with everything you need. The space was the right size to contain our toddler so we could do things but still keep an eye on her. The location is great and it's easy in and easy out, and the surrounding woods keep the Study pretty cool during the day.

Frances was a great host, very responsive, proactive and friendly. The house was perfect for our group of guys that ice fished 4th lake for three days. The pool table certainly got a lot of use at night from our group! Easy access to the ice with machines and Daikers was a quick walk or ride down the shoreline. Looking forward to making this an annual location for our group!

We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the cottage, which was decorated with fun and unique Adirondack decor. Larry was a friendly and responsive host. We would love to stay there again.

This house was perfect for the 9 of us (friends). Very spacious living room and waterfront screened in porch. The kitchen was redone this spring and is beautiful. Has lots of useful miscellaneous utensils/kitchenware/dinnerware. Some beds were more comfortable than others and make sure you bring your sheets and towels! Including kitchen and hand towels. The house is literally feet from the water and the views were amazing. Although it didn't bother us, keep in mind it's right in front of the boat rental/gas station so there will be people in and out for most of the day while its open (9-5). All of the workers were very nice and accommodated us with a spot for our personal boat as well as our jet skis. Thanks for a great stay!

Great place when you want to be on the lake. The owners were extremely nice. The free firewood was absolutely amazing. It allowed us to have fires every night.

Comfortable, cozy stay, close to the lake, house was fully furnished with everything necessary especially in the kitchen. Quick responses from home owner and flexible which was convenient. Early check -in and late check-out was a plus also

Bette and the cabin were amazing. We will be booking with Bette for our traditional family vacation from here out each year. We were all beyond happy with everything. Thank you Bette :)
