Lone Pine Cottage is nestled against the Chugach State Park. Walk out the front door and explore the meadow of wildflowers below, or the forest next to the cottage which leads directly into the Chugach. The Glen Alps/Flattop Trailhead is 1 mile up the road and provides easy access to amazing hiking, mountain biking, snow shoeing, climbing, and skiing adventures. Enjoy the unobstructed views of Denali/Mt. McKinley, “Sleeping Lady” (Mount Susitna), and the Anchorage skyline from 1600ft elev.

Pat may greet you on arrival & is always happy to share his love of Alaska & local insights. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This cozy studio feels like a peaceful cabin with the amenities of a home. A Queen platform bed in its private nook with custom shelving and the perfect relaxing area to enjoy your 55in smart TV. The mini kitchen features an induction stovetop, microwave toaster oven. The studio has a walk-in shower and washer and dryer. Although we are pup friendly there is a limit of 1 dog. We can't accommodate cats. Large yard but it is not fenced.

Nestled in a forest of Mountain Hemlocks hundreds of years old, the home is located in a quiet neighborhood only a 5-6 minute walk from the Glen Alps/Flattop Trailhead providing the most direct and easy access to Chugach State Park. There are endless possibilities for hiking, climbing, and skiing from the house. Or, if you prefer to sit and relax and read a book, the view from the deck or living room couch of the Anchorage skyline and Denali/Mt. McKinley is spectacular.

Our place is located in south anchorage up on the hillside surrounded by beautiful trees and right by the hillside park , it’s a very safe and private neighborhood. You will have you own studio apartment to yourself. We are 3.1 miles from the closest grocery store (7 mins). We are 5.5 miles from the alaska native hospital (11 mins). We are 0.8 of a mile from hilltop skii area and hillside park (3 mins) and about a 5 min. walk. We are 2.4 miles from the alaska zoo (5mins).
